Aside from the main bar room, there is an additional area in the back to dine in a bit more privacy. The menu selections and drinks are overpriced. The food is okay, nothing spectacular, my favorite item is the red bean hummus. If your looking for a casual night out downtown First Cap is a good pick.

I can see how a first timer can see it as being a bit chaotic, but don't let that stop you- ask anyone at the bar for help and they'll flag the bartenders for you. Live music via a great group of local musicians on Monday and a variety of acts the rest of the week. I hear the burgers are great, too.

A good mix of people were here..couples, singles, old people...what a place. There were a few big screen tv's and a couple pool tables, and lots of high tables to sit at. They also had a kitchen which serves, from what I heard, good soft tacos??? They were like 75 cents or something but it was 1 am so no time to try one. One bad thing for me, probably good for the majority of people: Public Smoking Allowed. Yuck, my clothes and hair were soooo gnarly smelling. I hate having to wash my hair everyday cuz it's so long, and this place made me shampoo twice in one cycle. Anyways, have fun and be safe!

I am a big fan of flights and am always so thankful that they offer liquor flights. I did a vodka flight this visit. You choose up to 5 liquors and they are $2.50 each. The PB whiskey was so dang smooth! I'm an Irish whiskey kind of lady, but this was very drinkable. I told my friend I was going to get a bottle of that as well as the vodka, but she talked me into the marshmallow whiskey instead. I haven't tried that yet, but I trust her judgement. The main thing to know is that it's definitely a place to sit and drink and not so much a place to eat. We popped in across the street to eat before coming to DL. They do have a pub-type menu with pretzel logs, chips & salsa, and pizza. That's about it for the offerings unless they have a special. The clientele there could be a bit immature and annoying, I hope they're good at spotting fake IDs. there were a few chicks next to me and my girlfriend at the bar and they kept talking (yelling) to each other and discussing loudly about, some inappropriate things that a drinking college girl would discuss.
