    Coffin bar Gargoyle.

I don't frequent bars anymore, but if I did, I would definitely go there. Looks interesting from outside, smaller atmosphere. I just like walking by and petting both Gargoyles on their pretty little heads!

Since this was a newer place since the last time we've been to Lancaster and it had such a unique name, we decided to try it out. It wasn't exactly what we were expecting, but it is a Goth themed bar. The concept is unique and we each tried a different cocktail, all of which were satisfactory. They were out of ingredients for one of the cocktails so we had to wait a bit while they ran out to the store to get what was needed to finish the drink. We browsed the food menu but didn't see anything that appealed us that evening although it did have a variety of things and of course it just has usual bar stuff as well like wings and smash burgers. I believe they also have some vegan offerings. We felt like it obviously leaned to patrons slightly younger than we were, but there were some older folks there... And by that I mean folks older than 40. Anyway it was unique & glad we stopped in to check it out. It's behind the CVS. Street parking & garages nearby.

This was our 2nd time being here and it was even better during the spooky season. The food was delicous and the drinks were strong! Our waiter was very attentive, even with it being a busy time of night. The restaurant has a spooky, devilish vibe that is perfect for Halloween!

We decided to stop in here for a drink on the 4th of July. We were never here before and we were so glad we stopped in! The bartender was great! Friendly and informative about the beers. I had a stout and it was very very good! The bar was decorated so well! For a themed bar everything was done just right! We will definitely stop in again when we are in the area!

Ordered the funeral rose it was absolutely delicious!

The gothic decor of the bar was cool. I enjoyed the drink I ordered. The bao buns were very good! Overall, I had a good experience.

Food was delicious and atmosphere was great! I had the smash burger and added an egg and bacon onto it. One of the best smash burgers I've had! Also had The Slimer to drink and ... while I forget what was in it, it was delicious! They were out of fries and also out of the first drink I wanted to order but I can't fault them for that! I hope that means they've been busy. They did forget our waters and my mom's drink but it was pretty busy when we went and they seemed a little short staffed at that time so not going to complain much about that because the waters and drink came out as soon as we mentioned it (after our meal already came). Overall a really welcoming place, and I look forward to coming back on my next visit back to PA

Absolutely unexpected gold. This is a "bar" which is so much more than a bar. It's what you dream a bar could be. Their drink menu -- fully complete by any cocktail bar standard -- includes some of the finest local draft beers and ciders you could ever hope to see on one menu. The atmosphere is, let's just say, exactly what you wanted. Low-key, colorful lights against a black background, high-end bar and furnishings, and great music. Their very authentic staff loves their work and you can see that they love meeting new customers. I'd stop there, but I'm not going to leave out the food: these people actually know how to cook! If you've seen my other reviews you know I'm merciless with bad cooking, but this place threw its amateurs out of the kitchen long ago. The kitchen offerings are amazing. Don't leave Lancaster without closing yourself inside the Coffin for a bit.

The vegan smash burger is BACK. This is, hands down, the best v cheeseburger in Lancaster. There's other vegan food too, but this is what I come here for. Glad to be able to come back after all this time.

The coffin bar is a must visit while in the city of Lancaster. The ambiance is dark and sultry. Perfect place for Friday night dinner and drinks with friends or your significant other. The drinks are an experience all on their own ( heaven and hell shots) thank me later thehe. The service is nice, and the food, uh uh uh! The food! Their crab rangoon dip with warm chips will have you coming back for more!

This was my 1st time coming here and will not be my last. Very cool environment, we went on a Friday during the day to have a few drinks. The business is located in downtown lancaster so you have to pay for meter parking or free after hours. I started with a thistle finch canned lavender lemonade for $8. Then I got caught in the rain cocktail for $13 was good. We did get an ordered of the kimchi fries to share and holy moly THEY WERE AMAZING!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It was an extremely unique atmosphere! There is an alter, satanic wallpaper, skull shot glasses, the taps on the wall have church like frames. Very dark but super cool. The menu has food named to fit the atmosphere. The food was very good. The vodka drinks were ok. We had some awful shots but the menu actually said they weren't tasty. So it's a thing. . An experience for sure! Felt very rushed but we did have a 9:30 reservation. She could have invited us to the bar, ‍. She was great while she served us though. Price was fair.

Aesthetically the location is on brand with the name. It's very grunge yet sleek. I love how everything coordinates and they give you the receipt inside of a little coffin. I also love how they allow you to pay via your phone- extremely convenient! To start I had the pumpkin soup, which was amazing and very filling. The coconut foam and pistachio were perfect finishing touches. I love that they offer two sizes (bowl and cup). I had the cup and it was more than enough. As my main dish I had the chicken katsu with a side salad which was amazing. 10/10, the Asian citrus glaze used on the chicken is delicious. My boyfriend had the coffin burger which was also delicious, the spread used was amazing- very savory. I am torn on the drinks our first round we had the espresso martini and the Rum ham, both delicious the espresso martini was good, the espresso was strong. Rum ham was perfect sweet and savory. Our second round is what I am torn about he had a milk punch ... it tasted like a citrusy yogurt and I had a blue green dream - very sweet. I wasn't a fan of either drink. My only issue is the noise level in the dining area, I would understand if the music was blasting in the bar area and you could still hear it in the dining area, but it was the opposite. Two speakers in the dining area and none by the bar. Overall I would come back, I would just skip out on those two drinks and maybe sit at the bar.

Their selection of cans is not as large as it used to be in the early days, but I think that's because they actually have more taps now. So three of the refrigerators now have kegs in them rather than cans. They also still have a nice little food menu with pizzas and sandwiches and things and I hear that the edamame hummus is outstanding. In fact, my sister-in-law brought back two containers of it to go for a friend in Connecticut who loves it so much I actually bought a 12 pack of Lawson's Little Sip to go. They do have a small kind of tight parking lot to the right of their store, but otherwise you can usually find some street parking in the summer they have tables out front.

Beer selection was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable considering the craft selections. We were heading to dinner later, but wanted to try some of the food. The French onion soup was outstanding. Probably one of the best I've ever had. The pizza was also solid and the perfect snack size. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area or staying at the Arts Hotel.

But after witnessing some deeply inappropriate and offensive behavior from the owner, I can no longer in good conscience continue to support this establishment. The owner of Musser, Pat, initially seemed like an okay guy. However, that impression quickly changed when I began to notice troubling behavior. On one occasion, I watched and heard him making racially charged jokes. I come from a time when people didn't take offense easily, and even then, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt--after all, he didn't know me and I didn't know him. But things escalated. I was present as in right there when a UPS driver--an African American man--walked in, and Pat referred to him as "his chocolate UPS driver." That comment made me pause. Still, I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe I caught it out of context. However, another visit left no room for interpretation. An African American inspector walked in, and without hesitation, Pat called him "Jamaal." The man immediately corrected him, saying, "Hey man, that's not my name--my name is Keith. Call me by my name." The assumption, the stereotype, and the casualness of that moment were disturbing. Why is the owner of a local bar so comfortable addressing African Americans with whatever name or label he sees fit? It's not only disrespectful, it's unacceptable. I work hard. I spend my money to enjoy good food, cold beer, and quality time withmy friends. I choose to support businesses that reflect those values--and this is not one of them! I will never return to this establishment. What's most troubling is that this behavior appears to be ongoing and unaddressed! Lancaster has too many incredible spots that deserve our time, support, and dollars. This is not one of them.
