Wonderful bar ran by wonderful people! The food was great and the service as well. Will be coming back.

long time customers. the new upgrades are nice but the changes to the menu is a major step backward. Mosby's used to be a good restaurant but now it is just an average burger joint. The only reason left to come is the crab soup. likely not enough to carry the day. read more

Mosbys is back! Well mostly. Simple menu with staples of wings, smash burgers, and a few other favorites. It's a more open layout and the service was great. There will be growing pains with this transition but I'm looking forward to patronizing my former favorite pub again. read more

The service and food is always excellent! And it's always a fun place to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night!

I went after work on a Saturday with a couple of coworkers. We had already eaten at another restaurant, and just wanted a couple of beers to finish the night. Mosby's was close, so we went in for the first time and sat at the very small bar. We drank our beers slowly because we were still pretty full from dinner. At around 10 pm, the bartender asked if we wanted anything for last call. I asked why were they closing early on a Saturday night. She just looked at me and pointed out we had only had 2 beers each in 2 hours. We just stared at each other. I was too tired to protest, so we paid and left. The bar was almost empty, so you can imagine our confusion. Didn't think I had to be an alcoholic to enjoy my friends company at a bar. We will never return. And from what all my customers say locally, this is an ongoing issue at this place. The bartender was a short, pretentious woman. But I hear the male bartender is no better. Why hire rude bar staff? Honestly, just drive a few minutes down the road and go to Joy's Tavern. Go when Dana is there. She is the best bartender in Mt. Joy. I'm actually sorry I went anywhere else. read more

Samantha and Mikayla were our Servers. They were courteous and helpful. We had the Salmon which had a mustard glaze. It was tasty. The Maryland Crab Soup was the star of this meal. We had 2 separate orders of Wings . They were a disappointment. Mosby's was known at one time for their wings. Not so much, now. We found that tapioca was used in many of the dishes. What a Turn Off. Wanted to surprise my date and I wouldn't call what happened a surprise. - Tim and Judy read more

This is a quaint, hole-in-the-wall place with good food and great service! I got Old Bay wings (I'm a Marylander and was thrilled to see this PA place had them!) which were some of the best I've ever had! My husband had the French onion soup and said it was great! Our server, who has worked there for close to 40 years!) was a big part of our enjoyment at Mosby's! If you want a true hometown delicious meal, head to Mosby's! You'll get a kick out of it! (As well as a tasty meal!) read more

The business hours for this establishment on the web state they will open at 4 pm today which is Saturday February 8th. When I arrive at 4:10 pm, the door is locked and a hand written sign posted there says "closed because of weather." I look around and there is no snow or ice on the ground or in the air. There is nothing weather related at all happening. I look at the weather forecast for Mount Joy and see a possible 1/2 inch of snow is expected. I'm thinking, unbelievable. This is a Saturday evening with a Super Bowl the following day and this place decided to close because of a possible 1/2 inch of snow! read more

I've been going to this pub since I was a teenager and have seen the pub change hands many times . With each change we have seen improvements. Currently the pub has a really great vibe with somewhat new ownership. However the quality of the food has changed drastically. The wings are poorly prepared. The salads are mostly brown wilted leaves . I'm hopeful that things will improve but from what I've seen over the past year, it looks like it's on the decline . read more

First, I want to say a few years ago I would have recommended this restaurant to anyone. After the meal we had tonight, I can't say anything good about the food. I had a Reuben; it was dry toast (not grilled), the meat was like a deli cut and thick, I couldn't find any cheese, sauerkraut was skimpy and had a lot of Thousand Island Dressing. Not what I thought was a good Reuben. My friend ordered the Shepherd's Pie. It was dry also (she didn't believe there was any gravy), the mashed potatoes dolloped around the edges were also dry. She sent it back and ordered a burger. The burger wasn't anything to rave about either. The waitress did tell us that help was difficult to get, and she was sorry for the poor quality of the food. Sorry to say I won't be going back to Mosby's again. read more

This place has been around since I was a kid. It has come a long way during that time. They have always had a great selection of wings, but now they have filet mignon and crab cakes on the menu. I had their hot turkey sandwich which was good, but the gravy was a bit salty for me (those words almost never come out of my mouth). Their desserts are phenomenal. Our party passed around a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing, cheesecake, pecan-crusted vanilla ice cream ball sitting in a small lake of caramel, and a whipped Bailey's cream pie. Lord, we ate it all! Trivia on Tuesdays?! Oh, we will be back! read more

Have not come here for many years, thought I would make a choice to try them again after five years. Appetizer came out cold. It was a crab cake like deep fry ball set inside of a mushroom, called it crab stuffed mushrooms. after having to ask for a second drink that they had some alcohol, the bartender informed me from across the room that I'm an alcoholic. well, sitting at the bar we ordered from the local pizzeria because it seems that I would get hotter food from there then i got here. it's the last time I miss the original award winning owners read more

Weird...just weird...this place was a classy place. But has turned into a gross dive... the salads aren't the same and the wings are diffrent. The bartender is hard-core and it seems rough now.Grrrr read more

