I'm surprised to see the overall rating on this isn't higher. I find it to be a pretty reliable late-night option for food as I'm passing through town. The bartender, Jillian, is pleasant and helpful, and the food is decent. Not gourmet. But better than I'd expect from most places at those hours. I generally get the tomato basil soup and some kind of salad. The salad options are good, really. I sit at the bar, and the degree of socialness of people varies a bit, but overall I'd say people are friendly. So, as a late-night person, I look forward to it on trips when I'm not quite ready to sleep as other places close. read more

Food is good, but a little in the loud side. Good place to have a group of friends who like sports. There are plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sport. read more

Coworkers and I were in town for a conference and chose this place because it's open later than 9pm. It's a basic sports bar, good list of bar food and drinks. They have some deals, like $4 shots of tequila, fireball, and jager. I had potato skins and thought they were good! Our server was attentive and took good care of us. They had a ton of tvs and I liked that they played sound for the Thursday night football game. read more

Arooga's - Chicken Wings Near Me - Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

The food wasn't bad. I was there with 2 other people and the waitress forgot to put my order in which was annoying because it was only a party of 3 people. Took a little while to get our drinks from the bar also. I do like the ambience inside of the old jute box feel. But overall it was an ok experience. I don't think I would visit this location again though. read more

Great food! Simple but good service! Nice clean restaurant! Food was delicious! I wouldn't charge $2 to cover the tator tots! Seems like a giant diss to the your customers! You put the same amount of sauce on your wings, if you are going to do so if should be said at the time of ordering! That there is up charge, no matter if it is on the menu! read more

Very fast, food was ok, staff polite, reasonable prices, what else can you ask for? The pizza was just kind of, pizza

You know what? I am SO sick and tired of paying an arm and a leg for the smallest amount of food. Needed a quick place to stop on our way to a concert figured wings and potato skins wouldn't be bad. $10 for 4 POTATO SKINS. That's literally 2 single potatoes and not even large potatoes. These were small to medium at best. 2 freaking potatoes cut in half for $10. We got 10 wings for $15 and asked for two flavors. They didn't bother to seperate the flavors so our sweet chili Thai mixed and blended with mild wings. Couldn't even discern each flavor. Additionally I asked for ranch and celery and they gave us 4 small celery sticks wrapped in a piece of paper for 10 wings. This is the equivalent of a SINGULAR stalk of celery. For these two things and nothing else we paid $30 which is ABSURD for the amount of food we received. I'm so sick of these places taking advantage with their crap food. Do better. Time to eat at home. read more

Ordered the Ham and Cheese boli. Was almost ALL cheese. Virtually no ham. The perogies and sliced pickles were decent. Nothing to get excited for. read more

Wonderful waitress, was very kind and punt. The food was great! I recommend getting the pretzel for an appetizer. Super soft and warm! And the wings were also a highlight. I ended up getting the mild. Burger was okay and the cheddar broccoli soup. Wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special. Overall, nice experience! read more

This menu has everything you would like in a sports bar. It was 3 of us and we all ordered wings. I will have to say they do let you mix your sauces and the wings are wet. The sauces are good. We also go the big pretzel... omg yup they are big!!! Although the pretzels needed more flavor. The service was ok... could of been better. I felt like we wanted forever for a drink refill. The ambience is def a sports bar: TVs, bar, sports stuff. It was cool for what it is. read more

The many times I've been here, the crab pretzels and the mozzarella triangles have always been a favorite for me. The setting and outside of the building itself reminds me of simpler times (well before my time at least, but it is still a pleasant atmosphere) read more

Apps were amazing, however, the medium burger was well done and the fried chicken sandwich was very dry. Service was very good. I would try again, every place deserves a second chance. read more

Took 20 plus minutes to order at the door for takeout. I got the food with drumsticks (ordered all flats), got Parmesan cheese(it's dried, not "fresh shaved" like the menu says), sweet potatoe fries are sub par, ordered extra celery, and no carrots, got 5 small celery sticks with 4 carrot sticks...the draft beer was good.‍ read more

I placed an online order for delivery but when I updated something on the website right before I hit complete order, it changed it from delivery to takeout. I called to cancel my order because I was unable to drive in and pick my order up. the first person I talked to claimed that she wasn't able to even cancel my order, but then she offered to get her manager for me. I explained to the manager, Heather, what happened and she offered to cancel the order or she could drive it out to me herself. I was blown away that she was willing to do that. Will definitely be ordering my again from this aroogas. Heather went above and beyond and I appreciate it greatly!!! Thank you Heather. You are amazing. read more

This is your average family restaurant. Very similar to a Fridays or Applebees. The food was good. Service was quick because the place was empty. I would say try other places first. Sort of a family restaurant/sports bar vibe. read more

