    Pulled pork cheeseburger

I'll start with a positive: fun environment if you like the bar scene and entertainment/night life. Bar food expectations that pair well with a good beer selection. Negatives: not ideal for a casual inch spot with family. All high top tables with bar stools except for three small tables and uncomfortable seats/benches. Loud and dark. Two orders came out incorrect and took forever. There wasn't a lot of people dining for lunch. My burger wrap was room temperature when I got it. I paid extra for mushrooms and there were about 3 tiny slices. I couldn't even taste the cheese. Burger was dry and they didn't ask anyone how we would like it done. French fries are disappointing frozen crinkle cut. I'd recommend their meat platters - saw another table get this which looked way better.

UPDATE: We had the bridal shower! The room and bar area were both perfect for our decorations and guests! Jodi was so helpful and accommodating! The bride chose the food from a menu provided. We had pasta salad, Caesar salad, grilled pierogis, and pulled pork and chicken. It was all so delicious!

Nice rustic pub style atmosphere, near the Susquehanna River. The staff is amazing. They have large Tv's for your sports viewing pleasure. They have peanuts to throw on the floor , does it get any better than that??? There are 12 beers on tap which rotate seasonally!

Love the food here! Fried pickles to pulled pork on top of mac n cheese! Delicious!! The only reason I cant give them 5 stars is the chilli. Dont get it!!! Unless you like dinty moore soup with chilie seasoning in it. Had chunks of beef (not hamburger) and onions. No beans They also have the best orange crushes freshly squeezed!! Yummy

Omg!! I think this is some of the best red chile and cornbread I have EVER had! Go figure -This New Mexico girl saying that of a tavern in Wrightsville, PA! The wings and crab cakes are over-the-top too!! The cornbread was to die for!! Super great wait-staff too! Victoria, you rock!!! A HUGE thumbs up to the Burning Bridge Tavern!!!!

Love the giant table ,seats up to 12. Great idea.

The service is great. The food is very nice and when I went it came out perfect. Also the kids menu was only 5 dollars! So good.

We happened upon Marietta Tavern on Market and decided to try it out. I have lived here for 3 years and haven't been here yet so I wasn't sure what to expect. Holy smokes!! I'll be back!! It's a cute little space, very cozy. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. We were informed that due to the town event for the day it would be a limited menu. The menu we were handed didn't look limited at all. I can't wait to see the full menu on my next visit! I had the pumpkin praline French toast bake with caramel and a side of bacon. I'm not typically a pumpkin kinda girl but this was so amazing. The flavors were perfect and not overpowering. My sister-in-law had a crock of French onion soup that she said was the best she's ever had. It sure did smell delicious. She also had a steak tip Caesar salad. Service was great, attentive, friendly. I can't say enough good things about our first impression but I'm happy to support a hometown establishment that has delicious food and great service. I'll be back!

The atmosphere was nice and there is a huge back section outside with rocks that the kids were able to play in since no one was seated there. They have a covered patio as well as an open area closer to the bar- lots of outdoor space. The food took a little bit to come out but they were understaffed. The food was DELICIOUS! We had mild wings, pretzel sticks and the famous PB burger. Everything was fresh and hot and perfectly seasoned. I'll say these were the best wings I've had in PA! Great spot, we will be back for sure, I highly recommend stopping in!!

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. It sounds bold, and it is, but it works beautifully. The broth is rich and deeply savory, the cheese pull is perfect, and the crispy rings add a texture you never knew the classic was missing. The pork chop remains the star of the menu--huge, expertly seasoned, and cooked with precision. It's widely considered the best in the city, and honestly might be the best in the state. Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly. Between the inventive dishes and the warm atmosphere, The First Post remains a must-visit for anyone who loves great food done exceptionally well.
