Today was the first time trying this place. I walked in and said that it was my first time eating and ordering here and the girl behind the counter said that it was like any other place. I thought that was odd but whatever. I ordered a sandwich and Mac salad. I was not asked if it was dine in or take out but she was really irritated that I asked to take out. Each answer was a smart ass remark and the checkout process was no different. I wasn't exactly sure how or where to pay and she said again that it was like any other place. I told her that I thought her attitude sucked and was unsure why she was giving an attitude and smart ass answers. I asked to speak to the manager and she didn't seem too interested in apologizing for her. I called back a while later and explained the experience again and she still seemed to give zero interest in any apology for her employee's poor attitude. The turkey sandwich wasn't bad but thought it was dry. It wasn't as dry with cranberry sauce and stuffing even though some of the stuffing was hard. If you want a really bad experience and really mediocre food, dine here. read more

Their sandwiches and soups are amazing. You can't go wrong with a buy one, get one free deal on soups. We brought lunch for everyone, and everyone was thrilled. The prices and portion sizes of the sandwiches are also hard to beat, especially compared to the chain restaurants. The food quality and service are unmatched, it's a great spot! read more

Ordered a Hot Turkey sandwich....i may be worng, but 16 dollars for a single thin slice of turkey. Yes 1 thin slice. Absolutely the worst food i have ever eaten. read more

Turkey was tough and dry! I thought for a turkey place would be much better. Server actually looked into the container and took out the last scraps of the bottom, guess that's why it was dry (and it as soaking in gravy like stuff). Will not go again. read more

Goodbye simply turkey Been going there since they opened unfortunately the quality has declined to the point where it no longer makes sense. The turkey is dry and tasteless. With turkey in their name you would think they could make good tasting turkey. A little salt before cooking would help. The bread is so thin that it cannot keep the salad dressing in the sandwich. When we mentioned the extremely thin bread slices their response was that is just how it comes and there is nothing they can do about it. Really like there is only one place you could buy your bread from. We all know what it up, this was the cheapest supplier so they are sticking with it. Was once a time that their bread made the sandwiches so thick you had a hard time fitting it into your mouth. I get it thin slices cost less but a sandwich needs proper bread. So fine bread is out so we tried the wraps like they suggested. Next problem we asked for very little dressing and we got a wrap that had so much dressing that the inside and outside of the wrap was soaked with dressing when we unwrapped it. Lettuce is also being skimped on. Had one small piece in the whole wrap. Finally the bacon tasted soggy like it was a day old. There was only small pieces of bacon no strips. Probably scrapped the last of it off the bottom of the pan. Our fault for coming after the lunch rush. Probably did not want to make or go into the back to get more so they made do with what they had. The best part of the wrap was the pickled peppers. The current quality is a shame as this was once the best sandwich place around. But we get it the rising costs have forced them to cut corners rather than maintain their quality and simply raise the prices. read more

We have been getting food from this restaurant for decades for business meeting attendees. Unfortunately, the food we got today is not what we remembered at all from last year. The turkey is shredded to dust. The bacon is chopped into bacon bits, and the turkey is dry. They even changed the Caesar dressing. They had a good run, but unfortunately, I guess the rise of costs have forced them to cut corners rather than maintain their quality and simply raise the prices. We wish them all the best, but we have removed this restaurant from our meeting rotation. read more

On the days I'm on site at the office, this is our go to spot for lunch. They have a variety of wraps, drinks, sides and soups available for purchase. I never leave hungry and almost always have some form of left over for later. I've only had the wraps and pasta salad sides but they also serve salads and sandwiches. Parking is a bit confusing and there's limited options as they share a lot with a few other restaurants and shops, that's the only drawback. Took my husband here this past Friday and we both got the chicken bacon ranch wrap, a pasta salad side and BBQ chips. Both wraps were made well and filled with plenty of toppings. It does get a bit pricey when you start adding sides, sodas, desserts so you might want to opt for a combo they offer (1/2 wrap, 1/2 soup/side) to help save some money. Wish they were open on weekends but its a nice treat when I'm in the area visiting family or at the office. read more

Be careful parking... it's a one way street. I don't know how or why, but I saw 2 cars driving in the wrong direction and almost got into an accident. I got their paradise salad and crab bisque which were both delicious! You can customize your salads or get a wrap and soup, and you can't go wrong. Prices are fair and everything is delicious. My coworkers convinced me to try it and their descriptions made me go and I'm glad I tried them. I will be going back again to try their other options! read more

