Well, it's just another day out here. Doing Uber during the lunch hour feels like being Batman trying to save everyone from hunger, just without wearing a mask! I went to pick up an order at a pizzeria, and if you look at my reviews, you know I love pizza. My kids love pizza, pizza loves us, and all the pizza places know who I am. Today, I found myself over at Cedarcliff Pizza in New Cumberland. I asked for my slices well-done. Although they didn't come out quite as crisp as I usually like, the lady behind the counter was super nice and asked how much longer she should cook them for. I told her about five extra minutes. The pizza looked amazing. I knew it was a great spot because I saw a deal in the window: two slices and a drink for $6, which is unbeatable, especially during lunch. As soon as I walked through the door, I was blasted by the aroma of pure Italian sauces and herbs--I couldn't have been more delighted! I must say, it is definitely a good slice of pizza. I can tell the cheese is fresh, the sauce is balanced, and there's still a little bit of flour on the bottom of the crust (which I love). Went in to try the new Real Italian Hoagie. It was really good, Liscios seeded roll, sharp provolone, Capicola, salami, and prosciutto. Had a slice as well and that was crispy and had a nice garlic flavor to the sauce. Inside had seating and staff were all polite. read more

Three stars for now because it has been pretty average on 3 tries. The pizza is good, the buffalo chicken wrap was OK, and the cheesesteak was too greasy and had flavors of other foods that were cooking on the grill at the same time. No bacon grease, please! The staff has been both friendly and indifferent at times. The one girl who was working lunch, had no idea if they had any specials and was a little standoffish. The other workers, fine. Inside is a little noisy with the loud TV and skill games. I'll be back for one more try because their specialty pierogi pizza sounds really good so I'll give it one more go. read more

I've been getting subs from Cedarcliff Pizza for a couple years now and they were always super good, even though, like everybody else, their subs went from $7 to $11. Got one yesterday and the roll seemed stale. It just wasn't as good as it usually is. And when I went into the restaurant, it looks positively filthy. There was stuff stacked everywhere on the tables and a half eaten meal sitting on a table, which was probably from the staff. And there's a door that they don't want you to use and they have all this random crap blocking it. It just looks incredibly untidy and then it makes you wonder how they run their kitchen? If their kitchen as filthy as the rest of the restaurant....I doubt I'll be back. read more

I needed to find a place to meet a friend on her way from York to Harrisburg. Cedar Cliff Pizza is just off 83, so we decided to give it a shot. We went in for a late lunch around 2 p.m. the place (as expected) wasn't very full, but the staff did seem very friendly with the regulars. I got the hot jumbo wings. I saw another photo on Yelp where someone received celery - no luck on that for me. The wings were good and saucy, which is very important to me! The place itself is pretty small and could use some updates. The booth we sat at had very beat up seats, but they got the job done. Prices were reasonable all around. They also have free WiFi which is a big plus! Overall, I'm not in a hurry to go back, but it was good enough for a decent price. read more

A frozen pizza is better than this place. The pizza has no flavor and is soupy. This is what it looked like when I got it. I will never go back here ever again. While the pizza here is pretty good, the service and delivery is terrible. On more than one occasion, it took about 90 minutes to get our food and the pizza was delivered cold. We have also had several instances where the delivery guy charged us more than we owed. We finally gave up on this place. It's just not worth the hassle. read more

Since they deleted my review on Facebook, I'll post it on here I placed an order yesterday night around 6:00. My order didn't get delivered till 8:42. All my food that was supposed to be hot was ice cold, as if it just came out of a refrigerator. My order of fries, fried pickles, and a platter of of chicken fingers and French fries. I also ordered an 8oz cup of cheese on the side. Got a 2oz cup instead. All the hot food was also soggy. I almost choked on plastic that was within my salad. The delivery driver was in the rush to leave. I definitely don't recommend ordering from this place if you prefer your food to be hot and up to standards. If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm sorry. I've liked this place in the past but I'm disgusted by their practices during this pandemic. No face masks for any employee, no gloves for any employee, there were at least 8 people in close quarters behind the counter, breathing on and touching everyone's food, like multiple people for one food item. Then they got my order completely wrong. People were allowed to eat in and no restrictions on the number of people who could just stand there and wait for their orders so there were 2 people eating at a table with 10 people standing around in close quarters. Stopped here on my way home from work on a Friday night. I was really frazzled and just wanted to bring home pizza to the kids. I had a coupon so that sweetened the deal. Except the coupon wouldn't work. I'm tired...make that exhausted...and I just want to get home. The gentleman behind the counter was so nice, even offering to write down the coupon numbers and call the company later. Small acts of kindness go really far in my book. Delivery driver tailgated my car the entire way to my house, then came tearing around me at 45mph (in a townhome development) to deliver a Pizza to neighbor's house. Kids live and play in this development. When I confronted him on his erratic driving he just got tough with me rather than just saying sorry. Even though we used to occasionally go here, I will not support a business that condones dangerous driving, especially in residential neighborhoods. Absolutely absurd. Just moved into a nearby neighborhood and thought I would try this well-established Camp Hill pizza joint. I loved the community feel to it as soon as I walked it with the high school sports wall and other features. Aside from that it was pretty run-of-the-mill pizza shop but the young man working the register was very pleasant. I had called my order ahead and arrived about 10 minutes after the call. I did proceed to wait approximately 30 additional minutes, which I think is excessive but I did learn that they had messed up my item of the order: made a veggie pizza instead of veggie boli and were remaking to correct the error. Food was really flavorful and tasty! I did use a Groupon, because otherwise I do feel like price would've been a little high. read more

