Antipasto Salad
Jamie M.

We ate at Fenicci's after we tried Escape Room Hershey. We were sat near the bar on a Sunday evening, with lots of alcohol fueled football fans. The environment wasn't ideal for a family dinner, I'll say, but it ended up being okay. The food and service were okay, not great, but perfectly fine for our purposes. We started out with wings and mozzarella sticks as appetizers. The cheese sticks were really stretchy and melt. The wings were solid. The kiddos had baked penne, and I had an antipasti salad, which was packed with meat but a little too salty for my liking. The kids enjoyed their entrees, but we over ordered and had to take home boxes. Oops. Anyway, Fenicci's was just fine for a Sunday evening quick meal. But I would not go out of my way to return.

When we arrived in Harrisburg/Hershey, I asked the lady at the hotel front desk about places to eat in the area. She said Fenicci's was the best. While taking the Hershey Trolley Tour, they spoke highly of Hershey's famous Fenicci's. That was enough for us to give it a try. We were able to make reservations very easily on Fenicci's website. We did a booth in the Lounge by the bar. Very comfortable booth. For starters, we had the Garlic Bread with melted provolone cheese & the Crispy Calamari. Both were outstanding! My daughters split a Pepperoni Pizza while my wife shared the Crab Tortellini with a Caesar salad. All 3 were amazing. Service was great. Food was amazing. Very cool spot that the locals rave about. Very easy to see why.

I was thoroughly surprised at the quality of food at Fenicci's! I was brought to town with a buddy in hopes of finding a nice pizza joint. Not only did Fenicci's supply was with two PHENOMENAL pies - we opened with their famous meatballs that were not only priced great, but tasted even better! The upside down pie is so unique and SO good. Very crispy crust and terrific cupped pepperoni - I left Hershey, PA missing this! Traditional pepperoni was nice, too, though I'd definitely recommend the upside down pie for someone feeling spontaneous. Nice, clean dining room with prompt service. Left us Hershey kisses after paying our bill. I will definitely be back next time I drive through PA.

Ambience: 2/5 The vibes here are mid. Does not feel like an Italian restaurant in the slightest. On a positive note, it's at an excellent location. Food: 1/5 Strike One. The ricotta skillet came out cold. I had to send it back, and I'm pretty sure they just reheated the same cheese. When hot, it was quite tasty but they gave us about 8 croutons to dip it in. This is definition of Shrinkflation. Strike Two. The upside-down pizza, which Fenicci's claims is one of their signature dishes, is supposed to go bread, cheese, then marinara sauce on top. Mine came out with no sauce at all. Crust was good. Strike Three. The clam pasta came with twelve shells but only six actual clams. It was average at best. Service: 0/5 Water and drinks took 30 minutes, salads took another 30, appetizer cold, forgot to put sauce on their signature pizza. Overall: 0 out of 5 stars. Do not recommend.

I came to Fenicci's late while on a work trip to Hershey. We were very hungry and at 10:30 on a Tuesday night, it was open with only a small handful of other places. We had a mix of spaghetti, cheese dip, tomatoes, and I had the Veal Parmesan Hoagie. Everyone was friendly and service was efficient. The food was all pretty good. The atmosphere was an old school Italian feel. I would not say that it was fancy and felt fine dressed casually as we had just gotten in to Hershey.

Service: Our waiter was very attention and offered his recommendations. We were stuck between the pizza or veal parm. Food: We walked in during the late night food menu. This consisted of appetizers, all of the salads, everything on the back of the menu, which was like the Strombolis, pizzas. And a separate menu, which had a few pastas listed. The majority of the food was just average. Stromboli came out undercooked. Needed more time in oven but I appreciate that it's made to order. The Italian wedding soup was something else, though. I enjoyed two cups by myself.

Location is the only positive. Food has zero flavor. The place smells of vomit. Service blows. My food sucked.

It tasted better than anything i've ever had in New Jersey! The service was also incredible, it was fast, attentive and friendly! Our server was Bree (not sure how it's spelled) she is so sweet and was able to make us laugh the whole time! Also don't even get me started on the ambiance, the string lights, the fire place, this place was honestly amazing. We went here twice for breakfast some of the things we got were biscuits and gravy, which was a 10/10, s'mores cinnamon roll 10/10, mimosa flight 10/10, breakfast burrito 10/10. The hashbrowns were also the perfect amount of crispy every time and lastly their pumpkin spice lattes were amazing! The service was amazing and honestly people that complained about the wait, atleast it was worth the wait. Thank you so much for the awesome experience i hope to come back soon!!