We used to go here at least twice a week. After dining here tonight, I doubt we will go back. The bartenders on Saturday night are worthless. The drinks were weak, and they could care less. We asked for our silverware, because I guess they think you eat with your fingers! I never got my dressing for my salad. My husband asked for ketchup for his fries, and the bartender gives him a bottle that's almost empty and says, " I'll get you a full one when that's empty!" This used to be a great place to go to. Shirley and Priscilla and Shelby are the only shining stars left in the place. With all the new restaurants opening on the same street, you'd think that they would try harder to provide good service. read more

My husband and I were in Lancaster this past weekend for a baseball tournament and met up with my 2 brothers and their wives for an overdue visit. After being on baseball fields all day we ventured out to find a place for dinner before going our separate ways. We are from Southern Md. and both couples live around the Douglassville, Pa area. A nice couple referred us to Mosby's Pub which was about 20 minutes from the ball fields. At first glance to the entrance I thought is looked more like a bar than a restaurant. The front entrance was definitely deceiving! Walking into just a bar area, the bartender had a fairly full bar. There was no one to welcome us, so I went up to the bar side and asked the bartender if they served food. He looked at me like I was crazy, but I ignored his expression anyway and he finally directed us to a hostess desk where a nice young man sat us at a table set for 6. It was a smaller room but very cozy. The server, Shirley, attended to us immediately. She was very efficient, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. She told us she had been there 34 years. One brother and I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Haddock, others ordered a couple burger plates, Garlic Steak Bites, and my husband ordered the Club sub. It was huge and all the food was great! My husband and I thought this was the high light of our weekend enjoying excellent food and service with our family. What looked like a hole in the wall turned out to be quite a gem! Thank you Shirley! read more

Great food! We had the wings which were great and onions rings and potato wedges and burgers! Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend it. It was 4 people and the bill came out to $72 bucks not bad for all of the food we had. We ended taking left overs home since portions were big. read more

Not a huge fan of their food as I feel it can be bland the majority of the time. Feel like this restaurant can get a lot of hype from locals but I just don't feel like the food is up to par. read more

Yuck! One of the worst meals/dining experiences we have ever had. Very disappointing because for years this place had amazing food. They also had the best wings at one point. That is why we drove over there from York. The wings didn't even taste like Mosby's wings so either they gave me the wrong space or they changed the recipe for the sauce for some reason. The mushrooms in the mushrooms with crab imperial appetizer were not cooked and cold and the "crab imperial" was nothing more than a couple pieces of crab meat. The chicken tenders were so over cooked and burnt that my mother-in-law practically chipped a tooth trying to eat them. On a positive note, my 10 year old daughter loved their mac and cheese and tater tots. read more

Best wings ever. Get the extra hot. Best flavor of all the hot ones. Crispy and done with the right amount of sauce. You won't be disappointed. read more

Very good for wings, nice and crispy! The place is small but quaint! Mixed drinks were not so great, but it's definitely worth the wings! They also have a nice dining area! read more

See all

Mosby's is a little restaurant in Mount Joy. Decent variety of menu items. Appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, seafood, steak, etc. One thing I like is the daily specials. Most restaurants have "daily features" which are the same meals that are already on the menu and cost the same as the menu price. When you ask what a daily feature is, it's nothing but bringing your attention to the fact that this meal is on the menu. But Mosby's is different; their daily specials are things that are unique for that day that are not found on the menu. So, every time you go there to eat, you have the option of at least one meal that you haven't seen before. The food quality is good. The portions are ok. The wait staff is friendly. Good wings. The best time to go to Mosby's is on Tuesday nights for trivia, that is by far the most fun. You can play at the bar or in the family dining area and you can create teams and win gift certificates that can be used in the restaurant. It's a nice little out of the way place to try and easy to find on the main street in Mount Joy. read more

Been going to Mosby's for many years. But over the last year things have gone downhill. On our last (and final) visit both our meals were sub par. We were one of 6 tables in the dining area, but were never asked if we wanted drink refills. Waited 15 min for our check after we were done. Much better options out there. read more

Saturday the 10th between 2:30 and 3:45. Female bartender is not very welcoming. Had 2 drafts and still the same. Friendly with regulars. Guess I won't be one. read more

We went there News Years. Finally forty minutes after waiting for our appetizers, my wife's finally arrived burnt and cold, my soup never did. When our entrees finally came my wife's was wrong and mine was cold. We were told they would cancel the soup and discount her entree. The unitemized bill was $71, indicating no soup cancellation or entree discount. Stick to beer and sandwiches. read more

Been to Mosby's many times but it's not the first place I'd choose if I want a nice dinner. Burgers are ok but more like an oversized meatball than a burger patty. Everyone raves over the wings. Here's the facts: They win yearly awards but their sauces change constantly! Old favorite standby flavors have become nothing more than deep fried wings dipped in bottled sauces. There are still many to choose from but most aren't worth it. The bartenders are as inconsistent as the wing sauces! Some are downright rude & snarky. Others forget you're there & act like you're asking for a huge favor to get you a drink. One was actually sitting on a barstool eating her meal and my husband had to ask for a beer! Sorry ladies, but there are plenty of other bars in town - some within walking distance from yours so you better cool the attitudes before you lose all your customers! read more

