There are so many better food options in the area but I haven't had one of their sandwiches in years so thought I'd give it a try. I've only ever been to the original in Pittsburgh and really enjoyed that sandwich. This location has a full bar. I was able to find street parking rather quickly but I can see that being an issue during a more busy time. I received a friendly greeting from the hostess when I arrived. The server was really nice as well but didn't check on me at all after delivering my food. My iced tea ran out and the sandwich was dry. She did apologize after noticing, which I appreciated. I ordered the turkey and cheese and substituted Swiss cheese. The bread was so fresh and soft. I believe it's made in house. On its own there isn't any flavor but the thick cut holds up to the sandwich. The roasted turkey was delicious. I really didn't taste the cheese so could definitely be skipped to save calories lol. The coleslaw was really good and helped balance the flavors of the sandwich. It was vinegar based and was the perfect amount. The fries were lacking. They were really good but I was wanting more. The sandwich was dry. No type of condiment. The coleslaw definitely helped. If I had a drink refill it may have been better. And I didn't realize until after I was finished that you can add a whole kosher pickle. I'm usually against upselling but I wish I knew that. It's on the menu but I missed it. Wednesday, August 12- lunch I rarely, if ever, write negative reviews, and I would have much preferred to handle this situation privately with a manager. Unfortunately, because I was not given the opportunity to do so, I feel I have no alternative but to share our experience. We decided to give Primanti Bros. in Hershey a try for lunch today, but unfortunately, we never even made it to ordering. From the moment we walked in, the young blonde hostess was unwelcoming and incredibly short with us. There was no greeting. She asked if we needed children's menus, and when I said we needed two, her response was simply that she only had one. There was no offer to get another one or even a friendly acknowledgment. We asked to sit outside, and she took us to a table in the direct sun, put the menus down, and walked away without saying anything. We asked if we could sit at another table that was outside but shaded. We were told no because it hadn't been wiped off yet and was dirty. Rather than offering to have it cleaned, she pointed us toward another table and walked away. Throughout the interaction, she was short, rolled her eyes, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. At that point, we decided to leave. What was even more disappointing was what happened when I called immediately afterward. I specifically asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address the situation directly rather than post a negative review. The same hostess apparently answered the phone and refused to put me through to a manager unless I first told her what the call was about. When I said I preferred to discuss the matter directly with the manager, she asked, "Are you the one who just walked out of here that I was trying to seat?" She told me the manager, April, would not be available for at least an hour, but continued to insist that I could not speak with her unless I first explained the situation to the hostess. We are local and had decided to give Primanti Bros. a try, but after this experience, we won't be returning. We ended up going across the street to The Grill instead, which was wonderful. What is most frustrating is that this entire situation could have been handled with a little kindness and basic customer service. And even after the poor experience, I was willing to address it privately and give management an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, I wasn't given that opportunity. A hostess is often the first impression of a restaurant, and unfortunately, ours was bad enough that we chose to walk out before we ever ordered. I genuinely hope management sees this review and uses it as an opportunity to address how guests are welcomed and how concerns are handled. read more

We came to Hersey Pennsylvania to see a hockey game (GO STARS). Stopped in to Primanti Bros to watch the UT vs OU game first. We were seated right away and faced three TVs. The atmosphere was nice. They opened the windows which was beautiful! The waitress was nice. She was very attentive and never left us hanging. The food was a 6/10. We got fried pickles - not pickally enough but overall good. I got the turkey and cheese sandwich and my husband got the NY sandwich. The bread was soft but not the appropriate bread for these sandwiches. My wife ordered the turkey original style sandwich and although I didn't get to try it it must have been great because she actually finished it. I ordered a burger, and Lady Matilda dared to order "The Capone" (capicola, salami, hot sausage, melted provolone cheese, sweet-and-sour coleslaw, fresh-cut fries, ripe tomatoes and our house recipe Italian bread) with the thought that she'd have something to eat after the show later on. Prices were extremely reasonable, and they had a great selection of craft beers, many of them local to the area and the state. Pieces of salad were wilted and slimy, with black specks of the least fresh parts scattered around the main salad. My salad also came with fries, which were cold. My partner also had a meal that came with fries, which were also cold. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere to drink beer and watch the game this place is fine, however I wouldn't recommend eating. Even though my meal was bad, the way that the service handled everything was great.
