Always good, but always pricey. Always busy and usually quick with putting out the food orders. Don't be a fool and wait in line to order, use the kiosk or app for quicker service. For a Sunday afternoon on NYE, the bakery was fairly consistent and inventory was readily available. But the Camp Hill location has always been fairly solid for what I'd expect from Panera. Oddly enough, it was hard to find a clean table except over in the far end of the restaurant. That was a little concerning and I do wish cleaning was taken to high standards. I keep trying but I can't get excited about Panera food. I swear their food used to be better. Recently ate a chicken Caesar salad which runs just under $11. The salad greens were a little past their prime. The chicken had the consistency of chicken that has been pumped full of fluid to maintain "juicyness" and tenderness. Way too skimpy on the cheese. I removed the croutons (I don't like croutons) and what remained was pretty sad looking. The croutons fill up a lot of space. When the croutons are gone, it's just a bunch of lettuce with some chicken on top and a shake or two of cheese. The dressing was the best part of the meal. A cup of regular coffee runs almost $3 with tax. Know what really miffs me about Panera? The photos look nothing like what you actually get. At least not in my experience. I chose a large bowl of Turkey Chili and a Tuna sandwich. of course being handed a thing that lights up when food is ready. what I didn't expect is a plastic spoon with the Turkey Chili, knowing it is a hot item. sat down used the plastic spoon, it subsequently melted as soon as it touched the hot turkey chili. chil was put aside, then to consume the tuna sandwich. the bread was frozen, the tun tasted like wall paper paste, the onions were very discolored, the slice of tomato appeared to have brown spots. both went into the trash. it appears Panera Bread is a long way from what is advertised. read more

This location was in desperate need of a new GM when I visited in early March 2020. Their staff was not at all customer focused or customer friendly, and even how the employees talked with one another had a whiny, combative, argumentative tone to it- not something I want to be subjected to when dining out. Stopped at this Panera location for a bite to eat after a six hour car ride. I've been a Panera customer for years, and service and food has always been good. Sadly this location did not meet very basic expectations. The restaurant seemed dirty and unkempt. In the twenty five minutes spent waiting for food, I watched several employees walk over a dirty piece of silverware on the floor. It was still there when I left. Little bits of trash were also littering the floor. Service was ridiculously slow! There was absolutely no urgency by staff to complete orders in a timely manner. It took two staff members to check a single order for correctness. When I saw my order bag ready to be checked, the staff just left it there and decided to check and hand out all the to-go orders that had been placed after me! What?! And when I finally got my order, the staff left the utensils/side bag on the counter and missed an item from the order. On a plus, the food was good and the usual Panera standard. I was at the Camp Hill Panera Bread location and was surprised how many employees had nose rings. The girl at the register and two other food prep employees. Also, there was a girl who was putting pizza boxes together with no gloves on. Put the box together and then put a white insert inside with her bare hands. I've ordered bagels to go numerous times and many times they sneaked in a free cookie for me. I always order salads without nuts, half of the time when I get home, there are nuts on the salad even though on the order it specifically shows "no pecans". Once I even asked the person checking the order who confirmed that no pecans were on the salad, only to get home (15 minutes from the restaurant), to find that they were added. Last night is the second time I have tossed a salad because they put in the wrong dressing container. I don't know what dressing it was, but it certainly wasn't Fuji apple vinaigrette. I actually wish I could give less than one star. I've been here two times as I come into the area for appointments. the first time took a long time and the sandwich wasn't that good. But the second time was a even worse experience. First I called to try to place an order ahead of time so I could be on time for my appointment, I knew they were slow last time so I figured this would remedy that..... Nope, they put me on hold several times, until the point where I finally pulled into the parking lot and told them to forget it. I walk in and placed my order on a kiosk. One steak and arugula sandwich. 22 minutes later. Yup TWENTY TWO minutes later and I finally got my sandwich. Luckily I checked when I got into my car because it not only was not the right sandwich, but it was a watery sloppy mess- something with apples on it. I took it back in, asked to speak to the manager, and he said he would remake the sandwich himself. I was fully accepting of this, and totally didn't even mind. But to top it all off when I got back in my car and checked the steak and arugula sandwich I noticed it was made on (sorry but nasty) wheat bread, had no picked onions (arguably my favorite part) and minimal spreads that are usually plentiful. Checked in again in this location on 3/23/2016. Despite the previous visit's glitch with this location's Rapid Pick-up, I used Rapid Pick-up again to place my order. Everyone should get a second chance, shouldn't they? This time it was lunch order placed online at 12:09pm. I chose "You pick 2" and selected Low fat vegetarian soup and a Chicken Frontega Panini. I selected the time of pick up as default option of 10 minutes after check-out. I reached the location at 12:25pm, went straight to the pick up shelf, and.....my order was missing! There were 3 other orders on the shelf. Thankfully, I had the print-out of my order. Took it to the counter and the girl went and got hold of the manager. Both of them went to the shelf.....of course, they did not find my order. Then the manager went to the place where they prepare the food. My food was ready....just that no one had the time to put the label on it and put it on the Rapid pick-up shelf. Good job people!! It again took me longer than expected in the store and the purpose of placing an online order was lost. Nothing wrong with the food, it was tasty and made like Panera quality. But the total experience was not a good one. The manager of this location (if you are reading this review!) needs to get her house in order. And because this is second time, that I've had this experience, I'm reducing my review from 3 to 2 stars. read more

I feel like Panera's serving sizes have decreased ever so slightly of late. Still, the quality is the same, which is good if you know what you're expecting. There is always a great variety of fresh options to choose from, which is also a good thing. One thing: a Cuban is ham, roast pork, swiss cheese, dill pickles, and mustard. It is not: ham, grilled chicken, swiss, sweet pickles, and your own special sauce. Kind of odd. I can accept calling it a chicken Cuban, that's cool if you want to mess with the recipe, but there's only so much you can mess with before i changes the original to beyond what it once was. Seriously... like calling sugary liqueurs in a triangular glass a '-tini.' Anyway... the food is usually quite delicious and the ingredients are fresh. The staff is mostly very friendly and inviting.
