I tried a Reuben & I have tried the French Dip. Both were the best I have ever eaten. The meat on both of them was very tender, full of flavor & piled sky high. The Potato salad & the Mac&cheese were both good also. I tried to call in my order so it would be ready for me to pick up & i got AI voice agent that messed up my order. I got ahold of a real person & I placed my order and she said the total was $31.47, then she asked me my Card Number & I told her I will pay Cash when I pick up my order. She said I must pay with a Card to place an order ahead of pick up. So I told her I will just come in and order my food, she then rang up my order in the Deli and quoted my total is $26.04. My food was ready for me in less than 10 minutes and I saved $5.43. I give them "5+'s", They will definitely have me as new customer.The only thing I would change would be to tell people to enter card number "before" they place an order & that the call in orders must be paid with a Card when Pr-Ordering for pick up. Not everyone pay with credit cards. PS: And also, the Employees were friendly, helpful, showed strong teamwork, good training, and a positive workplace. We decided to try mcAlisters recently, & for the first time myself. I got the Italian sandwich & I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor profile of this sandwich. A bit different (for me) from the usual italian sandwich but very good! I also like the amount of meat on the sandwich. I'd like to try other things here! read more

Food | Experience Pop by the McAlister's Deli in Camp Hill because somebody at my work got a sub that looked mighty scrumptious. It was a Friday night, probably around 6:30, and let me tell you: I think it was one of those occasions where my eyes were bigger than my stomach, or whatever that expression is. I ate too much. The food was good. Absolutely, positively no complaints about the food. In fact, I'd give the food four out of five stars. I think I just walked over the line a little bit, ate too much, and didn't feel particularly good after I left. So I can't give you the most scientific assessment of the food. I can just tell you that it was good. What I can speak to is my experience while I was there. It's Friday night, 6:30. There's one person working front of house, and it seems like there are a few people working in the back. They're separated in a way where they can't really intermingle--the only interaction is food getting handed through the window. When I get there, the woman working the front, bless her soul, seems like a super kind woman. She's brewing some tea while also waiting on customers, and apparently something goes wrong with the tea because it starts overflowing. Suddenly she's bouncing all over the place trying to clean this up while taking orders and dealing with customers. Meanwhile, there are a few workers back in the back of house, and nobody is really coming up to help her. And the dining room is basically empty. It's Friday night at 6:30, around when you'd think dinner rush would be starting. There are maybe two tables occupied in a dining room that could probably hold 20 or 30. That's not their fault. I understand that restaurants are dealing with a completely different dining environment these days. People are ordering DoorDash. People are eating at home. You don't need to hear my commentary on how I think restaurants should be run. I couldn't run a restaurant. But it did make me think: maybe we need to start making dining rooms smaller. Anyway. What I am going to speak to is staffing. I don't think there's any reason that, on a Friday night, there shouldn't be at least two people working the counter. Yes, I get it. It's slow. There were only a couple of people in the dining room. Maybe somebody was sick. Maybe there were circumstances I don't know about. There are always variables. But there's something kind of shitty about watching one front-of-house worker bounce around trying to keep everything together while nobody comes up to help her. You know what you signed up for when you franchise the fucking restaurant. You know what it takes to operate the place smoothly. And if that means two people need to be working the front, then staff it with two people. Because watching one woman juggle taking orders, making tea, cleaning up a mess, and trying to keep the whole place moving while she's clearly stressed out? That's cruelty. That's fucking cruelty. So, four stars for the food. Two stars for the experience. The food is good. If you're looking for a sub, I'd say go for it. But honestly? DoorDash it. You won't have to see this type of happenstance. You can sit at home, watch Austin Powers or Netflix, and have a DoorDash brody drop your sub off. Food: 4/5. Experience: 2/5. read more