A local favorite - food & soups are always tasty. Cafeteria style ordering - slide your tray along as you order. My go-to is the 'Simply Special' - turkey, stuffing & cranberry between 2 slices of bread...just like Thanksgiving! There are usually several soups to choose from & every on I've tried has been great. You cant really go wrong here ...if you can find a place to park;) I try to avoid the lunch rush & don't have much of a problem. Great place! read more

The Kong: Simply my favorite turkey sandwich. On the "More" side, some of the soups have been really good, others just kind of okay. There's a lot of regulars who swing by over their lunch break, so it can be a little intimidating if you're not familiar with the menu and myriad of options (sourdough bread is ). I was overwhelmed my first visit and got some mild Soup Nazi vibes, but I stopped back next time I was in the area, this time after the lunch rush, and the service was much more relaxed. A couple of the guys are really cool...you can tell they not only care about their regular, but also do a nice job explaining everything to first-timers. There are a few who could spare a smile or two and try a little harder to help out the newbies, but in my experience that's the exception, not the rule. Parking seems like it'd be a problem given how much business they do coupled with the limited spaces they share with a couple other businesses on that strip, but somehow there's always a spot or two open. Just watch your step when you're leaving! read more

The cranberry sauce was not bad. With a name like Simply Turkey, I expected an assortment of turkey cuts

I used to enjoy this place and felt I got good value for my money. $12 for a couple slices of turkey and some cole slaw...? I'll pass.

I walk in. There's one person in line with a girl is helping her a boy is checking out someone there are two people just standing talking behind the counter back by the cash register. I stand there and wait a few minutes until the person who is checking out is done and he walks over to help me While he makes my order. A new person walks in to order soup and the guy who's been standing there the whole time doing nothing goes. Oh, I can take care of him.. so you can take care of him, but you can't help the customer that's been standing there ? The two that we're standing in there a short tiny girl and a bald headed guy. We're just talking about her man problems and there were some swearing by the guy. This is not a good look for a food place be better. I would've asked for the manager, but I think one of them was probably the manager and they wouldn't of cared read more

Have gotten their cranberry sauce every year for as long as I can remember. This year it looked and tasted just like canned jellied cranberry sauce, no berries or anything. I did ask the restaurant and was told the recipe changed yearly this year due to their supplier. I will be making my owning or buying it somewhere else next time. read more

Food is amazing here and the staff is very nice! Nice place to get to go but they also have seating inside. One of our go to places to get a good sandwich and salad. read more

Really disappointed with this place. Went there for lunch and decided on the soup and sandwich. The soup (hearty vegetable) virtually had no flavor and while the cranberry chicken salad was good, the whole-wheat bread was falling apart and seemed stale. I usually don't care about price but to charge $2.75 for your branded bottle of water seems shamefully greedy. All in all I had a couple spoonfuls of soup, a couple bites of my sandwich before throwing it away. I think my bill was $11 for a really crappy lunch. I did take my water with me for that price. The one positive I can say is that the staff was super friendly and the place is clean and welcoming. read more

A great find! Welcoming interior, clean and roomie. The wrap and sandwich was delicious. Quite a few menu choices too. Will be back more to try all the other items over time. I suggest you should too. A mom n pop business that we need to support!!! Let's help our small business neighbors to assure they thrive and keep doors open to us with verity and options, as well as stop us from seeing empty/boarded up buildings!!! Kudos owner/staff! Bravo! Keep up the good work! Only problem is when it's busy, parking can be tight as it's in a small strip mall where they all share the parking spaces. read more

Online is very easy to order. Food is very fresh and tasty. Whenever we get the dinners, they are great. My wife loves the Crab Soup. I like the Black and Bleu Wrap. The restaurant is also very clean and orderly. The food prep areas look well kept and sanitary. The cases with the salads and drinks are clean and presented well. And the Turkey is moist and flavorful. Good job! read more

Bread dry, no lettuce, man behind counter with such an attitude. Sorry you hate your job and people !!!

Great spot for lunch! Surprised I haven't been here yet but Simply Turkey has delicious, hearty wraps and great lunch deals. Any Wrap, soup, and chips for around $11. Plenty of seating inside, and a nice outdoor patio with seating and umbrellas. I had the chicken, bacon, ranch wrap (pictured) on a chipotle wrap and a cup of seafood chowder. Plenty of ingredients available to make your own wrap as well (think chipotle). Try the soups - they're delicious! read more

Third time we ordered and third time items we paid for were missing. Food is always good. Just very disorganized.