This pizza seriously gives those frozen tony's pizza's a run for it's money, but unfortunately tony's wins. I was perplexed as to how a pizza could be both burnt and under cooked at the same time. Greasy under cooked dough on top, extremely crunchy bottom, burnt crust. This is literally the only pizza in the United States that can't be folded. If you do fold it, the toppings come flying out and cheese and grease oozes onto your hand and clothing. I have a lot of commentary regarding my experience at Cedar Cliff a few weeks ago, as well as some of the reviews currently posted here. I will not let the ridiculousness of the other reviews bias my rating, but I will rant a little bit at the end. Food: My wife and I were looking for a a place to get a good haddock sandwich a few Fridays back in March of 2015. I called around to a couple of local places, and settled on Cedar Cliff due to its proximity and selection. We ordered two haddock sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and tartar. The sandwiches came-out hot and fresh. The buns were soft and pillow-y. The vegetables (lettuce and tomatoes) were fresh, and the tartar was appropriately dressed on the sandwich. Honestly, I really liked the sandwich. My only gripe is that I am not a big fan of square, frozen haddock patties. When I want a haddock sandwich, I want the full filet, battered, and served in a hoagie roll -- not processed into a square patty and breaded with a bread-crumb like mixture. This, of course, is no fault of Cedar Cliff as their food vendor is who provides these frozen patties. Despite that, it was still a very good sandwich that hit the spot, even if it is not exactly what I wanted. One last thing to note, the fries that came with it were excellent. Again, frozen fries (most likely), but fried til they crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside. Food: 4 / 5 Service: The service was polite and prompt. The man who took our order, as well as the man who brought out our food was respectful and polite. That is all I ask for in service from establishments such as this, and appreciate it. Service: 4 / 5 Atmosphere: The inside of Cedar Cliff is a little bit dingy, but it seemed clean. With the exception of the leaking ceiling that dropped some rain droplets every 10-15 seconds, everything seemed passable. Again, cleanliness is important to me, and it seemed like they had this under control, despite the rather questionable state of the building. Atmosphere: 3 / 5 Price: For what I got, I feel like I paid an appropriate price. I got a good sandwich, for a average price. Price: 3 / 5 Final Thoughts: Personally, I would not come back for the haddock sandwich because my preference in haddock sandwiches differs from what they serve -- which is not a 'knock' on Cedar Cliff, as much as it is a commentary on my personal preference. If this style of haddock sandwich is what you like, then I would strongly suggest it. Regarding the other reviews of Cedar Cliff -- particularly the one where Melissa D. (an apparent owner / stakeholder) sent comments to Paul C. First, I respect a business owner who is out to see their business be successful, and is not afraid to call-out a reviewer on their reviews; but I have very little respect for an owner / stakeholder who pats / boosts their review score with their own reviews. The Melissa D. that identified herself to Paul C. is the same Melissa D. who has also posted multiple 5 star reviews to this Yelp page. For people who take Yelp'ing seriously, and actively try and rate restaurants objectively while informing the public, this is a disservice and an annoyance. At least have the smarts to create a separate user account and post anonymously... For that reason, I am rounding my 3.5 star review down to a three star review. Lastly, I may come back to Cedar Cliff to try it again, but it will be more out of convenience than desire because it is on my way home from work. read more

I was in Harrisburg for a few days and ordered a pizza here twice. I'm vegan, so that means no meat, cheese or anchovies. The test of a really good pizza joint is if they can take those requirements and still turn out an excellent pizza. That means everything -- sauce, crust, veggies, seasonings and cooking has to be just right, with quality ingredients. I can't say that about most pizza places I've tried. I dare anyone to order a pizza here with mushrooms, onions and NO cheese or meat, and tell me it's not still delicious. That's a great pizza! read more

We order frequently from Cedar Cliff Pizza. Normally for delivery... Pizza is good, subs are great and the grilled chicken salad is fantastic!! We've always had good food and fast service. I know my boyfriend has also gone in a few times to dine in/pick up as well. Service, again, is fast and pleasant. Based on my experience, I would certainly recommend to friends or family. REVISED 5/3: ordered last night for delivery at 9:20p. Was asked by the gentleman on the phone if I could 'make it worth his while' because they were asking him to leave because the fight was on (which is a ridiculous reason in itself).. We have never tipped the driver under $5 for delivery for one (I have been a restaurant manager for years and appreciate those in the service industry)... And two, what type of question is that? My friend left a bad review on their facebook page. And now the owner mark has somehow linked me to my friend and has been calling me and harassing me all morning. Food here is terrible and over priced. Pizza is doughy in parts. Subs are always soggy and drenched in oil and vinger even when you ask for no oil. Avoid if you can. Updated marc and his wife have now been continously calling and hanging up all hours of the night from a restricted number. Today he finally had the balls to speak. I travel to the area for work frequently. There are a handful of local delivery restaurants, and Cedar Cliff Pizza stands above the rest. Their Super Italian sub is awesome. Chrispy Chicken Bacon Cheddar salad, so good. Best tasting typo ever. Wow. Multiple times we have ordered food for delivery here and multiple times the order was wrong! This last time we called and they told us they would give us the correct pizza next time we ordered. When it was time to get the free pizza to make up for the mistake the previous time they had no records of it and would not honor the corrected pizza.
