Went for a weekday happy hour and it's a great spot! Wasn't too crowded. Service was great. Food is made to perfection!! Beer menu is pretty big with a great variety.

This spot is very good. Had the Szechuan peppercorn wings they are amazing. You can definitely feel the tingle but also not for everyone. Fries were very crispy and also got a warm pretzel with great cheese. Unsure how many people know of this place but sure seems like they deserve more recognition.

More seating and part of the bar

Correction that the hours on Yelp are incorrect- check the website. They are open Monday and Tuesday but with outside food vendors. We went because the lobster truck was there today but we'll be back! My husband loved the Witbier and I had a delicious glass of wine. The new location is SO nice! Lots of parking and room to sit either inside or outside.

Friendly staff. Good beer (although I wished they had a wider variety) and food. (Mmm....grilled cheese made with jalapeno poppers!) It's located on the edge of a residential area. Easy to find. Glad we went!

Went on a Saturday evening. I got the beef tallow fries and fish and chips. The fish and chips were so good! Very light tempura batter and the fish (cod) was flaky. The beef tallow fries were very good and you can definitely taste the difference between the tallow fries and the normal fries I got with the fish and chips. Service was very good too! Super attentive. They are doing something good there.

Great upgrade in location since Cartel moved to the old Hunger n Thirst location off Harrisburg Pike. New locale has an abundance of seating, great offerings of pub style food, and plenty of parking in their private lot. The new location offers plenty of beers on tap, and has a couple guest taps as well. Service was superb, with friendly bartenders and workers during the lunch hour and quick service. Highly recommend the Indecision Coalition Belgian Dubbel or Vox (Populi) Pilsner.

Loved the PB&J iPA and the Maiden Porter. Kyle was an awesome host, personable and very knowledgeable about the beer process. Apprecthow they accept pups! Beer is well crafted and thoughtfully made. Kyle said there's no lactose to date with their beers. Come here if you want a chill environment but a serious respect for craft beer not stupid trendy followings.

Best beer, best sour, and best cider I've ever had. Not exaggerating. Fun place to hangout with the staff or other patrons.

    Delicious beer and man xo

I see that Seven Gates Pale Ale made the year-round menu, very cool. I'm NA these days so I passed (sigh) but very glad to see this flagship beer in its rightful place. Two Butcher Platters were ordered. Well done! Everything on the platter was excellent. Brisket nicely sliced, not shredded. Two Smashburgers were ordered. Excellent flavor and two patties were very fulfilling. Well done. I'll add, get the sweet potato tots, amazing! I had chips as a side and they were also hard to beat. The doggie chicken was awesome...for the dog... Thanks Spring House, keep up the great work!

I wish I had his name but the guy who took care of us the entire time was fantastic! He greeted us promptly, explained the process of ordering at the window and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I started with a 10 oz of their hazy IPA. I then had the pickle cheese curds which came with a dill ranch and the boneless old bay wings. My pup got the burger patty off the doggie menu and by the pictures you can tell he enjoyed it =) All of the food and beer was delicious. The process for ordering through the window is super easy. In an effort to keep the dogs safe, all of the plates, utensils and cups are plastic or another safe material when dining on the doggie deck. Overall, Reaper and I had a great experience. The bartender will remember Reaper so please let him know we said thank you for the great service last week!!

They stay true to their name with their decor. They were coffin shaped shelves, gothic/satanic themed wallpaper. It's all very well done. Very unique! One of the staff members came over to tell us that their beer and spirits are all from PA. This was music to our ears! We ordered a local IPA. We shared the Brussels Caesar salad. It had crispy brussels sprouts and arugula. Topped homemade crouton. Dusted with Parmesan. It was delicious! Loved this spot! Will go back the next time we're in town!

Coffin Bar is one of the more distinctive brunch spots in Lancaster, and it works better in…read moredaylight than I expected. The vibe leans goth, with a definite metal/punk edge rather than a tightly curated "theme bar" look. It's not as uniformly designed as the name might suggest, but it is interesting and cohesive enough to feel intentional. During brunch, the space is well-lit, and they keep the heavy metal/thrash/punk soundtrack going at a very low volume, exactly the right choice. It supports the aesthetic without turning brunch into a performance. The food is the reason to come. The menu is built around the seven deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, etc.), and everything we tried was outstanding. Between the two of us we had Lust and Gluttony, and both were excellent, high quality, well-executed, and clearly made with care. Service was solid: efficient, reasonably quick, and professional. Not overly chatty, but attentive enough that you don't feel ignored. Drinks were fine. The mimosa and Bloody Mary were exactly what you'd expect: competent and enjoyable, nothing gimmicky. Logistics are also manageable for a downtown spot. Parking exists in the area, including garages nearby, and it's a comfortable walk if you're already in the city center. Overall: a fun, slightly offbeat atmosphere paired with genuinely great brunch food. If you like a darker aesthetic but still want a bright, relaxed daytime meal, Coffin Bar is an easy recommendation.

This was my 2nd time coming to Mad Chef!…read more The first time I came here was about 2 years ago (before doing yelp reviews). I was not very impressed. This time around I cannot complain! Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

Big Sigh... An attempt to create something good, unsual, but…read morenot only falls short in doing so, the inflated prices were enough for you to rethink your groceries for the week. Maybe what I smelled upon walking inside Mad Chef, were hops; I'm unsure. There was a lingering, unpleasant scent (hay/old peanut shells, an earthy staleness). When my food arrived, the scent dissipated. I purposely took a picture of the fish, on my fried fish sandwich, to illustrate what $17 and some change, looks like - very thin. The fish fry was tasty, slightly undercooked, soft crusted and soft bun, fresh condiments and those "pickles" were stellar. They were the best part of my meal. I would seriously purchase a jar of those pickles. Was wary of how hot honey would mesh with a pepperoni pizza, but surprisingly, the sweet heat and the savoriness of the pepperonis, worked well together. The only miss and it's a pretty big "miss," was the paper thin, tasteless crust, acting only as a vehicle to hold the toppings. Suggest you improve the crust and then, you'll have a stellar pie. Loved the peach bread pudding with brown sugar ice cream, but once again, for the price; the portion was skimpy. Liked the touch of homemade whipped cream, but it was overly whipped (stiff and tasteless), making it actually, impalatable.
