I'm surprised to see the overall rating on this isn't higher. I find it to be a pretty reliable late-night option for food as I'm passing through town. The bartender, Jillian, is pleasant and helpful, and the food is decent. Not gourmet. But better than I'd expect from most places at those hours. I generally get the tomato basil soup and some kind of salad. The salad options are good, really. I sit at the bar, and the degree of socialness of people varies a bit, but overall I'd say people are friendly. So, as a late-night person, I look forward to it on trips when I'm not quite ready to sleep as other places close. read more

You know what? I am SO sick and tired of paying an arm and a leg for the smallest amount of food. Needed a quick place to stop on our way to a concert figured wings and potato skins wouldn't be bad. $10 for 4 POTATO SKINS. That's literally 2 single potatoes and not even large potatoes. These were small to medium at best. 2 freaking potatoes cut in half for $10. We got 10 wings for $15 and asked for two flavors. They didn't bother to seperate the flavors so our sweet chili Thai mixed and blended with mild wings. Couldn't even discern each flavor. Additionally I asked for ranch and celery and they gave us 4 small celery sticks wrapped in a piece of paper for 10 wings. This is the equivalent of a SINGULAR stalk of celery. For these two things and nothing else we paid $30 which is ABSURD for the amount of food we received. I'm so sick of these places taking advantage with their crap food. Do better. This menu has everything you would like in a sports bar. It was 3 of us and we all ordered wings. I will have to say they do let you mix your sauces and the wings are wet. The sauces are good. I placed an online order for delivery but when I updated something on the website right before I hit complete order, it changed it from delivery to takeout. I called to cancel my order because I was unable to drive in and pick my order up. the first person I talked to claimed that she wasn't able to even cancel my order, but then she offered to get her manager for me. I explained to the manager, Heather, what happened and she offered to cancel the order or she could drive it out to me herself. I was blown away that she was willing to do that. Our party of eight enjoyed meal for the most part. It was AFTER we were done eating that the trouble started. Waitress left plates on table while we sat having drinks after meal, so someone in our party finally asked her to please take plates away. She responded by disappearing for 15 minutes. When she returned she asked certain people in our party to hand her their plate, rather than picking them up herself. She took those plates and disappeared again. She left plates sitting in front of person who asked her to remove plates in the first place. So that person asked her why she still has not taken her plates. Waitress responded by telling her to hand her the plates, to which she responded, "Should I take them to the kitchen for you?" She handed two plates to waitress, who took them and disappeared again. There were still two people in our party whose plates were left sitting in front of them. So our friend got up, found Manager, brought Manager to our table and explained to her the waitress deliberately leaving plates in front of certain members of our party, as a way to passive aggressively get back at them for something that was not their fault to begin with. Manager seemed very confused as well as concerned as she picked up the remaining plates and took them to kitchen. Friend was dissatisfied because Manager did not apologize. This waitress will keep having problems with customers because her unresolved issues manifest themselves by preventing her from performing the job she signed up for. As far as the food goes, Amish pierogies were delicious. Nashville Hot Chicken was not Nashville Hot. Chicken was somewhat spicy, but it was not Nashville Hot. Cole Slaw had too much dressing and was too sweet. Someone in our party ordered Fajitas, which we could hear sizzling as cast iron skillet was brought to our table. The outside is beautifully decorated like an old 40-50s nightclub, inside is warm and inviting with antique tin ceilings and beautiful sports memorabilia plenty of TV screens for sports events and entertainment booths and seating are comfortable elegantly set up with a vintage look. Now we were immediately greeted by our waitress, Tammy, at the door and she was the best! Very kind , courteous, and above and beyond service. Refills without even asking. We ordered the "Big Pretzel " it was freshly hand rolled with Flat tire beer cheddar dip, let me tell you it was huge and the best pretzel we ever had. The crab and cheese pretzel was delicious and there wings!!!!, No mater what flavor, are amazing!!!!! We also ordered these fantastic fried mac&cheese balls. In addition we ordered the Italian salads that were great, large portions with gourmet Italian meats. Everything was Awesome!!! We are going back tonight to pick up more Big Pretzels to take home to New York. And the best part is it's the only place near Hershey park that's open late, they close at 12 am. Wife and i had been to the Harrisburg location twice before, and were elated to here there was an aroogas basically around the corner from our hotel (inn at chocolate way). So away we went for dinner our 1st night. And it's just as good as we remember. Had the sampler and a chicken sammy along w a few beers. Food came out fast as hell, bartender was great. My family and I called this restaurant at 9:10 and they said it was half an hour wait. We drove ten minutes to the restaurant and put our name in. The restaurant informed me the wait would only be half an hour. This shorter wait was the reason I chose this establishment over another similar one. We checked in with the extremely sarcastic server twice and were told several times it would be another ten minutes. The place was not even half filled, and even short staffed the staff appeared to be more interested in socializing then completing orders. My family and I ended up waiting for an hour and a half until we finally decided to just go through a drive through. If you value your time at all or appreciate honesty I would strongly recommend skipping this particular grille. If you're a masochist though by all means enjoy wasting a night. read more

We (3 of us) arrived 15 min late to join them, and as my son (12 yts old) was pulling a chair to join them, the hostess snatched the chair from up under him, saying that there was a reservation from where he pulled the chair from. Understood, but the action was unnecessary. We were offered to sit by ourselves in a section across the restaurant from the team, even though there was room to accommodate us at the table with our group. Love this place! The crab pretzel is amazing and all the vegetarian items are a much try! Best veg wings ever made. And the burgers are sooo good they even have a donut burger(super good) we stop here and the local dinner because they are the best. If you can drink they also have great garbage cans! I used to love Aroogas, used to. Something has changed and not for the better. No matter how I get my wings they are always either over cooked or under cooked. The service is always lacking. This last time I had to ask another server to get our server so we could pay and leave. It had been 20 mins of sitting there with empty plates in front of us before we finally got the check. I understand breaks and all, as I have worked in a restaurant in the past, but you never just leave your table. I thought maybe it was just one store, I was wrong. I have tried 2 different ones and the exact same things have happened. It's quite frustrating when this used to be my "go to" wing spot. I have yet to find anyone who has wings like the old Aroogas did. I miss that and hope it comes back again!!! read more
