Service was great. Gabriella, our server, was patient with us as we had a large party. She was efficient and friendly. Seth, the General Manager, was very welcoming and even stopped to talk with us for a few minutes at our table. We are from NY but were visiting the area and this is by far the best experience we've had at Applebee's. The food was very good as well. read more

When I tell you how infuriated I am. I am currently 5 months pregnant. My friend and I were absolutely starving and ordered 2 entrees and an app of nachos and spinach and artichoke dip. We were eating the nachos until we realized we were eating MOLDY MONTHS OLD NACHOS. For this disgusting restaurant to stoop down to this level where they can't even provide us with fresh chips is absolutely DISGUSTING. If I get food positing I will be coming for this place. Pieces of dog shit I'm LIVID , how dare you. read more

In Hummelstown on Wednesday and stopped by for lunch. Applebee's is the same as other Applebees. Nothing special. Food was ok. Our server was Jen and she was very nice. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip, quesadilla burger, bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries. Drinks - ginger ale which turned out to be a Starry & strawberry lemonade The strawberry lemonade had a medicinal taste to it and Jen recommended getting it without the strawberry syrup. She was right. read more

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, KEITH After being at Hershey Park for 10 hours with 4 kids, you can imagine how exhausted we were when we arrived at the restaurant at 10:00 ... hungry! The bartender was both friendly and helpful - and then to our rescue, Keith jumped into ensure our food was delivered as quickly as possible. It seems as if good service is fading fast, but not at this Applebees! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be eating here... and will also try and enjoy the mean at a slower pace. read more

Ordered this meal via a third party delivery service. Order was accurate and tasty. I was pleased with the portion sizes and value of the meal. I would order from this location again. read more

Wife and I went to Hummelstown Applebee's Saturday. Got seated immediately. Service was great. I had a chicken and shrimp dish that was very good. Alot of taste. Shrimp were small but tasty. Wife had riblets that she said were ok. We had onion rings as an app. They were ok . Here is the part we didn't understand. They served bbq sauce with the onion rings. Is that normal for Applebee's to do that. We found it strange. All our food was hot and pretty good. Can anyone shed some light on the bbq with Onion rings thing. Just seems strange. read more

It's been years since we ate at Applebees, so we weren't sure what to expect. It was Friday night at about 6:00, so we expected a line, and lots of noise. We were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away. It was quieter than we expected too. Actually, at our age, quiet and uncrowded are unexpected pleasures! Another pleasure - very unexpected - was the tab. We each ordered entrees and sodas, and we split a dessert, and it came out to just $42! Plus tip, of course! As for the food, my wife had the southwest chicken bowl (a bit spicier than she was expecting), and I ordered half a rack of ribs, which were loaded with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce. You'll need lots of napkins!! For dessert we ordered the Cinnabon Mini Swirls - basically tiny warm cinnamon rolls rolled in a pile of sugar and cinnamon with a side of the Cinnabon frosting. SO yummy! SO messy! Apparently they're meant to be eaten with your fingers, so you'll need a supply of napkins for that too! Overall, an excellent value! We'll be coming back. read more

Applebee's is what you expect it to be. We usually go in and sit at the bar because 1) the bar is less busy during lunch, and 2) the bartender is super friendly! Our last visit we just ordered the chips and queso (less than $6) and the special drinks for the month. Our app came out pretty quickly, due to the dining room being packed). Once our food came out, We talked it up with the bartender while watching college football and snacking. It was nothing special, but it wasn't terrible either. We typically enjoy coming here, even though we don't order meals (we had 2 bad experiences prior that included meals ordered). read more

The food was terrible. The service was also very very awful. I got a burger and the patty was still half frozen and was half raw. My bacon was very sticky and cold. The seats were ripped and very hard to sit on. The waitress spit in my food and told me to F off. The place is just horrible. Never go here again. read more

Tried to order online, but wouldn't allow. So, husband met us there (kids and I) because we were out of town and staying at a nearby hotel. Kids shared a 2 for 25 and up. Husband and I both ordered featured more bacon burger. Everyone was only able to eat half- and everything was delicious. Now we have a meal in the hotel fridge! Perfect! read more

Good help is hard to find . All of the meals at are group were poorly prepared. If they were made the way intended it would of been good. Burt overcooked and even wondering if it was cheese or meat. The bartender Friday 9/9/22 was great . She was honest. And made no excuses for the kitchen. I will return here. Hopefully I have the same bartender if i sit at the bar. Service was good. Food prep was poor. read more

We ordered several drinks (two double shots of Grey Goose, a huge 40 oz Long Island iced tea, and a Corona) which cost surprisingly only $32. This is thanks to the happy hour specials. I was very impressed with the quality of drinks, the friendliness and attentiveness of the bartender (Kayla), and the overall upbeat and lively atmosphere that made dining in enjoyable. The bar nearly packed when we arrived but we were able to find two adjacent bar stool seats. we were greeted right away, given menus, recommended beverages, served quickly, and given fast and attentive service. read more

