A decent dive with a damned good jukebox. The downfall - near F&M, and you get the occasional dbag, but always a decent mix of people that always keep it interesting. Cheap beer for cheap, chump.

Hildy's is a special place. A place where people attempt to relive their college years. A place where if you enter even for a split second you will leave reeking of cigarette smoke. When going to Hildy's you MUST take it for what it is: a towny dive bar. That said, they actually have some stellar local beer available here and also everything you'd expect. A good time will be had, but don't be surprised if your significant other asks you to burn your clothes upon your return home.

    Love you Uncle David

This is the best damn dive bar in Lancaster! Just the kind of corner bar I used to hang out in when I grew up in Philly!

Music isn't the issue, it's other loud tables that drown out conversation. We love the music and atmosphere but it's a bit uncomfortable. For visitors - it's a theme/gimmick bar, a lot of fun. However, the food & drink is the real surprise here! It's absolutely phenomenal. Best smash burger I've ever had. Best fries. Best veggie sandwich. It's simple, yet top quality. The drinks - the shots - locked in my memory forever! Plus the music selection has always been on point for the theme. Best in the county. Overall - so why not 5 stars? This bar is a must. I want to spend more time there drinking and hanging out. It's just missing some comfort features that prevents that. It's a small space so business wise it makes sense. I'm a little selfish wanting to spend more time there, but with more personal seating options. Owner(s) Help make this a 5 star and hear me out! Far from a 3.8 rating. I would offer some type of help/investment if needed.

It's much more extensive than I expected for a bar. While the food isn't necessarily the star of the show, it's solid and pairs well with the drinks. We ordered the kimchi fries, which made for a great snack to share The cocktail menu is the real highlight. There are plenty of creative drinks with clever goth-inspired names, including the signature Death Mix. Whether you like something sweet, strong, or adventurous, there's a good chance you'll find something that catches your eye. It's the kind of menu that makes you want to come back and work your way through the rest Service was fantastic from start to finish. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that matched the fun energy of the bar If you're in the area, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. Between the unique theme, creative cocktails, and great hospitality, it's a memorable experience that's a refreshing change from the usual neighborhood bar!

We started with the pretzel and wings, both of which were solid, while the cream of crab soup was decent. Around the table we also had the pizza, flank steak, and I ordered the salmon. The salmon was cooked well, although I would have preferred the feta served on the side since I don't typically pair cheese with fish. Overall, everyone left happy with their meals, and the restaurant had a fun, welcoming vibe. It's a good choice if you're looking for a casual spot with a varied menu while visiting Lancaster.

This one is in downtown Lancaster, so it's easy to get to if you're walking from other breweries, bars, or historic sites. They also have easy parking in a garage nearby, it's cheap but not validated. In the warm months, they have a ton of outdoor seating in the courtyard, that I'm sure is a fun place to be. Inside is also huge, with tables and booths toward the back, a full kitchen, and bar area up front. I also loved the little sofa areas in the window. At the host stand, they also have brewery merchandise. We sat at the bar; they don't do flights so I chose a couple smaller pours of the beers that sounded the best. The all lived up to my memory. The bartender was also super friendly, as was the host. It was a weekday early afternoon and it seemed like everyone there was already enjoying themselves. They have a great selection of fresh to-go beers as well. Prices are reasonable for the quality. If you're a beer fan exploring beautiful downtown Lancaster, this is a great place to stop for a pint.