Still a wonderful place for a light lunch they still make excellent soups wraps and salads and combos for every appetite! Earlier closing hours than most restaurants but they do pretty much cater to lunch crowds! Turkey & More does do catering if you're looking for a lighter fare menu for your special occasions or luncheons! read more

Cross Simply Turkey off the lunch bunch list. Not reliable for getting what you paid for. The problem with delivery is, when the order is messed up, you're stuck with it. You pay the $10 delivery fee and decent tip but the driver is gone by the time it's discovered 2 combo orders are screwed up, no extra sauces ordered were included, a sourdough coleslaw turkey russian dressing came as a rye with the driest coleslaw I ever experienced, turkey no russian dressing. This was a very dry sandwich. Past experience with calling resulted in rude customer service and no delivery of corrections. We'd have to pick up. What? We had delivery because we're at work with limited lunch break. Not recommended unless at location to verify order to make sure it's correct. read more

Simply Turkey catered a lunch for an event that I was apart of, and I was SO impressed! We had the package that included wraps, sandwiches, chips, cookies, and brownies, and everything was delicious! Their catering options were super affordable as well. I had a few different options throughout the day, and my favorite was definitely the southwest wrap. I would definitely recommend Simply Turkey for lunch on your own or catering! read more

Always a great place to eat. Quality soup, sandwiches and salads. I've had all three.

This review is based off one interesting experience. It didn't go quite as planned, but it turned out to be a success. Stopped in at approximately 6:40 pm although this location closes at 7 pm, so we had to be quick. I asked the gentleman behind the counter what his favorite is and he didn't hesitate to list a few. My ears liked the sound of the Cajun Crunch Wrap. Another member of my party agreed and we both got the exact same wrap, which also made it easier on the staff. We had our choice of about 4-5 tortilla flavors and choose sun-dried tomato. The staff members noted it was slightly spicy and the blackened chicken breast, cheese, tortilla strips, lettuce, beans, and their cherry pepper ranch dressing sounded good. Arriving late we choose a few bottle drinks and chips and waited for our third person to order something less spicy before checking out. I hate to admit it but I have no idea what they ordered. I was trying to get my food and go so the staff could leave work on time. I may have been a bit hangry too. You may have guessed we got our food to go, after arriving home I quickly realized I might be better off cutting my wrap in half and possibly making two meals out of it. Oh man was it good. The flavors went well with the slight spice without overwhelming the beans and cheese. I was tempted to dig into the other half, although I had to remind myself I could enjoy this twice! I will definitely return, hopefully a bit more before closing time. read more

Semi-fast food, great taste, healthy options, make sure you try this place. Some people freak out because the word turkey is in the name and they envision something along the lines of Thanksgiving dinner or Boston Market. It is neither!!! You need to try this if you haven't already. (OK, to be honest you can also get a turkey dinner.) It's one of those places where you pick up a tray, grab a drink, then make your way down the line - selecting what you want to eat and customizing it as you go. If you love good bread this is a great place. They have their bread brought in every day from Philadelphia. They slice it right before your eyes. I think there have been more than 5-7 options every time I've been there. Personally, I love the salads, which you can get in various sizes for various prices. My favorite is the boss salad which allows you to pick your toppings. I usually go decadent with chicken salad, blue cheese, bacon, and tomatoes or onions. The sandwiches are great with tons of options and you can customize to meet your needs. The soups are amazing and a large one can easily make a meal. The soups taste like your grandma spent the day slaving over a stove. The parking at lunch time is a %^&#^%. You'll often find that there isn't a space in the parking lot and there isn't a lot of close street parking. Go early or later in the lunch hour. They're only open M-F and only from 10:30 - 7:00. Most people grab something for dinner on their way home. I think almost everything can be packaged to go so you can take the items, assemble the items at home and you can look like you slaved over the oven all day roasting poultry and whipping up side dishes. I'd give it 5 stars but the parking is a ^*##^$ and the prices are just a little higher than I really want to pay for what I get. But the food is fast, fresh, healthy, and tasty. read more

I'm a big fan of Simply Turkey. I have never ordered anything that I didn't like here. I especially enjoy the blackjack chicken wrap. Their soups are awesome, especially the turkey noodle. I just like coming here when I can. The employees are always super nice and will answer any questions that you may have. Their menu isn't huge, but it's also not very small either. They also offer huge cookies at the register. I love the pb cookie and the choco chip is great as well. It adds a nice touch to your meal. read more

I heard good things about this cafe but It was only okay. I got the simply sandwich which the turkey and bread were good. However, I did not care for the stuffing (and I love stuffing) and the cranberry sauce was canned. I would try something else if I went back. read more

Great wraps. That's all I've ever gotten there so I can't speak much for anything else on the menu but the wraps are so good.