Our party of eight enjoyed meal for the most part. It was AFTER we were done eating that the trouble started. Waitress left plates on table while we sat having drinks after meal, so someone in our party finally asked her to please take plates away. She responded by disappearing for 15 minutes. When she returned she asked certain people in our party to hand her their plate, rather than picking them up herself. She took those plates and disappeared again. She left plates sitting in front of person who asked her to remove plates in the first place. So that person asked her why she still has not taken her plates. Waitress responded by telling her to hand her the plates, to which she responded, "Should I take them to the kitchen for you?" She handed two plates to waitress, who took them and disappeared again. There were still two people in our party whose plates were left sitting in front of them. So our friend got up, found Manager, brought Manager to our table and explained to her the waitress deliberately leaving plates in front of certain members of our party, as a way to passive aggressively get back at them for something that was not their fault to begin with. Manager seemed very confused as well as concerned as she picked up the remaining plates and took them to kitchen. Friend was dissatisfied because Manager did not apologize. This waitress will keep having problems with customers because her unresolved issues manifest themselves by preventing her from performing the job she signed up for. As far as the food goes, Amish pierogies were delicious. Nashville Hot Chicken was not Nashville Hot. Chicken was somewhat spicy, but it was not Nashville Hot. Cole Slaw had too much dressing and was too sweet. Someone in our party ordered Fajitas, which we could hear sizzling as cast iron skillet was brought to our table. There was no rice, but plenty bell peppers and onions. read more

The outside is beautifully decorated like an old 40-50s nightclub, inside is warm and inviting with antique tin ceilings and beautiful sports memorabilia plenty of TV screens for sports events and entertainment booths and seating are comfortable elegantly set up with a vintage look. Now we were immediately greeted by our waitress, Tammy, at the door and she was the best! Very kind , courteous, and above and beyond service. Refills without even asking. We ordered the "Big Pretzel " it was freshly hand rolled with Flat tire beer cheddar dip, let me tell you it was huge and the best pretzel we ever had. The crab and cheese pretzel was delicious and there wings!!!!, No mater what flavor, are amazing!!!!! We also ordered these fantastic fried mac&cheese balls. In addition we ordered the Italian salads that were great, large portions with gourmet Italian meats. Everything was Awesome!!! We are going back tonight to pick up more Big Pretzels to take home to New York. And the best part is it's the only place near Hershey park that's open late, they close at 12 am. That was great after a long day at the Hershey amusement parks. Love love love this place. read more

Extremely slow and the bar staff are typically very rude and ignorant. Other staff will often ignore you as well.

Awesome time watching the NFL at the bar. A few tvs are half dark, but they were very accommodating to put on the game we wanted to watch. Wife and i had been to the Harrisburg location twice before, and were elated to here there was an aroogas basically around the corner from our hotel (inn at chocolate way). So away we went for dinner our 1st night. And it's just as good as we remember. Had the sampler and a chicken sammy along w a few beers. Food came out fast as hell, bartender was great. A million tvs everywhere and good daily specials. Will be back again, and am sure we will love the experience again. We love us some Aroogas!! read more

My family and I called this restaurant at 9:10 and they said it was half an hour wait. We drove ten minutes to the restaurant and put our name in. The restaurant informed me the wait would only be half an hour. This shorter wait was the reason I chose this establishment over another similar one. We checked in with the extremely sarcastic server twice and were told several times it would be another ten minutes. The place was not even half filled, and even short staffed the staff appeared to be more interested in socializing then completing orders. My family and I ended up waiting for an hour and a half until we finally decided to just go through a drive through. If you value your time at all or appreciate honesty I would strongly recommend skipping this particular grille. If you're a masochist though by all means enjoy wasting a night. read more

Rude Hostess: My son's baseball team (20+ people) in between games, went to this restaurant. We (3 of us) arrived 15 min late to join them, and as my son (12 yts old) was pulling a chair to join them, the hostess snatched the chair from up under him, saying that there was a reservation from where he pulled the chair from. Understood, but the action was unnecessary. We were offered to sit by ourselves in a section across the restaurant from the team, even though there was room to accommodate us at the table with our group. We suggested a few options and was told no, because everyone had already ordered. Unless the staff changes, I wouldn't recommend. read more

So, it's a sports bar, and they have a lot of screens. That's the good part. The food was mixed. The wings were not good, despite their awards. They were actually pretty soft, and I've had better most other places. The chowder was pretty good. The fish and chips were pretty good, though a bit greasy, and the fries were not crispy. I had to ask for more ice in my tea twice, since the tea was not cold. So, great place to watch the game, but the food is meh. read more

If you like red decor, then This is your place to be. Red might have been the favorite color of the owner? Red neon lights, red fans, red walls, red signs... you get the pic. The atmosphere is fun. My softball team was in town for a tournament and we all stayed at a nearby hotel. We had a team dinner with approx 40 people - and the service was fantastic! Food was really good too, and I don't think anybody in the entire party had any issues with their orders which is surprising for such a large group. The servers worked together to make sure everybody had drinks and refills and the dinner went off without a hitch. Kudos. read more

Had a great time catching up with an old friend! I'm vegetarian and they had plenty of options and even a plant-based menu. The wait was 45 minutes but they are very understaffed, so it is definitely understandable. Thanks to Arooga's and Amanda for the great service! :) read more
