    Pizza kicks butt!
    Mark V.

A perfect time at a micro brewery with great selection of beers, fantastic food, the best service in a long time, and entertainment as well! If you're looking for a night out to go to a micro brewery in the Lancaster area look no further. This jam in a strip mall totally exceeded all of my expectations! Starting with the beers. They have a very large selection of beers I was able to find IPAs, others in my group were able to find whatever they were looking for The next very important thing is to tell you how great the food was, and I mean, top-notch! Often food in these types of places is just good. Here it was excellent! The pizzas, the burgers, honestly, you could literally come here just for the food, even if you don't drink beer. Now get ready for this, I had the best service I can remember in a long long!! we were waiting for a table and our waiter came up for us and said would you like a drink now? Wow! Of course the answer was yes and everyone in my party got a beautiful beer while we were waiting to be seated! Now we're having a great time instead of standing there impatiently waiting for a table, which did take about a half hour, but that's because we got there late. That's another thing, you may want to get here a little early. Part of this place was rented out for a private party, yet there was still enough seating for everyone! Keep that in mind if you have a group that wants to have their own section. Now, as if everything I have told you wasn't good enough, we were there on a weekend and they had a fantastic band playing music! I mean, seriously what else could you hope for? This place is top-notch to me! I was staying at a hotel nearby, which allowed me to walk here and then back to my room! So if you were reading this and planning to visit the area, try to get one of the many hotels that are situated right next to this micro brewery so that the night you come here you can walk! This all made for a perfect night for my group! Extremely highly recommended if you're looking for great beer, great food, great service, great ambiance and maybe even some entertainment on the weekend! The best!!

We randomly decided to try this place on a Sunday night. There's a parking lot with plenty of spaces. When we got there, there weren't many people so we were sat immediately. The place looks a lot bigger than it appears from the outside. Our server was super nice and attentive. We ordered different rounds of food. The wings were good and had great flavor. The pretzel was a hit and enjoyed the two different dips. I loved my veggie burger and my husband loved the featured special sandwich. Portions are a good size for the price. We enjoyed the beer and like that there are quite a few options. Definitely will return.

We came to Big Dog Brewery....ruff, ruff, ruff. We were in Lancaster for a soccer tournament so we are not local. My intention was to watch the SEC championship (Texas/Georgia). While the place is less great to watch a game, they did have live music. I got a Big Dog Cherry Seltzer and we shared a pizza. The place is smaller, but I enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Service was great. I also won a shirt in a raffle as part of their Christmas party.

Great food and beer. My husband said the cheesesteak was the best he's had in a long time and my mushroom & spinach pizza was delicious.

Decent beer selection. Instead of flights you can purchase 5oz size but a 16oz is $6.50 and the 5oz is $3.00. So 15oz at that size would be $9....seems a little weird. Space is open with lots of seating and a private event room. Location is a good area with lots of parking. Food menu looks great! They are open for lunch during the week.

A nice little spot in a strip center. Stopped in for dinner tonight with my daughter. She got the Mac & Cheese and she loved it. I got the hot chicken sandwich, ordered it with tots instead of fries but it came out with the fries which I was sad about but the fries were seasoned really good. The chicken sandwich was super large and breaded perfect. My only complaint is about a half of an onion was on the sandwich which is way too much. The beer I had was good and I bought a pint glass to take home for the collection. Worth the try.

04/28/23 First time and we enjoyed ourselves. Service, food, drinks, entertainment, atmosphere was very good. Decor I thought was a little eclectic. I would recommend and return.

This place is a hidden gem. If you are a connoisseur of beers, check this place out and you will not be disappointed. If you are disappointed, call me a liar. Cheers.

This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. I then had the pickle cheese curds which came with a dill ranch and the boneless old bay wings. My pup got the burger patty off the doggie menu and by the pictures you can tell he enjoyed it =) All of the food and beer was delicious. The process for ordering through the window is super easy. I stopped by here yesterday with my family for dinner. We had ridden the Strasburg Railroad earlier…read morein the day and were looking for a place to eat when I fired up Yelp and found the Tavern by Spring House Brewing. It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.

Looked like there was only 2 servers for the entire place which was busy. My husband liked his chili, so that's the two star review. He said it had a lot of flavor. I had the brisket sandwich which was very small for the price with not a lot of meat. The meat had no flavor at all. Was not served with the au ju, which I had to ask for. Unfortunately, the au ju did not make it any better. The Cole slaw had a good flavor and was not sweet, so that was the best part of the food.
