I've eaten here several times and each time the service is extremely attentive. My favorite salad is the fruit and nut with grilled chicken. The garlic bread wedge adds a nice buttery garlicky snap to offset the crispy fresh salad that is garnished with tart cherries, and nutty walnuts. Today we sat in the outer seating area. It was comfortable temperature despite the cold chilling rain. This is one of my favorite places to order a salad to go. I know I'll be back for more! read more

Excellent!!! We were ordering out for work and I was initially skeptical looking at the Yelp reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the portion of salmon, fresh greens and the toppings truly came together very well. They were fast to cook a large order with very many dietary restrictions and special needs. The salmon was grilled perfectly! Even the pita was delicious!! I have been going to the Pizza Grille for 15+ years and it is a family favorite. The food and service is always great. Unfortunately, I recently had a terrible experience with the hostess. Upon entering and asking to sit at a 5 person table as there were 5 people in my group, 4 adults and a one year old, the hostess stated we were unable to because the child does not count as a person and those tables are reserved for groups of 5. When clarifying that we are a party of 5, I was told the child doesn't count. Again attempting to explain that we are a party of 5 and expecting us to squeeze into a 4 seater wasn't appropriate. She stated "you can put the baby at the corner". With another attempt to state that's not appropriate to stick a child on a corner and the hostess becoming increasingly rude I finally stated that I would go else where. I've never been to a place that wasn't crowded with multiple open tables to accommodate 5 people to not be accommodating at all. It was such a disappointing experience and I will most likely not be back to this location due to the lack of accommodation and the rudeness of the hostess. read more

This was first visit to The Pizza Grill in Camp Hill and I found the atmosphere and food were above normal. My order was the Crab Cake sandwich, which comes with their house salad mixture, on the plate. The crabcake sandwich was very large. In fact so large that I separated it from the bun and lettuce and had a full meal just eating the crabcake. I did not like the salad that was included, one bite and done. I would've rather had french fries as the "standard no-additional charge item" with the sandwich. I came here for lunch and it was quite busy for a Monday afternoon. We ordered Gyro Pizza, Cobb Salad, and Caprese Salad. Even though the tables were full, we got our food pretty quick. I was impressed with their Caprese Salad, tomato tasted so fresh and the dressing was delicious. The Cobb Salad was huge and a bit underseasoned i think. My partner and I stopped here for lunch as he was craving fresh pizza and I felt a bit "meh" about it. I was feeling pasta more than anything. We showed up around 1pm and almost turned around. The parking lot was packed! However once we found a spot and made it inside we were immediately sat. Our server was incredibly attentive and polite. My partner for the five cheese pizza and I got the butternut squash ravioli. It's been ages since I've had decent ravioli so I wasn't expecting too much. I was blown away at how rich and creamy the filling was. Burnt bacon, and I mean charred and solid like a rock. Soggy mess of a salad because they put it in with a hot sandwich. The bun was soggy and wet on the bottom and hard on top. 2) Butternut squash ravioli. So disgusting. The raviolis were dry and hard on the edges. Drenched in greasy butter, no sauce. Ate here yesterday with our very good friends for the first time, and it won't be the last! The restaurant is very nice, and very clean, our server was personable, and helpful. Both couples decided to share a Sicilian salad, my wife and I had the smoked mozzarella & mushrooms pizza, and our friends had the Greek pizza. Ordered online for takeout. When I arrived I spoke to the hostess who said I can pick up my food at the bar. This is 6:30 on a Friday night and the bar is packed. I ask the hostess again if she can grab my food as the bartenders are all busy and there was no place to even go to them to get my takeout that I already paid for. The hostess rolled her eyes at me and then eventually asked my name and went and got my order. There needs to be a dedicated pickup area for to go orders. Don't make the customers do the work. Make a dedicated employee handle the to go orders so that they are not stuck waiting for food they already paid for. Food was excellent quality, the pickup process was garbage and left me feeling frustrated. The lesson here is: Don't order takeout from this location. read more

I had a fantastic experience having dinner with a friend here tonight! We nearly shut the place down. The restaurant is a decent size and appeared to be quite busy. Even with the restaurant at what appeared to be full capacity, we were still able to be seated immediately. We dined outside on the covered patio and I noticed a garage door like feature that could be activated to cover the patio in inclement weather. I ordered a sprite, water, and a caesar salad with steak. My friend opted for a diet coke, water, the flat iron steak salad as an entree, chips and salsa as an appetizer, and a peanut butter pie for dessert. The salsa had a nice kick at the end without being overly spicy and the chips were crunchy and nicely salted. My steak was cooked to my liking and the salad came with an in-house scratch-made dressing. I did have a bite of my friends peanut butter pie and that was enough to convince me to order two slices to go- one for myself and another for my husband! The total for my meal was a little over $40, while my friend's meal came to close to $70 before a tip. It's worth noting that she also ordered a separate meal to take home to her partner. I was super pleased with my meal and the customer service and I intend to return with my husband very soon. read more

As a VERY frequent customer, I was completely surprised a week or so ago. A male 'manager' told me that I was holding up a high top table in the bar area. What!?! I ordered a full dinner, 2 mixed drinks and was just finishing up, when he chose to comment, loudly, 'About time, people are waiting!' Well, I guess I wore out my welcome. I didn't know that I was on a timer after spending and tipping well over $50. Hmmm. You may want to provide this employee additional customer service training. Next time, I will hesitate to patronize your restaurant and maybe go elsewhere. read more