A new Deli? Not really a new Sandwich Shop! I was hoping for a true Deli experience but even though they have some great tasting meats and sandwiches it falls short of a Deli! So since it was a first experience and just opened I expected some mistakes! I ordered the 12" ITALIAN - Black Forest Ham, Pepperoni, Provolone, Tri-Colored Peppers, Spring Mix, Tomato, Red Onion, Black Olives, OBV and Spicy Brown Mustard on Toasted Baguette. The baguette on the Italian seemed more like flat bread and the sandwich was loaded with the spring mix. There was plenty of meat and had great flavor. The wife ordered the RACHAEL Roasted Turkey, Sauerkraut, Swiss and Thousand Island on Marbled Rye. The sandwich was piled high with Turkey but lacked in Sauerkraut and 1000 Island Dressing. We ordered an extra side of 1000 Island Dressing but we didn't get it. Didn't find out till we got home! We weren't charged but it needed more dressing on the Sandwich . Research took the order was very friendly, polite and a great front person! The restaurant looked very clean and the counter area was very organized. Good but not impressive. read more

Very clean dining area. Our sandwiches (a New Yorker and a French Dip) were excellent in every way. The NewYorker was piled high with meats, & my wife's French Dip was nicely portioned. Our potato salad side dishes exceeded expectations. The young man (Neev Gajera) who checked on our satisfaction was both personable & polite. He was very welcoming. Offered to get us drink refills & help in any way. With his attitude and personality, McAllister's has an excellent employee in him. read more

I ordered a ("Choice of 2") bacon spud and cup of broccoli soup for $11. It was the perfect plain meal. I went mid-day and there were minimal other customers. Food came out timely. Everything looked tidy and clean, with a typical deli vibe. There are 5 permanent soups on the menu, which is a part of the lower rating - as my expectation of a deli includes the rotation of homemade soups. This place recently opened and will be closing soon. The wait is far too long for one sandwich and a drink. The sandwich was pitiful; one slice of tomato, mushy lettuce, a small dab of mayo at the end of the sandwich. The novelty had already worn off for the employees. No smiles as mentioned in other reviews and rather sour attitudes. Employees standing around the back of the counter complaining about scheduling instead of working to get out orders. Just picked up an order from McAlister's Deli in Camp Hill. The sandwiches were great and soooo big. The New Yorker will be 2 meals for me. The staff inside were very friendly with big smiles. Although we took our order home, the place looked clean. We will be back!! read more

I'll never understand a review that takes off points because a place isn't what the reviewer had hoped for when the food was good and fairly priced: 'I want rotating soups not the same 5 every day...,' I wanted this deli experience, but I got a different experience...' That's like saying 'I want this to be a taco shop but it is a deli, 1 star. The food is very good and the service was excellent. No stars off because they didn't make my sandwich the way my favorite place form when I was a kid made it and because it didn't come with the same chips that I 'really wished they had.' read more

Corporate needs to come to this location. Waiting close to an hour for essentially some deli sandwiches is disappointing. Employees don't seem to be hustling. Management may need to be changed to get things on track or this location may not survive. read more

We love McAlister's and we were so excited for this location to open.. but our first experience there was AWFUL. We chose to dine in while they were not busy at all. It took 15 mins to get an order of nachos and a kids meal. All of the food was cold when it got to our table. The service was horrible. The employees couldn't care any less about the customers. There were 4-5 people come in for pick up orders in the time that we were there and all of them had to ask multiple times what was taking so long because they were not busy and 3 of the employees were standing around talking. We are SO bummed. Save yourself the time and money and don't bother going to this location. read more

We love McAlisters, so when this opened local to us we were beyond excited. Our first pick up order had a salad with brown avocado and missing extra dressing. The Cuban sandwich was not pressed/grilled. We were disappointed but decided to give it a second try. Our deliver order was TRASH...the salad once again arrived with brown avocado and had the salad stem/core inside of it. The worst part was the Memphian sandwich which we ordered without mustard and the sandwich showed up uneatable....with no mayo, no veggies....nothing but bread meat and cheese. Also, no sides came with our food on both orders. I'm soo disappointed in the food and would not recommend this location. read more
