By the time we were finally done, most restaurants were already closed. We called this restaurant close to 10 PM, and from the moment the hostess answered the phone, we were treated with such kindness and genuine hospitality. We arrived around 10 PM, and not once did we feel like we were an inconvenience or that anyone was trying to rush us out the door. Quite the opposite. From the hostess, to Chef Suli, to our waitress, everyone was absolutely amazing. They were warm, personal, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed us even more was the food. Even though it was late, nothing felt rushed. The food was prepared with care, and the food was absolutely amazing! You have to order the Babe's wings, the crab stuffed pretzel, and brisket sandwich with the homemade potato chips everything was delicious ! We live 2 hours away and aren't able to come often, but this experience was so memorable that next year it will definitely be on our must-visit list. A huge thank you to Chef Suli, our waitress, the hostess, and the entire team for taking such great care of us. You turned the end of a very long day into such a wonderful experience. Being from Central PA, my husband and I grew up on bologna sandwiches. When we learned we are just a 30 min drive from the outlet, we jumped in the car and drove right there! It's easy to miss as the storefront blends in with the neighbor hood. Just look for that familiar Seltzer's face logo and you'll find it! There was a fundraiser going on with a local radio station and grilled bologna sandwiches for sale outside. We enjoyed a sandwich then went in to an old timey style mom and pop shop full of t-shirt and other apparel, cups, souvenirs, and every style of bologna you could imagine for sale. They've expanded their flavors to 5 now, not just original and sweet. There's Chipotle, Double Sweet smoked, and a honey smoked flavor with free samples to try! They offer bologna bites, unique bologna jerky, bulk items and discounted misshaped slices. One of my favorites is the Dutch grillers, thick cut slices perfect for grilling and their "smoked coffee" has such a unique smoky taste I love. (No it doesn't taste like bologna but has a nice smoky aroma) They also partner and stock products from local small business which I appreciate. Every time you go in you find something new! There's also a mini museum of how they got started, their impact on PA government and history. A copy of their episode of dirty jobs plays in the background and gives a look into how the sausage is made so to speak. Overall a great place to stop if you're in the Hershey/Lebanon area, want to sample some local culture and cuisine and learn about the central PA area.

Brisket Burnt End Scramble -- 9/10…read more This was a seriously loaded breakfast. The plate had tender, smoky brisket burnt ends mixed with scrambled eggs, melted cheddar, BBQ sauce and crispy onions, all over a generous portion of hash browns, with toast on the side. The combination of the smoky brisket, creamy eggs, melted cheese and crunchy fried onions gave every bite something different. The burnt ends were definitely the star of the plate, and the portion was large enough that you won't leave hungry. The Pumpkin Spice Latte was a great match for the breakfast. It had espresso, pumpkin spice and milk, topped with pumpkin cold foam and whipped cream. The cold foam really made this one stand out. Instead of being just another overly sweet pumpkin drink, you get that creamy pumpkin flavor

Unfortunately, we weren't seated until 11:32, making the actual wait closer to 45 minutes. Our server was friendly, and since we'd had plenty of time to look over the menu while waiting, we were able to order right away. Unfortunately, it then took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. We're not sure where the delay occurred--whether it was the kitchen, staffing, or something else--but between waiting for a table and then waiting for our food, the entire process felt excessively long. The good news is that the food itself was really good. My husband ordered the burnt ends egg dish, and I had the praline pancakes, which were excellent. We also ordered sausage as a side, and that was great as well. We had no complaints about the quality of the food. Would we come back? Maybe. If we did, we would probably try to arrive before 8 a.m. or after the main breakfast rush. The restaurant is fairly small, and based on our experience, it seemed to struggle with getting guests seated and served efficiently during a busy period. Plenty of busy breakfast restaurants and diners manage to turn tables and get food out quickly, so I think The Hershey Pantry could really benefit from looking at its service and kitchen workflow during peak hours. The food is good enough to warrant another visit, but waiting nearly 45 minutes for a table followed by another 40 minutes for food makes it difficult to recommend visiting during their busiest times.

But this time, after I…read moregot done sunbathing to get some natural vitamin D on this beautiful bronze skin, I decided to pull right around the corner from beautiful Reservoir Park to Sorrento's--one of the oldest pizza shops within Harrisburg city limits. As you can tell, I did ask for my pizza well-done, and I challenge you to do the same! If you do, make sure you eat it with a fork and a knife--I swear it does something magical. It was made perfectly this time, and I didn't even feel tired after eating it. And of course, it's all about the crust. What was the best part? The cheese on top was still melty and savory, yet that crust had a perfect crunch that transported me right back to the heart of Brooklyn, New York. The pizza was so good I almost thought it came from a stone oven. But my Ninja Turtle senses started kicking in, and I had to dash out of the restaurant with my large pie in hand to eat it on the way back home, where I could enjoy it right beneath the city of Harrisburg. Also, regarding the Italian sub: I normally don't eat meat, but here in Central PA, having an Italian sub alongside plain Middleswarth chips usually does something special for me. Well, this time it wasn't really worth it. The sub just sat heavy on my stomach and didn't give me the energy I need to fight crime through the night. However, the bread was really good! So if you ask me whether I'd try the Italian sub again, probably not--I'll just stick to the pie. There is plenty of parking for this establishment, the bathrooms are clean, and there's plenty of seating just in case you want to bring a party of five or more!
