    Interior, open side door
    Angela M.

Man, oh man! We've wanted to visit here for quite some time so when the moment finally came we were excited! The interior/ set up of this place is honestly amazing. It's modern and open which could really make for an awesome place to visit! However, the food and staff are what keep people out! First off, our wings literally were thrown on the plate with a very watery sauce under them! They weren't coated in the slightest! My celery was old, when I bit into one piece is was slimy and gross I literally spit it out. On the menu they had a summer time special watermelon marg, our glasses were to be rimmed with salt and sugar... they were half rimmed and messy, the drink itself was not mixed well, and had huge chucks of watermelon still inside which made it even hard to drink. While all of this was already a bad taste in our mouths, we then got to witness our server literally yelling at her coworker over something.. just extremely unprofessional, this was our first and last time visiting.. so unfortunate!

    Punt and a pint.

So the PLACE is on point. Clean. Modern. TVs all around. Saturday afternoon and it was empty though :(. LOOKS like a great hang out spot. Menu is pretty straight forward. We just got soup and a pint on a cold afternoon .... I got that brisket chili and my dad got the broccoli cheddar. Comes in a small crock ... and his came with crackers but mine didn't (?). I asked for those ... along with a clean spoon since the one I had was pretty dirty. The waitress was super nice, honest and was always hustling.

Gluten free and celiac friendly with a separate fryer for the fries!

This place is amazing! Very serious about gluten allergies and have a dedicated fryer for all your fried options. The space is esthetically pleasing with its industrial look. They have huge bay doors that open to let the sunshine and breeze in during the hot summer days. Tvs all over for all you sports fans with great beer and liquor deals! If your in the harrisburg area come check them out!

Sorry to post this. I know we are all short handed. But if life hands you lemons make lemonade. Move on from the Global excuse Menu looks great. Atmosphere is awesome. ...... that's all I got. If you want a place to go seat yourself then have the staff stare at your ONLY party of 6 for 20 min then it's your place!!! I thought it was a restaurant at first. But then it seemed possibly extended seating for the train station. Not sure but after many awkward eye contact/zero response moments we kindly handed ourselves to the door. Funny enough place down the street was just as short handed loads more customers and simply start by saying "hello welcome, please be patient we are doing our absolute best, can we start you with water?" Wow same problem, different approach. Best of luck we truly feel you probably had great food.

Don't serve food, it was disgusting. Going with a hop favorite seemed safe so I can't even imagine how bad the rest of the menu is!

Wow! My companion…read moreand I stopped in on an early Saturday evening after months of "you know, we should try that place sometime." We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Our biggest regret is that we waited so long to finally visit...and we'll definitely be back soon.

We started off with the mushroom flatbread, which was delicious. Hubby had the mahi-mahi special and I had a shrimp dish. I got to choose what kind of topping I wanted on my shrimp, which was really interesting. I chose the sautéed mushrooms. Yum. Plus, lots of great choices for sides. We will definitely come back when we are in the area!

With my job, I eat out quite a bit so it takes a little more to impress me. First, the staff was great! The owner even came around to make sure all was good. If you are within an hour drive from Palmyra, you need to try this place. Not really for families with young children, but it would make a wonderful date night. (or apology meal. LOL) I will be going back here for sure. Especially this summer when the outdoor seating is open.

They took one of the classic homes on Main Street and turned it into a restaurant, with lots of outdoor seating on a patio out front, a bar and high top area in the main room to the right, but quieter dining in the back and upstairs. It's bright and clean, but still keeps that old feel. They have a full menu; this visit I was in with a friend and we both opted for steak dinners, which are served with choice of sides and sauce. Prices are reasonable for the area and quality of the food, but definitely higher than a typical meal out in town. They also have a wonderful beer list, with lots of local choices and fresh kegs. Service was great, we had a friendly server who was attentive all evening. I can definitely see why this place is still around and as popular as ever; if you're looking for something a little more special in the area, this is worth the trip.

My companion and I didn't sample the menu, but everyone around us was eating and clearly enjoying their meals and the dining spaces were FULL on an early Friday evening. To ne, that speaks volumes.