I sat at the bar to grab a bite and a drink before meeting up with friends. The bartender asks for my ID and this is the exchange: Bartender Steve: Can I see your ID please? Me: Sure! *hands him the ID* Him: Ohh organ donor? Me: Yep Him: What'd they take? I hear it's the brain first. Me: Nothing yet! read more

It has been a while since I visit Applebee. I didn't have good experience before in other locations, mainly with food quality. However, this time Applebee of Mae st changes my mind. It was quiet on Wednesday night, we walked in and got seated right away. Start with fresh pretzels, it was so warm and delicious dippling in cheese or mustard sauce. My main entree was sirloin steak and it was great. I will come back for more. My head cant stop thinking about those pretzels. Lol read more

if i could give this 0 stars i would. The service was terrible... waited over 40 minutes to get seated when there were plenty of open tables. We went for the unlimited wings and got to only eat 1 plate. Not even 3 wings down the waiter was asking if we wanted boxes. On top of that the wings were so dry and we left with stomachaches. My girlfriend ordered the steak and alfredo. The steak was dry and hard as a rock. The alfredo had no sauce and the brocoli was raw.... I don't recommend. HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED. WON'T RETURN read more

This Applebees is awful .. The staff is inexperienced and not suited for their respective jobs from the bartenders to the Host and Hostess. First, we were told there was a 20-minute wait but walked out after 45 minutes when no table became available. Many tables were empty. The hostess told us that they were short on kitchen help and we'd just have to wait. I'm fine with that explanation itself but the way she communicated it was hostile. The bartender ignored us for a good 10 minutes (the bar was not crowded) before I had to overtly flag her down. She then acted like she was doing us a favor by serving us. I believe that the staff were not trained for their jobs read more

The food was good and cooked the way I asked. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was a busy night and there was a wait but that was expected. And I never had to ask for a refill on my ice tea! Which is a big thing for me. Great job all around. read more

Horrible dining experience there today. I went over for lunch, there weren't many people. Took 40 mins for them to make my burger and it was overcooked. I specifically ask for medium and no pickles, but it came almost burned and with pickles. Waitress drop my bread on the table, instead being me a new one, she picked it up. And put it back on my plate!!! Also the knife was dirty in their "clean" bag. Food crumbs on the knife. Don't go, just find another local restaurant. Not worth. Wasted of my time read more

This visit was terrible. I had a dirty plate, food was cold, server seemed annoyed and the white hairs were all over the plate. Not worth my time complaining. Will never return to this restaurant. read more

I hadn't eaten at an Applebees in years. We decided to go. I was trying to watch my calories so I ordered the grilled chicken with broccoli. My chicken was a little dry. The broccoli was good though. My husband had the quesadilla burger and he loved it. Wish I had taken pictures. Instead of a bun it was in a tortilla. read more

Service absolutely terrible, ordered all u can eat boneless wings had to ask for the fries and slaw that came with it. We were never asked if we wanted more wings it was all u can eat. Funny because the wait time listed here on Yelp says 5 minutes, but we were told it would be over an hour before they could seat our party. The restaurant only had a few customers (we walked around) and several employees were hanging around with the hostess up front. The hostess loudly complained that she should have called out sick. It's 8:30 on a Wednesday night. We will not be attempting a return visit. And a side note: we may be the only family leaving a review but three other families were told the same thing and left. read more

Customer service at the bar is disgusting. we sat down at the bar waited 5 minutes for service then bartender working (September 26 2:34 Pm) threw the menus at us and walked away. No hello can I help nothing. Just walked away with her ugly angry face. Very unhappy life. You don't like your job do something else. I spoke to the manager. I hope they take care of this because customer service is very important if you want to retain customers. Love Applebee's but this unhappy girl with awful customer service skills should not be working with the public. I don't care how miserable your day has been. What about my day? Ruined. read more

Food is OK, wait staff is good. Management has classic "can't do" attitude. They gladly turn away business or discourage paying customers if the group is too large. I only give 4 stars and it is ONLY because of the bartende, Shonta W. We are from SC. She was fantastic. Shonta was doing it all while her manager,Megan, was too busy following the hostess around like a lap dog. The food was wrong. My burger came out still Mooing, and the same with my husband's steak. Shonta was waiting on tables, cleaning them off, taking care of the bar and guidinag and directing to help the other few young staff. read more

We attempted to eat dinner on the way to a concert at the Giant Center. Upon entering, we were eventually acknowledged by the hostess. Despite having what appeared to be 80% of the tables open, we were rudely told that it would be over a 30 minute wait. I asked why when there were plenty of tables open and was told that they were short staffed and was then asked "Do you want to wait or not?" Being short staffed happens, especially lately. However, attitude is a choice. If that's the impression they're making at the front door, then I wouldn't trust them serving us something to eat. I really try to be understanding, but the rudeness displayed was ridiculous. I would have waited for a half hour as we had the time, but not after being treated that way. read more
