Stopped by Bulls Head Public House and had a really great time. Awesome atmosphere, good vibes all around. Food was on point and the drinks were solid. Service was friendly and easygoing too. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

Quite possibly one of the coolest bars I've ever been in. The beer selection is solid and those bourbons they had on the wall? Amazing. Also, the food doesn't suck. Can't wait to make it back!

Our first time in a British style pub. Had lamb shepherds pie, sausage rolls and Scottish eggs. You order up at the bar. The food came fast, fresh and hot. The over all setting is old school.

Our first visit to Bulls Head Public House was a hit! We enjoyed the true British Pub atmosphere and vibe, the menu was great, and our lunch was delicious. Across the table we had fish and chips, tomato bisque, and sausage rolls. It's seat yourself, orders are taken at the bar and the food is delivered to your table. Busy spot in a great location. The traditional 'pies' sounded really good - the pie of the day was steak and Guinness. All dishes coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. We will definitely go back if we're in the area.

Step inside, Order your drinks and food at one of the bar locations. Find a table, sit down and wait for your food to be delivered. The bar was crowded. Food was pretty good. French Fries were delicious. Overall, not bad.

This was our first stop after arriving in town. We stopped for lunch. When walking in the bartender told us we can sit anywhere and grab a menu at the door. We chose a table in the room next to the bar and checked out the menu. You have to order everything at the bar and they give you a number to put at your table. Once your food is ready it is brought to your table by runners. We ordered a Scotch egg, rice bowl, bulls head burger and four different draft beers. The food came out quickly and was flavorful. Good stop overall. We spend approx $84 before tip.

Bulls Head caught our eye walking around downtown Lititz. Seeing that it was English Pub food, we decided to go for an early dinner. The food was great and the menu had every pub staple from bangers and mash to fish and chips. The style of service is different to most American restaurants as there is no table service and everything is done through the bar. The staff was really nice explaining this to people who asked, and there are directions on ordering set on each table. We sat close to the bar and I could hear how helpful and friendly the bar staff was to everyone who came in. We got our food pretty quickly and enjoyed a beer while we waited.

I had been saving this place for years, if I came without my hubs to a British kind of pub I think he would've killed me lol. My mom wouldn't appreciate a place like this. Anyway we came and it was delicious. When my son accidentally fell off a stool the waitress right away got him some ice as he cried. Definitely gave the whole London pub vibe too (we've eaten in one :P)

Hands down fave British pub in PA. I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. I had bangers and mash... Their root vegetables are delicious. I'm not even a fan of cooked carrots, but there are out of this world. They did not have Fullers ESB on tap, but a different ESB that I had not tried, and it was equally as good. If you like UK pubs, and UK beer and you want a proper pint and some proper British food this is the place for you!

Excellent as always. I took my 10 year old son for lunch. No more kids menu for him! He had the chicken & leek pot pie. Happy as can be. I had the seasonal salad and some pub fries. Really good. Some of the finest fries around. Also had a small plum beer 7.5% abv. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Got the Fish & Chips & Shepherds Pie. Average greasy bar food. Tasted okay, but just a little underwhelming. On to the next one.

What time is brunch on Sundays?

They serve traditional English breakfast - which is only on Saturday at 8am - 11am. There is no Sunday brunch that I am aware of, and open at 11:30 on Sundays. On holidays (Mother's Day, Father's Day) General Sutter Inn will often do a special… Read more

It is a tiny building but they are doing it right! There is complimentary valet parking which was great because I have no idea where we would have parked. We were seated at exactly 4:30, and our server was friendly and fast. RJ and I ordered Downeast Peach Mango Cider which was refreshing and delicious. We started with crab and artichoke dip and beef and weck eggrolls, and our table ordered 2 fish and chips, the "Luxury" seafood pie, shepherd's pie, and the beef on weck sandwich. My weck included onions, mushrooms, swiss, and bacon with a side of au jus and horseradish. Yum, what a salty, savory, spicy combo. The roast beef was very tender and juicy. The fish and chips were all enjoyed, as were both pies. We did not make it to dessert but will try that again another time. We were in and out in about 1 hour without being rushed at all. We will definitely return to the Whip!

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

We had ridden the Strasburg Railroad earlier…read morein the day and were looking for a place to eat when I fired up Yelp and found the Tavern by Spring House Brewing. It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.

Looked like there was only 2 servers for the entire place which was busy. My husband liked his chili, so that's the two star review. He said it had a lot of flavor. I had the brisket sandwich which was very small for the price with not a lot of meat. The meat had no flavor at all. Was not served with the au ju, which I had to ask for. Unfortunately, the au ju did not make it any better. The Cole slaw had a good flavor and was not sweet, so that was the best part of the food.
