Our server had amazing attention to detail and came around often to answer questions and grab what we needed. The most enjoyable experience at the Plough was the hostess and bartender. The martini was excellent. We had the crab beignets and I believe the oil was not hot enough so they were soggy! I had what was suppose to be ravioli and it was unusual and was served 6 and they reminded me of recooked potstickers. I tried two which were undercooked and left the rest. My wife had the pasta dish which was very tasty however the pasta was not cooked properly and stuck together . My son in law had the steak which was ordered medium and was served well done To end on a good note the ice cream was excellent! Was in Thursday night about 1015 sat at the bar with my friend. The bartender was a younger guy blonde hair to just shoulders. Seemed to have no care in the world to interaction. To never be greeted acknowledge or anything at all. After 15 minutes we got up walked to another location. On our way back we thought let's try this one more time. At this point it is 1125. We sit at the bar again to the same greeting no look hello or nothing. Finally at 1132 the young man approached us to tell us unfortunately we did last call and I can not serve you anything but water. Maybe a soda. By the time we got in I wasn't very hungry so we decided to get some drinks and a few things to snack on. My experience at Plough started off pleasantly. It was quick, easy, and convenient to get a seat, and the waitress was delightful. Based on the menu, I placed my order, but I was unaware that one of the dishes contained cilantro, which I'm allergic to. Shortly after taking a bite, my mouth began to swell. Thankfully, I had Benadryl with me and was able to manage the reaction.I decided to order something else since I was there for dinner, but the second dish was not to my liking at all. I didn't eat it and informed the waitress that I was unhappy with it. Despite this--and despite the allergic reaction I had just experienced--management never came over to apologize or even acknowledge the situation. They also refused to remove the second dish from my bill or take it away from the table.This was extremely disappointing customer service, especially since the waitress never asked about food allergies. Well, my second visit to plough in the last year while traveling to Lancaster. The reason for even giving 2 stars was the service. Our server was professional and attentive. We had the tomato bisque turned into a crab soup while very over priced was actually good. My wife and son's meal was average at best my meal was utterly a disaster. I had a pork Chop that was served under cooked. It came pre sliced which in its self odd and very fatty again odd. It was almost like it was pieced together from random pieces of pork. Surprised by the overall reviews. My coworker and I always have a great time here for lunch and dinner. The staff is kind and attentive when it's not extremely busy, but they do check in which is perfect. The food is always good. I've tried a decent portion of their lunch menu and some dishes on their dinner menu, only disappointing fall menu item was the focaccia (don't get it, very flavorless and dense). The meat is always cooked to perfect, the flavors are well balanced and definitely some of the best food in the areas. Presentation is also a plus, I always appreciate the clean/modern aesthetic The restaurant certainly feels posh if that's the right word. Modern style seating and lighting with a large bar. Because it's connected to the Marriott they seem to get quite a few convention goers/business around the dinner hours. We ordered the house-made focaccia and a brussel sprouts caesar salad to start both unique dishes but were good. Ordering the short rib beef bourguignon dish and a squid ink spaghetti pasta with lobster dish for entrees. Dishes were both very good and would be a reason we return. We came here to celebrate my birthday and had such a wonderful time. J was our server and was very kind and celebratory. The ambiance was the perfect spot for a date night or special occasion! It was quiet, moody and romantic. The food was hot, flavorful and everything we were looking for in a good meal. They switch their menu seasonally and it was perfect. We started with the focaccia and warm autumn salad. Both were fantastic. For our meals, we both had pastas. They came out so hot and fresh. We loved them. The mushroom pot pie was very salty The mushroom ravioli was a 4 x 4" piece of tough, undercooked pasta with a small pouch-like piece of pasta filled with cheese, placed on top. The mushrooms appeared to be canned and were just splattered over the top. There was no hint of hazelnut or lemon and no spinach anywhere. They decaf Americano looked like tea and tasted terrible.
