So I'm not a local of Lancaster and I came here for Karoke night! I truly enjoyed the locals coming out just for Karoke - tons of fun! I also love the fact they brought a lot of old school jams like "Slim Shady, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, etc". As for food, I just had to try the 551 West World's Famous Peanut Butter Burger. So did I love it? Well I wasn't impressed but I still ate it. I didn't hate nor love it it was ok. The fries were good but not as crispy as I'd like them to be. Great Peach burger and we had an amazing server! Great night out with all the bands that played Sat. night.

It was 9:10pm on Saturday and we needed dinner. There weren't many options in the area. We saw that 551 West was open and came in. We came here for a quick bite to eat. Lots of beer options on tap! We had a great IPA. We had a great huge salad with steak! Lots of spring mix, cucumber, red onions, cheese, etc. It was so yummy and so big - we were nowhere near finishing it. My review is very specific - buffalo ranch wings. I've had the 5 piece multiple times and each time they hit better than the last time. I recently learned you can order them "well done" which made them even better. I'm not sure they actually fry them longer or it's a placebo effect, but I love it and that's all that matters. Fair warning - they are saucy. If you don't like that, I truly don't get that. However, it does lead to an issue where the skin isn't crispy but enter the aforementioned "well done" solution. My only hope and desire for 551 West is that there were different quantity options. I need more than 5 but less than 10. I'm hungry but not looking to get that big back. Fries are good. I wouldn't go for them specifically, but a nice accompaniment. read more

The food and drinks are fine but the man who works at the sky bar is absolutely unprofessional and extremely rude. I also had a friend who came here on her birthday and it got so bad they spoke to the manager. We also spoke to the manager when we came (by the way it was not busy and we only got an appetizer and two drinks) but he was still so rude and the manager just blamed it on maybe he was stressed. But it was barely 4 and no one was there. He needs to be fired this obviously is a regular thing for him and he's not in the right business. He needs to not work with people. read more

We came in at 2:30pm on the hottest day of the year and was greeted right away. The music and decor were understated, clean and bright ambiance. Has live music but not when we were there. We ordered the bacon wrapped grilled cheese for an appetizer which were very good and more than enough for two. Husband had a beer and I got a mixed drink. Both were very good. Large tap options and loads of mixed drinks to choose from. Husband ordered smothered chicken Mac and cheese which was huge! I got the jambalaya and it was large as well. Both food choices were excellent and enough to have left overs. Plenty of free street parking nearby. Worth the trip! This place is delicious!! Staff is super friendly, and it's a good vibe to meet friends, enjoy dinner, and hang out. Portions are very large so the price is very economical for what you get. It's been slowly going downhill. I gave it two stars because we used to really enjoy going there and it's sad to see it headed in the wrong direction. The food was really salty and we couldn't finish it. The crab cake was clearly frozen and was low quality. The past couple times we've been there the service is really slow probably to lack of staff. We ordered chips and spinach dip and nearly waited 30 min for it. Unfortunate but there are plenty other places to go. read more

This place was so fun! Every since they renovated the restaurant, it is one of our fave spots. IN the warmer months, their outdoor deck/"rooftop" is awesome! Don't be intimidated by how big their menu is, because everything is DELISH! We have our favorites, but each time we try something new it's amazing. Last night we tried their cheesesteaks and they were cooked to perfection! Also, if you are into cheeseCAKE you have to try one! Their flavors rotate weekly, so def ask what they are when you order. This is a tough one to review. It a gem for the neighborhood. The off street parking is a huge plus. The outdoor space is great and the food is fabulous. The waitresses I've had have always been friendly and personable. However the last two times I've been here the bartenders were rude. On the last occasion I was there I was cursed at by the bartender/manager on duty because a drunk bartender from Springhouse brewery tried to confront me for speaking to her manager about her lack of professionalism. I guess because she wasn't at her place of employment she thought she could be rude. I literally walked away from the screaming mess of a 25yr old female. A few minutes later the bartender/manager approached me cursing accusing me of starting something with his friend. He threatened to ban me for life, and cut me off continuously cursing when I explained. He threatened to watch surveillance video. I encouraged him to watch the video and repeated I literally just went to the restroom and was approached by the female. You will see it in the At that point he backed down and told me to stay on the patio and the other girl could stay at the bar. No apology or acknowledge of watching the video later. My waitress was mortified and apologetic of the bartenders behavior the rest of my stay. The other group even caused more serious trouble with other patrons after me. The least I should've received was an apology for jumping down my throat without knowing the facts of the situation. Not sure if I'll ever return. read more

If it weren't a local eatery, it would be 1 star or less. We came as a big group and the restaurant had 1-server taking care of all of us. No water, no cutlery on the table. Most everyone in our party, ordered a burger medium and all the burgers came out overcooked. The fries which looked hand cut were overlooked also. Too dark in color and crunch texture. 1. ***Get a better cook, quick! (No offense to the cook for he may lose his job but have pride in what you do!) 2. make sure beer you are offering on the menu is available 3. don't serve cocktails that taste like soda water 4. if the restaurant is adding 20% tip for large group, provide better service. This is by far our favorite spot in Lancaster! The vibe is relaxed, the beer selection is on point, and the BURGERS are the best in town. We usually order burgers but I have also had dishes such as the jambalaya and the fish tacos which were delicious as well. Don't forget to leave room for a slice of one of their homemade cheesecakes for dessert! Oh and one last thing that I love about this place... it brings such a variety of people together for not only the food but the entertainment as well. I'm sorry but when it's 70 degrees in may I expect to go to this restaurant n sit in the sky bar or deck and they allow people to rent out this entire area without warning. Maybe they say it on Facebook, but I don't check Facebook when I'm stopping into a neighborhood bar. This turns it off for me. I took a hiatus from this place and went back today just to sit outside and at 3 pm Onna random Wednesday and was not allowed and it was blocked off. When I left 2 hours later n looked up to the sky bar, no one was even sitting outside taking advantage, as we all who actually wanted to sit up there would. This is the third time this has happened and while this is a neighborhood gem, I certainly wouldnt come back bc I can never sit outside when I show up! WTF. Service is great, bartenders are great but seriously! You advertise as outside seating! What if someone comes from far away or for a special occasion! Block part of the outside bar off ok but Leave some for loyal patrons. Service is legit the worst in the city. I go to a lot of restaurants. For your takeout times, make sure you double them. It's a shame because the food is decent, which is the reason for two stars instead of one. I've been coming here once a week for probably over two years and have dealt with the service, but will be going to other places. Called in food tonight at 8:08, she said 20 mins. It's now 9:03 and still no food. Unreal. And eating in is even worse, we come here once a week for drinks and food and 90% of the time, service has us wondering why we keep coming. Avoid this place. I can't say enough good things about this place! I came here with three other co-workers after a conference we were attending. We started chatting with the owner who was also our server that evening. What a great guy! Super laid back and you can tell he cares about his staff and customers. My burger was awesome but one of my co-workers couldn't stop raving over his jambalaya. He says it is the best he's tasted since he's been down south! It did look amazing with lots of large pieces of shrimp and sausage. We liked it so much we came back the next night and brought two more of our conference attendees that we bragged to! It was AYCE wing night and the 3 guys we were with definitely got their money's worth! The wings were really good. They have some really unique flavors such as peanut butter/jalepeno/bacon and cinnamon roll. They have a ton of different flavors. The owner was there that night as well and he remembered us from the night before and did a shot with us! We truly loved this place and will be back when in the area again! read more

They also have a wide variety of meat lover options- your typical bar food but made with better ingredients and served up in huge portions.
