    Bianco pizza

Stopped in for lunch with family and friends. Staff was friendly, service was good. Restaurant was clean and pleasant. Menu was full of options. We ordered a bianco pizza which was fantastic. My son had a Cesar salad and a small margherrita pizza which he proclaimed was "awesome". Our friends had gnocchi, chicken wings, and spaghetti, which all looked amazing. Portions are generous! Prices were great too. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner.

It's has goid flavor. But I'm not sure it's worth lighting up wood for. A little greasy and the dough favor bland. I wouldn't fire that oven up for nothing less thar a 14-inch pie. It's not Neapolitan. It's like the traditional pizza smaller with a little crisper crust. 6.9

I went with a large group this past weekend. We arrived shortly after they opened and were greeted & sat immediately. I didn't catch the waitresses name but she was wonderful. Very nice and attentive to our party of 13. I tried to get pictures of a few dishes from our party since most of us selected different options. I got the tortellini which was delicious, just a little too saucy & slightly saltier for my preference. The dinners include a side salad & garlic bread which were both good. Overall, we all enjoyed our meals and felt the portions were very generous. This was my first time but I will be coming back to explore other options on the menu, definitely recommend giving them a try.

I was visiting family in the area and every time we visit we always go to Sopranos, It has been a staple of ours for years. We have not been here in the last three years or so due to living across the country and Covid. Staff: The staff are always very attentive and friendly. Food: Best house dressing (for salad)!!! I ordered the Sinatra ( used to be Rigatoni Sinatra) and did not enjoy it. This has been my favorite meal from here for years and was so excited to order it but I am not sure if the recipe changed or perhaps it's a different cook from years before but it tasted very different. I missed having rigatoni (it was not an option), the chicken did not taste good and the sauce was different. I was really bummed but the others meals at our table were good. I still may come back when I visit but I'd order something different next time. **Thank you Angelo for your reply. I have updated my review to 4 stars because while I did not enjoy my meal this time, I have always enjoyed the food there and the other food at our table was delicious.

    Sicilian pizza

Really disappointed in their Sicilian pizza. Crust and sauce were flavorless. There was no seasoning at all. Very skimpy on the cheese. The pepperoni and bacon were both raw and the onions and green peppers were in huge chunks, which made it very difficult to eat and it cost $32!!! Would not recommend.

Everything that I've had here has been very good. The portions are sizable and quite generous given the prices charged.

When I brought them pizza, it was always from their old fave. But since I have to drive 30 minutes, the pizza was always tepid by the time we ate. They are not ones to embrace change but today was going to be the day. Palermos's had great ratings and was only 3 miles from them. I ordered directly on the website - they advertise that it's cheaper that way - they're absolutely right. Waze bushwhacked me there and back - traffic was horrendous with families trying to get into the park. Even though I ordered with a specific pick up time, I still had a short wait. I people watched as they came in and out buying individual slices. And the pizza here? Whoa! Amazing! My new fave! I ordered a large Sicilian with mushrooms, onions and pepperoni and a side of fried zucchini. The pizza was absolutely loaded with toppings. I ordered it baked well expecting the crusty burnt cheese on the sides. There was none of that but I would definitely order it that way again. The pizza had 12 large square slices. I struggled to eat 1 1/2 slices. I think I'll order it cut into 16 slices next time. The zucchini was meh at best. It's probably not fair this far east, but I rate all fried zucchini to Pittsburgh style zucchini. This was not it. I wouldn't waste my time on it again. I can't even remember the last time I've had Sicilian pizza this good. I don't know when I'll be back in the area but next time I'm definitely ordering pizza from Palermo's.

The place has a very casual, come-as-you-are bar-and-kitchen vibe, which fits the area well. Nothing felt overly polished or fancy, and that is not a criticism. It seemed like the kind of local spot where people can just show up, relax, and get a solid meal. The problem was the service on this visit. We showed up right around the breakfast-to-lunch transition and thought we had made it in time for breakfast, but apparently not. We got seated pretty quickly, which made it seem like things were moving along, but then we sat there for about 20 minutes with water glasses and no water, and really no meaningful attention at all. By the time someone finally came over with the water, we were already done and decided to head somewhere else down the street. It was also getting fairly loud while we were sitting there, and the staff seemed tired or stretched thin, so I would not be surprised if we caught the place at a bad moment, maybe during a shift change or just an awkward transition between breakfast and lunch. The restaurant was busy, which usually says something good, and the food we saw going to other tables looked pretty solid. That is why I landed on 3 out of 5. This was not a bad experience in the usual sense. It was more of a non-experience. We never got far enough to judge the food, and I do not think it would be fair to hammer the place over one oddly timed visit. But sitting that long without even getting water was enough for us to leave.

The menu immediately caught my eye with its local flair, and it did not disappoint. They happened to be hosting trivia night, which was such a fun surprise and gave the place great energy. There are two of these in the area, we weren't quite sure which one to hit, so we opted for the one closer to our hotel in Hershey. We arrived just as they were opening at 11:00 am for lunch. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender and the server. They were the only two working up front, but it was fine; our entire time there, only one other table came in (this was on a Friday). The inside was nice, and we were seated by a fire. The only gripe I have is that the chairs seemed to be the wrong size/height for the tables. But other than that, the place looked good. My wife ordered a beer flight with an assortment of sours and a wheat. I went for the Annville IPA Bold Cask. It was a really, really good beer. Smooth, fully-bodied, and with a good amount of hops. Plus, it's 9.8%, so if you ask me, that's a great way to start off a lunch! The beer flight was decent, but more my wife's thing. Now onto the food. There were a lot of great choices, and we were starving, so of course, everything looked good. We always order for our six-year-old first so they can eat while we relax. We ordered him the hot dog and tots. For our apps, we ordered the Tator Tot Nachos: house cheese sauce, fresh pico, scallions, jalapenos, cilantro lime sour cream, and chicken. And also the smoked wings with hot sauce. I'm always a fan of tator tots, maybe it's because I never had them as a kid, or they really are that good. But these were perfect on a cold day in central PA when you're hungry. The right amount of salt on the tots, crispy exterior and creamy inside, plus the toppings (I love fresh jalapeño). The wings were okay, but this was to be expected. They're smoked, and as much as I love smoked food, you never get the skin crispy (especially on wings). They had a slight smoke flavor and a good sauce, but I'm a "well done" wing guy, so these I would pass on next time. By the time we were going to order lunch, my wife realized she was already full, and we still had a decent amount of food left. So she just picked at the appetizers. I was getting there myself, but I wanted to try a burger. I ordered the Pub Burger: 8 oz, Cooper Sharp, red pepper-bacon jam, dill pickle aioli, lettuce, brioche, and fries (because who can resist more fried potatoes). It came out perfectly medium rare as I ordered and seasoned well. I was apprehensive about the red pepper-bacon jam; I'm not a fan of sweet, but in this case, it worked. It was a great burger (although I only ate a quarter of it). The service was good, and she was very personable and polite. But one thing that was strange. She was on the phone almost the entire time we were there with whom she said was the owner (or maybe a manager). We heard her discussing the reservations and large parties coming in. This was a long call, and while I know there wasn't a lot going on in the restaurant, we felt at times we needed something, and she was busy talking. I'm not blaming her; if it were the owner or manager, they should certainly know better and keep it short. But when she was there, she was great. All in all, a great recommendation from a friend that we are happy we stopped to try. We will be back again, maybe sooner than our annual trip to Hershey!