I just moved into the area and was looking for a place to eat lunch when my coworker suggested Simply Turkey & More. I prepared myself because they have daily specials and it seemed like a very busy sandwich shop. I'm glad I did. I had the chili which was simply amazing. It had a wonderful kick (I don't usually handle spicy well) and was packed with meat. For my sandwich I ordered the Turkey, Cranberry and Brie. The brie spread was incredibly creamy and the cranberry reslish wasn't too sweet which I was happy about. It can get busy around lunch time, but be patient the food is worth the wait. The staff is very friendly and will remember you even if you're an infrequent visitor. Tip: If you have time on Friday definitely order the cream of crab soup! read more

I have no idea how I have yet to review this considering I order takeout from this place (and by this place, I mean their location on Front St, Harrisburg) faithfully Monday-Friday. (living frugally my ass) Don't tell my Boyfriend ;-) On to the review: This place hits the spot for just about all of my lunch-hour cravings (even for peanut-butter eggs). The food is prepared fresh (yes, you can watch to make sure no foreign items are making their way into your sandwich), which I adore. They have wonderful daily specials. Their menu consists of made-to-order-whatever-you-want items (i.e. wraps, sandwiches, salads). They have the creamiest, mouthwatering, homemade soups. The staff (again, only referring to the location on Front St) has always been patient and pleasant despite the chaotic lunch-hour rush. They offer several combo deals, which are extremely kind to your wallet. I recommend going to this place if you haven't already. Check their website to find out their daily specials/soup menu: http://www.simplyturkeyandmore.com/ read more

Simply Turkey & More is a great lunch spot in the area. They have fresh salads and soups, awesome sandwiches, and you can even get a Thanksgiving feast here for lunch or dinner. On my last visit I got the turkey dinner to go. The turkey was plentiful and moist, the stuffing wasn't too herb-y and tasted homemade, the potatoes were creamy and the gravy was not too salty. It also came with a vegetable and cranberry sauce. The green beans I chose were unremarkable but fine and the cranberry sauce was perfection. I didn't eat the roll, I didn't need it. Though it they would have thrown in some butter I probably would have tossed it back. The only gripe I had was that it is a little pricey for lunch. My friend and I went there and between the two of us the total was over $25. She just got a sandwich combo and I got the dinner. No drinks. I don't know if they charged us wrong or if that was what it was supposed to be (she had an additional side and chips but we thought the combo meant that came with it? Since we got it to go we didn't really realize it until we were back. No worries. It was DELISH and I will return. read more

nice change of pace from the fast food and sushi/chinese places. Stuffing is home made, tastes like a sage based dressing. Turkey is good, could always use a little more of it but its good, close to home made. Potato's are instant but I like instant so fine with me. Little pricey but not too bad. I have been a customer for some time now. I have never been disappointed with the food and the customer service is way above par. Enjoy!

I tried this place several weeks ago based on the reviews I had read here. I decided to just go in and grab something for a takeout lunch. First off, the parking comments in the other reviews are correct. Yikes! After waiting about 7 minutes I lucked out and caught someone pulling out of a space. However, I figured this was a good sign of things to come. (Note: apparently you can call ahead and just pick up your order at a drive through window. I didn't know this when I went.) I walked in and surveyed the setup. I hadn't realized it was a cafeteria-like line to get your food (a la Subway). But hey, no problem. I perused the menu, made my choice, and ordered the Turkey Special (Reuben). The woman helping me asked what kind of bread I wanted. When I asked what my choices were, she sighed and looked at me like I was a complete idiot. She begrudgingly recited my choices (I chose the pumpernickel). I was just looking around while she was preparing my sandwich. I turned back around as she was finishing up and looked at my sandwich and thought: it's so small; it doesn't look like there is any coleslaw on there. So I asked her if it came with coleslaw. She just glared at me and snapped "It's on there!." I just walked off and paid for my lunch ($5.50). Back at the office, I dug into my sandwich. It was tasty albeit rather bland. The turkey was flavorful and moist. But the coleslaw had little flavor. And I could barely taste the Russian dressing. The size was on the small side of standard; nothing generous like at a quality deli. So for now I'm giving this place two stars despite the other reviews. If the sandwich had been something special I would have thrown in a third. But it wasn't. I might try this place again. Maybe I just caught someone having a bad day which affected both the service and food. read more
