The wing night here kills it, and drinks are colder outside because inside it's fire!

Turns out it was the owner. Lol, what an idiot. The staff were very embarrassed by her behavior but kept it moving like real professionals do. She's lucky to have staff like that.

We happened upon Marietta Tavern on Market and decided to try it out. I have lived here for 3 years and haven't been here yet so I wasn't sure what to expect. Holy smokes!! I'll be back!! It's a cute little space, very cozy. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. We were informed that due to the town event for the day it would be a limited menu. The menu we were handed didn't look limited at all. I can't wait to see the full menu on my next visit! I had the pumpkin praline French toast bake with caramel and a side of bacon. I'm not typically a pumpkin kinda girl but this was so amazing. The flavors were perfect and not overpowering. My sister-in-law had a crock of French onion soup that she said was the best she's ever had. It sure did smell delicious. She also had a steak tip Caesar salad. Service was great, attentive, friendly. I can't say enough good things about our first impression but I'm happy to support a hometown establishment that has delicious food and great service. I'll be back!

We have been going to The Whip for over 10 years now…read more THE #1 reason we keep going back is the staff. All of the staff make every meal a dining experience. The ambiance is great, especially in the warm weather, outside. The food is ALWAYS delicious, thanks to Dillon. Sarah and Tania are on top of their game behind the bar. Always scanning the bar while waiting for a pint to fill. Sheryl, Sam, Heather B and Lauren not only remember you name, but frequently what you ordered last visit. We tell all of our friends to go there. Frequently taking some with us. I think one word describes The Whip perfectly, FUN!!!

Ambiance of the English Pub theme was decent. Menu choices were plentiful. So Food review: Had wings for an appetizer. Asked to have them cooked crispy. They came out rubbery and undercooked - took most home. The maple lager coffee sauce was flavorless. Probably the worst wings I've ever had. Fish & chips were fair- the mushy peas were pretty good. Chopped salad was a nice size and was filled with toppings. Sticky toffee pudding was the best thing we ordered. Now for service: Server was friendly and helpful with questions we had. But the pace of the staff is like watching paint dry. I'm sorry folks - a lot of walking around looking busy but at a slow pace and the food was really slow to arrive. We waited a long time to get asked for a refill and it took forever to get our check and run our card. Overall: I wouldn't recommend the place to a friend. I think it's overrated - or else people with money have low standards for a great place to eat. The crowd seemed like classier people but they must have money and time to burn because I was not impressed enough to patronize it again. No photos as I was trying to enjoy a nice dinner out without my phone.