The plate had tender, smoky brisket burnt ends mixed with scrambled eggs, melted cheddar, BBQ sauce and crispy onions, all over a generous portion of hash browns, with toast on the side. The combination of the smoky brisket, creamy eggs, melted cheese and crunchy fried onions gave every bite something different. The burnt ends were definitely the star of the plate, and the portion was large enough that you won't leave hungry. The Pumpkin Spice Latte was a great match for the breakfast. It had espresso, pumpkin spice and milk, topped with pumpkin cold foam and whipped cream. The cold foam really made this one stand out. Instead of being just another overly sweet pumpkin drink, you get that creamy pumpkin flavor

Tröegs is a cornerstone of the Hershey area and well known around here. The lineup covers their standards alongside newer, more experimental beers and ciders, so if you're there to drink, you'll find plenty of variety. The space is large, with seating inside and out, meeting rooms, and events throughout the year. They offer tours, and the gift shop sells merchandise along with their beer to take home. It's a good place to spend an afternoon, whether you take the tour or settle in and people-watch. Tourists come through, but it still feels like a very large neighborhood spot, and everyone is friendly. If you're waiting on a seasonal release like their Mexican lager, check the gift shop. In my experience, new releases show up there before they reach local grocery stores, so it's a good place to get them first, or at least to find out they're out. The food is decent, but set your expectations accordingly. Think upscale bar food, like brisket sandwiches, rather than a full restaurant menu. I haven't eaten there often, because I'm usually stopping through or heading to an event for a beer or two before moving on. The one real drawback is noise. When it's busy, it's very loud, but that's what you'd expect from a big warehouse space with concrete floors and hard standing tables. Parking is plentiful, with a huge lot next to the building. On warm-weather weekends and at other peak times, expect to walk a bit. The lot is long, stretches well away from the entrance, and feels like several lots stitched together. Other than the noise, I don't have anything negative to say. It's well worth a visit.

Ask…read moreabout Nathan, the server we had, and that 5-star food gets dragged straight down to a 2-star overall experience. We eat in the Hershey area constantly and are spoiled by the genuinely phenomenal service you get at Hershey Entertainment restaurants. Nathan wasn't just below that bar -- he was the worst server we've ever had, anywhere, full stop. Rude. Unprofessional. Completely incompetent. Somehow all three at once. We'd been looking forward to trying this newer Hershey spot, and Nathan singlehandedly torched the whole experience. First, the wait: over an hour for our food, on a slow Sunday evening with a half-empty dining room. Not a busy kitchen slammed on a Saturday night -- a quiet Sunday. There is no version of that wait that's defensible. Then the mistakes started stacking up, one after another. We'd told the restaurant at the time of our reservation that two people in our party had birthdays that week, specifically because this place advertises chocolate-covered strawberries for birthday guests -- it's part of why we chose it. Nathan never mentioned it, never brought it, never acknowledged it. Just dropped, like it never happened. We asked three separate times for boxes to take our leftovers home. Three times. For boxes. One of our burgers was supposed to come with chips -- it didn't, and Nathan never so much as offered to fix it. Then the carrot sticks. We asked for a side of carrot sticks for one of our kids, and Nathan told us they don't carry those -- despite having just delivered wings to our own table with a side of carrot sticks sitting right there on the plate. Instead of correcting himself, he brought fries instead and charged us for them, on top of the side that should have been included with the meal. So not only did he lie about not having what we asked for, he swapped in something else without telling us and billed us extra for it. That's the one thing we bothered flagging for the manager -- we simply didn't have the bandwidth left to fight every other failure after an hour-plus with exhausted kids who needed to get to bed. The manager, to her credit, moved fast: she got the carrot sticks out right away and pulled the fries off our bill. But that was the last we saw of her. No follow-up, no check-in to see if anything else needed fixing, nothing. She solved the one problem we raised and then disappeared, while every other issue -- the strawberries, the boxes, the missing chips -- just sat there unresolved. The food is genuinely excellent, and that makes this harder, not easier. A meal this good deserved a server who could handle the basics, and a birthday celebration deserved better than an hour of forgotten requests, invented shortages, and a surprise upcharge on food that was never supposed to cost extra. My wife's willing to give the restaurant another shot. I'm far less convinced -- and if we do go back, it won't be with Nathan.
