Who doesn't love fried cheesy foods? I'm not sure, but I know I do. The cheesesteak was tasty, but there was more bread than meaty cheesesteak. The onion rings were perfect! Refill your soft drink as many times as you can if you can find a seat inside. We pulled two tables together to seat our party of three.

Very good! Will go back! We had the chicken tandoori cheesesteak and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with a side of home fries. Both had excellent taste and seasoning, although the Nashville hot wasn't overly hot, it had a nice sweetness to it that helped make it quite delicious.

I just can't get enough of this place. Best smash burgers in Lancaster County. Tikka masala chicken sandwich that's something you should have in your life and the price is here are just really hard to be. Very friendly and very consistent not to mention lap Valley ice cream milkshakes

First timer last week and this is what local Lancaster eats needs to be. No hipster amenities, no pretenses, this is just a local shop that is obviously a big hit with those that know the owner and their desire to serve good food and surprisingly low prices. I saw one old review online that called place a great hipster establishment with great smash burgers... I'm hoping someday we just go back to plain English, without all the marketing garbage designed to bring in certain age groups. How about a place that's local, quaint, friendly, affordable that serves fantastic food. I read up about the tandoori chicken from past reviews - looks like we were too late that day, so I switched up to the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with Onion rings. My wife - Hamburger and fries. (This is where we reduce what, 1-2 stars cause they didn't have what I really wanted? toughen up buttercup, life happens... This isn't Outback. Here's our complete and total foodie review - with all the buzz words. Freaking awesome food. That's it... the entire review. I'm not gonna go over their slaw and the mix of pickle to mustard aioli, nor are we gonna talk about the breading on the chicken that its 1/32" of an inch too much... (reduce 2 more stars here for some). This is a local shop, run by friendly folks and while we were there, they were balancing about 19 takeout orders along with the continual walk in traffic... Popular indeed. So - bottom line - Give Route66 a try... but please, just leave an honest review, nobody cares about the mouth feel of the quad burger against the backdrop of a diet coke... Unless of course you're a foodie, an influencer and expect people to follow your lead. Don't count us in - we're free thinkers, God and Country loving Americans and its local shops like this that give us hope that the American dream is still alive and kicking! 5 stars Great food Would recommend We'll be back for sure to try more on the menu!

    Nashville chicken fries and burber

Burber was pretty good, maybe a little overhyped. Maybe I shoulda got a double. The Nashville chicken fries, they give you a lot of food for the price and theyre really good. Slaw. Crispy fried chicken. Imagine. Quite good.

This place has become one of my absolute all time favorite eats in all of Lancaster city, and all of PA for that matter. This was our second visit and after another successful and delicious visit, I had to pay my dues and give them the credit they deserve. Was able to snag some indoor seating with the wife for lunch after an appointment. The Tandori Chicken Cheesesteak is absolutely incredible, great taste and spice. The Cheese Curds were also very good, enjoyed them with the complimentary Marinara Sauce. My wife also enjoyed the El Dorado Chicken Cheesesteak and the phenomenal onion rings (thick, large, and crispy). This place has yet to fail me and probably never will. Incredible food, reasonably priced, and I'll definitely look forward to coming back for more.

Incredible is an understatement. Delicious food, wonderful and friendly service. Went in to eat for our first visit and a week later got take out. Try anything, you won't be disappointed!

Small place that has some outstanding food ! Very friendly service! First time checking this place out. Stopped in after the fly fishing expo so needed a good spot to eat. Only a few tables inside to get there early ! Grab a table , order at the counter and they will call your order number when they have your order ready. I ordered the triple smash burger with a side of fresh cut fries. Fresh beef patties , smashed. I had mine with LTO and Pickles and their Route 66 sauce. Also got a vanilla milkshake to enjoy! Awesome food with a reasonable price. Worth a trip if you're in the Lancaster area. Definitely will be back to try other menu items. If you haven't been here , you're missing out on a damn good time !

What is the definition of a gem and consistent? I'll wait.. ok forget it, I'm an impatient type of fella when it comes to this Uh-MAZE-ing location. *Consistent ~Unchanging in nature, standard, or effect over time. (I'll explain why I'm asking you in a few minutes.) *Gem ~ something prized especially for great beauty or perfection. (This is second meaning of a gem from the Oxford dictionary.) The reason why I asked you fine folks of the Yelp world this, is because this is what you'll find once you've visited Route 66 out here in Lancaster. A gem in the rough that has that consistency from your first bite, down to your last. What other place can say this? I've made the trips thinking there is no way my first time could have the same result. I made that drive people, from Philly all the way out here to Lancaster to see if maybe this was a fluke. Negative fam, these guys are on point. I went as far as to try their Tandoori style fried chicken taco's and their Nashville fried chicken sandwich. Blown away, simply amazing. I wish I could give these guys more stars than just 5. They greet you the minute you walk in , even when they are jammed up with customers, the owner is super friendly. Who would of thought that a small corner spot like RT 66 has that big of an impact in this community. Again Lancaster of all places! Just go in there, order your burger how you want, wash it down with a homemade milkshake, and you'll see. With kind regards, ~Nando **Side note~ These guys are Halal, which means there is no pork products, in turn there is no bacon. I never thought this is the one spot where I could care less if there was no bacon, because it is that good without it.

Located on a corner on a random street in Lancaster, this is a place not to pass up on. It's delicious, quiet and clean inside. The interior decor is very vintage vibes :) Immediately when you come in you are acknowledged and there's a menu right on the counter. We ordered a single and double cheeseburger with French fries. We sat down and got our food within 10 minutes (maybe less). I think it's a father and son running it, they were very efficient. The food was delicious I prefer here over a place like Shake Shack. It's like the classic smash burger and is super flavorful. Overall, I give it a 5/5. My boyfriend came with me and was like "I am debating on ordering a second burger just to take home" because it was that good. Will be returning, so glad we stopped by to try this place!

Great little place we would never have found ourselves. Nifty automotive theme as the name implies. We had a cheesesteak (worthy of Philly) and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich...juicy, crispy and delicious with just the right heat for me. Quick service. Both sandwiches were perfect and I told them so! Try it!

Yum! So good! The chicken sandwiches were tender and crispy in the right places. Tandoori tang was tasty. Balanced slaw. Burger was delish- tasted 5 guys ish but more assembled presentation. Classic well executed homemade fries. I appreciated that they had malt vinegar available.I didn't taste the onion rings but those who did in my party liked them. The whole place was small and had a nice vibe. I noticed the price programmed into the register that we were charged for a small ice cream we took to go was higher than what was listed on the menu. Maybe not updated there? Anyway, in from out of town and would for sure stop here again next time we're coming through.

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.

We fortunately were in Lancaster at the beginning of Spring, so the crowds were not as big as most other weekends. But you can tell the Dienner's is a huge tourist center. With all of the normal continental breakfast options (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, and more) with the local Amish food favorites too (scrapple, mush, pork puddings), you will easily fill a plate to eat! They offer eggs other ways, if you order them to the table. They also have an entire buffet of dessert options with cinnamon rolls, donuts, and pecan twists. The tables are adorned with horse and buggy sugar holders and placemats with the Lord's Prayer!
