This cafe is connected to the Hershey Story Museum & also contains the Chocolate Lab for the museum (where you can pour chocolate & create your own designs). The cafe closes early at 2 pm so plan your nearby activities accordingly if you wish to come here. My sister ordered a hot latte & she got me a honey lavender iced latte. We both agreed this was the best coffee we have ever tasted. Neither one of us purchased any meals or pastries, therefore I'm unable to express my opinion on the matter. The baristas were nice & efficient.

Second time visiting this establishment while training for the Army at Fort Indiantown Gap. Dinner with the family (wife and two kids, 8 &5) on first visit was phenomenal. The second time didn't disappoint. Enjoyed the Reuben with a classmate who also ordered the Rueben. Taking home the Regular (Huge) Stromboli and Boston Creme Pie (second time I snagged the last one). Prices are reasonable and staff is always friendly. Glad my wife found this place!

Absolutely amazing food and service! The waitresses are wonderful! Clean bathrooms, amazing coffee, calming music and the best reuben sandwich i've ever had! If you love supporting small local businesses please check this place out!!

Special: Fresh salmon, Cajun style, with broccolini. Not very spicy, but *perfectly* cooked and delicious.

After traveling from Buffalo with the family to visit Herschey, and eating nothing but chain restaurant food for a day and a half, I was desperate for REAL food. This definitely fit the bill. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff members who seemed happy to be working here, seated immediately, and served quickly. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and really sweet to my kids. The cafe is small and intimate inside, very nice but casual and inviting to a couple of bedraggled and sunburned parents with two overexcited children. Our meals were all fantastic - refresh salmon, barbecue chicken with a Caesar salad, kids french bread pizza, and homestyle kids' mac and cheese. We cleaned our plates. As the restaurant was a little past closing with only a couple of other patrons remaining, we didn't stay for dessert, but I was a little sad about that when I saw dessert being served to the next table. It looked great! Please give this charming and authentic little cafe a try, you won't regret it. My only regret is that we're leaving town before they open in the morning!

I feel like I've been to 99% of the restaurants in Hummelstown, Hershey, Palmyra... but for whatever reason had never come here. Super glad that changed last night! Big portions. Onion rings were tasty, the garlic bread was yummy and came with both marinara and alfredo sauce to dip it in, and the quesadilla was surprisingly delicious. We definitely ordered too much food, so by the time the calzone came out we were already full, and brought 95% of it home to the kids. Enjoyed it so much, that we ordered takeout for lunch today. Turkey & Ham with fries was all very tasty, and huge! Will definitely be back!

We passed Lisa's Cafe on a Saturday we were thrifting in the area. By looking at the full parking lot at breakfast we were certain we'd want to hit them up on our way back through. It was about 11:30 when we stopped for lunch, although we were really craving breakfast. While I was disappointed to learn breakfast isn't available all day (darn!) we were promptly greeted and seated. The hostess was very friendly and although a little cluttered (in a good way) the whole vibe was very homey. Our server was equally friendly and patient with us as we struggled to make our lunch selections. Ultimately hubby had a burger and I a Rachel. Both were cooked well and of large portion size. I was craving a little more crunch from the homemade slaw on my sandwich but it wasn't bad. I also had a side of their Italian pasta salad which contained raw broccoli. I, personally would have preferred zucchini in lieu of the broccoli but it was still very good. We shared a piece of their homemade peanut butter pie for dessert. It was huge and the perfect size for sharing. Did I mention it was delicious/!? Overall we were very happy and full when we left and thought this place had alot of charm and was exceptionally clean. At check out we were given a token for spending $20 which is their form of loyalty. Refer to the picture for loyalty perks. They also have a discount for ordering online. Lisa's Cafe is a little gem and we'd love to hit them up for breakfast sometime if we're ever in the area again. 4 stars because this is the kind of place that is screaming to have breakfast served all day; at least on weekends. The slaw was a bit on the runny side, and I thought broccoli in pasta salad wasn't the best choice. Also because if you add meat to a salad the price is high for a salad, but overall a fan!

There were lots of choices on the menu and Chuck guided us through our choices and was so helpful. Cocktails were exceptional. The charcuterie board we had to start our dinner was wonderful. It was so fresh and the cheese, meats, honey, etc. were so tasty. It was a nice large board of yummy food. Wings were very good with their sauces. We all had various steaks with some of us adding a crabcake to the plate. The steaks were cooked perfectly and all of them arrived at the same time! Crabcakes were as good as the steaks. Most of us had the glazed carrots and Boursin mashed potatoes as our sides. They were so delicious and freshly prepared. Compliments to the chef! Best carrots and mashed potatoes I have ever had. It was really upscale eating in a cozy, comfy environment that wasn't pretentious. Our waiter refreshed our water and delivered second drinks quickly. Chuck was humorous and very knowledgeable and attentive. Most of us have leftovers to enjoy. We were so full that we had one dessert to share. Lava cake with ice cream, and it was vanilla with caramel which was so delicious and different. The manager came upstairs to make sure everything was ok and chatted about the place and answered questions we had about where the fresh food was sourced. The place has a very casual, come-as-you-are bar-and-kitchen vibe, which fits the area well. Nothing felt overly polished or fancy, and that is not a criticism. It seemed like the kind of local spot where people can just show up, relax, and get a solid meal. The problem was the service on this visit. We showed up right around the breakfast-to-lunch transition and thought we had made it in time for breakfast, but apparently not. We got seated pretty quickly, which made it seem like things were moving along, but then we sat there for about 20 minutes with water glasses and no water, and really no meaningful attention at all. By the time someone finally came over with the water, we were already done and decided to head somewhere else down the street. It was also getting fairly loud while we were sitting there, and the staff seemed tired or stretched thin, so I would not be surprised if we caught the place at a bad moment, maybe during a shift change or just an awkward transition between breakfast and lunch. The restaurant was busy, which usually says something good, and the food we saw going to other tables looked pretty solid. That is why I landed on 3 out of 5. This was not a bad experience in the usual sense. It was more of a non-experience. We never got far enough to judge the food, and I do not think it would be fair to hammer the place over one oddly timed visit. But sitting that long without even getting water was enough for us to leave.

There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!

We didn't make any special reservations for this particular visit, but decided to go in on a whim around 7:30 p.m. After a short wait for a table, the hostess, waitress, and manager had asked me if we had a problem during our last visit, which was back in February. To be honest, I hardly ever have any sort of problems when it comes to this place, but I found it quite odd that that was the big question of the evening. Our food was prepared accordingly, and honestly tasted heavenly! My only beef is the portion size of the meals. It seems that because of economic twists and turns, some establishments are cutting back on loading up people's plates with fries and sides. I think my platter had a total of 15 French fries, and the size of my 6 ounce sirloin was 30% fatty, especially in the middle of the steak. I left the last piece on the fork for the staff. My kids complained that they're Jr. Ranger meals were, in a word, measly. Had I known that, I would have ordered a bigger portion for each of them. We went down the street to Dairy Queen for dessert.