When I visit my family, this is one of our Mom's favorite places to go. She has passed and to honor her one more time, we had a family dinner there on 8/19. Normally, they do not take reservations for Friday nights, they made an exception since we had a party of 10. The manager, who's name I was NEVER given on Wednesday when I called, made this exception. The young lady who answered the phone is 16 did all the explaining to this no name manager. Now on the day of our dinner, the no name manager, is so sloppy dressed takes our ticket, slams it on our table and says the server is upset over the tip. There was never NEVER nothing on the ticket, menu or explained that an 18% gratuity would be added to the ticket. We had planned on leaving money on the table for our average server. I went to talk privately to the no name manager, dressed in a t-shirt that was too small, belly hanging over his pants (yes you could see it) and flour all over him. He had an attitude, he explained that held this table for 2 hours before we got there (NO REASON FOR THAT), he said about the server's tip, I explained what we were going to do but were NEVER given the chance since he came yelling at my brother. I explained that a real manager would have called my brother aside and talked privately NOT yelled and embarrassed everyone at the table. I love your restaurant but after this exchange with the NO NAME manager with an attitude, I doubt it. read more

This was a 2nd choice spot. We would have rather gone to Marzoni's. Food was good but not great in my opinion. My husband loved his made to order pizza. I thought it tasted like Digiorno. I got the capillini primavera and it desperately needed some flavor even the parmesan cheese I added didn't help. The peanut butter cheesecake didn't taste like cheesecake. It was light and delicious; the best thing to come from our meal. Split it with a friend or loved one. Nicole's our server. She was great. You should ask for her. She made the recommendation on the PB cake when I really wanted regular cheesecake & I wasn't disappointed. She was also honest. She made an error, owned up to it, and apologized. Yelp should offer negative stars. We are new to the area and was refferred to the Pizza Grille and let me make this clear, WE WILL NEVER COME BACK! The place was busy so we decided to sit at the bar just for a regular to arrive and pulled on every chair at the bar as they walked by. The bar staff waited on this regular when we had been sitting there for over ten minutes before they even walked in. Next, it was rude and quite uncomfortable that every phone order has to pick up at the bar. So they come in, stand over you, reaching around when we were trying to eat. Whatever clown thinks this is appropriate should be fired. And Finally, the food, well if we wanted processed food from Sam's Club then we would not have went out to eat. The baked Meatball sub, ANY Subway would have been better then this soggy roll that was toasted on the top and still cold on the bottom from being frozen. My wifes burger was also the same as the Sam's club frozen patties and her roll was so stale that it just crumbled apart. And the pizza, lets just say, ANY frozen pizza would have been better. Not to mention the slimy thing they called a salad. This was absolutely the worst place that we have eaten in years and I travel the world for my job for over 20 years so 've seen a lot of very good and very bad places! Not to forget the nachos and salsa was right out of the bag and jar and again it was the same nachos and salsa that we purchased at Sam's club just 2 days prior. Giant grocery stores make their own nachos that are better and half the cost than what this pathetic excuse of a resteruant serves! And I almost forgot my beer, clean your damn taps. I have a kegerator at home and it is easy to tell when you don't clean your taps. Not to mention how "flat" the beer tasted! The biggest waste of money and time that we have ever came upon. This is not pizza. This is cardboard with toppings and cheese to mask it. I grew up in NJ. There were real Italian pizzerias fighting for my business. Here, good pizza is few and far between. This restaurant is far from good. The inside has tables that look like they stole them from someone's patio. They are uncomfortable. First come first serve and 6 pm on a Friday/ Saturday it's packed so come at 5 if you can. This is one of the few establishments on the west shore with a liquor license - and the drinks are stroooong. Lemon drop cocktail was excellent. I requested to keep it light on sweetness and I'd say it was perfectly executed. My future sister in law always gets a Long Island iced tea. She loves them here. Also the drinks are $8 to $9 each...totally affordable. I've tried quite a bit of the menu and the pizzas (as could be expected) are the best. The meatballs are also really tasty. If you really want to indulge get a side of ranch for dipping! The restaurant is kid friendly! We bring all of the kids here (3 and under) and they can be a handful, but the restaurant embraces it. In the last week I have been here 2 times! Once was happy with a friend and on Valentine's Day with my manager for lunch. -happy hour! It was friendly and clean. The staff was helpful! Rude bar waiter and mediocre food. My wife and I recently moved here from the West Coast, so we are always looking for new restaurant. I suggested The Pizza Grill instead of our normal place. I ordered an appetizer and a pizza for take out and am told to go to the bar to pick it up in 15 minutes. When I go to the bar to pick up the food, I walk up to the bar. A waitress smiles politely and a man walk up and looks at me, points, and says very rudely, "there's a line!" and just points. I look and say ok, kinda shocked at how rude and brusque the waiter is. I walk to where he pointed and wait. He approaches a little later and asks for my name I provide it. He comes back in a bit and says my order, I say yes. I also tell him he was rude during our first interaction. He just looks at me and says there is a line. I tell him there are better ways to tell someone that than to just be rude and brusque, especially since I have never been there before and was told to go to the bar. He looks away and runs to the back and says there was a line. When he comes back he repeats the order. I say yes. Then, he says a price, like he is confirming what was said on the phone, I say yes. He repeats the price again, and again I say yes. He rudely replies did you pay? I say no, you never asked and grab my card to pay. After paying, I leave, hoping the food is good, because the service, while quick, is rude and terrible. I go home to eat with my wife and the food... well, it was not worth it. While not the worst pizza and meatballs I have eaten, the pizza was completely bland. Like eating cardboard. The meatballs, well, they were undercooked and salty. They also came with 2 slices of stale pizza crust. Normally when we have sub-par food, we give the place a second chance. But this time, bad food and a rude asshole for a server... nope.
