551 was a great stop for lunch while we were in the city the other day. I had the. Cheesesteak & chili, wife and the black & blue burger.

My review is very specific - buffalo ranch wings. I've had the 5 piece multiple times and each time they hit better than the last time. I recently learned you can order them "well done" which made them even better. I'm not sure they actually fry them longer or it's a placebo effect, but I love it and that's all that matters. Fair warning - they are saucy. If you don't like that, I truly don't get that. However, it does lead to an issue where the skin isn't crispy but enter the aforementioned "well done" solution. My only hope and desire for 551 West is that there were different quantity options. I need more than 5 but less than 10. I'm hungry but not looking to get that big back. Fries are good. I wouldn't go for them specifically, but a nice accompaniment.

Great place!! The food and drinks were impressive and memorable! We had dinner here in the rooftop section. They accommodated 18 of us, which was nice. The bartender was our food server and he was also attending the bar. Service was a bit slow, which was nice as we were sitting among Familia we haven't see in years. Food was delicious as seen attached. Great place for evening drinks.

Great food. Usually ordered from delivery service over covid and I thought it was great. Spinach and artichoke dip is my go to app here.

They stay true to their name with their decor. They were coffin shaped shelves, gothic/satanic themed wallpaper. It's all very well done. Very unique! One of the staff members came over to tell us that their beer and spirits are all from PA. This was music to our ears! We ordered a local IPA. We shared the Brussels Caesar salad. It had crispy brussels sprouts and arugula. Topped homemade crouton. Dusted with Parmesan. It was delicious! Loved this spot! Will go back the next time we're in town!

Coffin Bar is one of the more distinctive brunch spots in Lancaster, and it works better in…read moredaylight than I expected. The vibe leans goth, with a definite metal/punk edge rather than a tightly curated "theme bar" look. It's not as uniformly designed as the name might suggest, but it is interesting and cohesive enough to feel intentional. During brunch, the space is well-lit, and they keep the heavy metal/thrash/punk soundtrack going at a very low volume, exactly the right choice. It supports the aesthetic without turning brunch into a performance. The food is the reason to come. The menu is built around the seven deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, etc.), and everything we tried was outstanding. Between the two of us we had Lust and Gluttony, and both were excellent, high quality, well-executed, and clearly made with care. Service was solid: efficient, reasonably quick, and professional. Not overly chatty, but attentive enough that you don't feel ignored. Drinks were fine. The mimosa and Bloody Mary were exactly what you'd expect: competent and enjoyable, nothing gimmicky. Logistics are also manageable for a downtown spot. Parking exists in the area, including garages nearby, and it's a comfortable walk if you're already in the city center. Overall: a fun, slightly offbeat atmosphere paired with genuinely great brunch food. If you like a darker aesthetic but still want a bright, relaxed daytime meal, Coffin Bar is an easy recommendation.

From garrulous bar boors and vapid bar whores to remote control freaks and bathroom drug sneaks, Hildy's has something for nobody. Hang your pride on a nearby tree and take three steps up the curved corner door steps to take one huge step down. If you like a drink that's stiffer than the two-day-old hot dog that got on the countertop ferris wheel and forgot to get off, then this bar is for you and the cough medicine high you rode in on. If you're feeling brave, try the hot dogs. If you're feeling braver, try the women. If you want a blender drink, try shutting ignorant noise hole. You can sidle up to the bar and select something from the "rotating" daily curation of liquor and beer, or begin with a step out the back door and a peek down the famed Conjugal Alley which runs behind the building--you might catch a show! If you like smoked meats and smoked clothing, bring them in fresh and they'll be smoked to perfection in about 20 minutes! Enjoying a drink at the bar, a patron might overhear some wayfaring, well-to-do tourists who have wandered in describe it as " a punch in the face without the upside" or "a waking fever dream," while non-tippling neighbors just call it "that god d$%n bar on the corner." As one delighted out-of-towner once said, "This ain't no Applebees, these bartenders got sass!" This bar is the the Grand Lady of dive bars, standing astride the bar world like a colossus whose competitors have gone by the wayside and whose greatness has gone unchallenged. In short, this bar is amazing, and if you're too good for here, you're not good enough for anywhere. The bartender from Brendee's did not write this review.

I've had South County beers over the years and already knew their reputation for great stuff thanks…read moreto friends. This was my first visit to any of their locations and I really enjoyed it. This one is in downtown Lancaster, so it's easy to get to if you're walking from other breweries, bars, or historic sites. They also have easy parking in a garage nearby, it's cheap but not validated. In the warm months, they have a ton of outdoor seating in the courtyard, that I'm sure is a fun place to be. Inside is also huge, with tables and booths toward the back, a full kitchen, and bar area up front. I also loved the little sofa areas in the window. At the host stand, they also have brewery merchandise. We sat at the bar; they don't do flights so I chose a couple smaller pours of the beers that sounded the best. The all lived up to my memory. The bartender was also super friendly, as was the host. It was a weekday early afternoon and it seemed like everyone there was already enjoying themselves. They have a great selection of fresh to-go beers as well. Prices are reasonable for the quality. If you're a beer fan exploring beautiful downtown Lancaster, this is a great place to stop for a pint.

Alex was our server and was very attentive. A really great personality. I love sitting in the courtyard. When this was the Pressroom I was here all of the time. I love the waterfalls also, so relaxing. NOW for what I didn't like. They now charge 3% for credit card use. This is a pet peeve of mine. Credit Card companies have charge every business a fee for their use. It is not something new. Grocery stores, movies, bars, department stores, sporting events, etc. This is a scam in my opinion. My advise average out the cost of the CC and raise your prices to meet that demand, or raise your prices and give me a discount for cash. Almost no one carries cash, captive audience. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO CHARGE FOR A DEBIT CARD USE, IT IS NOT A CREDIT CARD AND THE BANK DOES NOT CHARGE 3%. Durbin Amendment (part of the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010), prohibits merchants nationwide, including Pennsylvania, from applying surcharges to debit card transactions.