Excellent atmosphere. Excellent béers on tap. One downside is that they dont have as many daily specials as the other bars in town. Food is good but slightly overpriced. Food is about as good as the other joints in toen that have cheaper prices read more

Ok. I have promoted this spot for years as the best wings, I have ever had. And I have had wings in many states. I have not been to Mosby's in 6 years. I heard they changed ownership and was curious if they altered the wings. They did. I have been going to this establishment since the owner/cook who was temperamental at best served the best wings. As much as the new owners try to duplicate that same taste, they sometimes fall short. The service and a burger were fine, but the only reason, I go is the wings. Good burgers are found in many establishments in the county. Disappointed. read more

I have to give it a star to review it but YUCK is what comes to mind. My family and I went on a Friday with no reservations but it was nice enough to sit outside in the smoking lounge ( we don't smoke) so we did. At least they were nice enough to keep us as far away from the ash trays as possible. So the tables are tiny for 3 people to eat, I'd say okay for two people. We heard so much about the wings and are such big wing fans we were so excited to go.....that didn't last long when the tiny dozen of wings came out to the table :( My daughter got a kids meal of grill cheese and fries that was 5.25 and didn't include a drink so her meal was $7.00 Wings - we got thai (very hot) - was the description but it was more like Red colored wings with no flavor....not hot at all Honey BBQ was good but it just was yellow....it looked like they forgot the BBQ. We got meatless nachos since I'm not big on grease on my nachos. I'm also a huge nacho fan so I normally ask what is on them because everyone's description of "Cheese" is different. The nachos were round, smothered in cheezewiz, with pickled peppers, black olives and scallions. It looked like a hot mess!!!! I have issue with nachos without real melted cheese. CheezeWiz is for Philly steaks not Nachos!!! So the bill - $34.00!!!! For a dozen midget wings, small plate of nachos, kids meal, drink and 2 beers. Oh and another pet peeve.....Don't charge for celery and dressing.....it is a wing necessity not an extra side! My final words - WORST WINGS in Lancaster! - Menu is NOT CUTE....misspelled words are stupid - If you are under 45 you will blow the age curve - dentures are required. read more

One of the smallest pubs you will ever be in but one of the best! This is the only place that still offer a frosty mug for your beer! Wow!!!! The food is great. I would recommend the wings, they are some of the best in Lancaster county. read more

Was my favorite place to eat. Now they've changed the wing sauce! Who does that after winning best wings for years? Not too long ago they changed their burgers too. Their burgers used to have no competition. They were the best. I'm afraid to order their fries, they probably screwed with those too. After coming here nearly 30 years, we won't be back. read more

My son and I went for wings today, the bartender was very friendly, really liked her. The wings were outstanding. Saw a lot of other good stuff I would like to try! Will definitely go back! read more

Horrible service waited over twenty minutes for anyone to come get our plates! Let alone our bill or the desserts that were included that they "forgot" read more

Yes I like wings good and Hot. This place was the one that got me hooked on the suicide style wings - so hot you cry with tears running down your face HOT. As I have gotten older I prefer to eat the wings - Just as hot, why not? Even though age may seem a rudimentary foundation to cutting back on spicy food I prefer to keep my insides as strong as the rest of me. Tuesday night is the only night you will get a seat at a table. If you aren't into the place by 6 PM on Wednesday or Thursday you will not get to sit down. Sometimes you wonder why everyone is here. I think the community meetings are held nearby, otherwise its just cramped to move around comfortably. If there was a pool table here I never found one, the place is always hopping when I visit. read more

I always enjoy Mosby's. Their salads are greatly but they have good classics as well. Their pub gets poppin so get there early to find a spot at the bar as it is quite small. read more

Amazing food and great beer selection. The staff is also very friendly. The bar area and dining room have a nice, cozy feel, and the crowd is very low-key. Im not a regular there, but I would be if I lived closer. read more

Wings here are good. They make their own blue cheese dressing, which is very tasty. If you can get there for the happy hour, those items are priced ok. Otherwise, it is a bit pricey. About $6-8 for a craft beer. Easy to rack up an over $50 bill for two even when ordering cheaply with a few beers. I've been here maybe ten times. Tried burgers, salads, ruebens, sandwiches. Everything is just ok, so the price is a bit high, except the wings are worth it. Beware Nissley style...they broil them, which sometimes just comes out burnt. In summary, if you're in the mood for wings, give them a try. read more

I love Mosbys. Have been coming here for years. Never had a bad meal. EVER. But you removed the app for rewards? Wow. That's a testament to how you feel about your local, loyal crew. But you're not local. Never even met you. Many have been frequenting far longer than I have. What a disappointment. read more
