Strawberry Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad with strawberry vinaigrette
Eugenia H.

A chef's kiss for takeout on Giotti's Strawberry Walnut Grilled Chicken salad with strawberry vinaigrette, always made to perfection, just like I like it. The Strawberry walnut chicken salad is made fresh with enough strawberries, walnuts, and mozzarella cheese for a dine-at-home experience. Generally, it is a fast, friendly takeout experience. My only disappointment is that our take-out orders usually do not include their signature homemade bread. My husband usually indulges in their extensive menu selection, but I stick with the salad. The Italian BYOB restaurant on Patton and Linglestown Roads is a local gem, and I plan to dine there soon.

We went to Giotti's last Thursday evening for the first time. The restaurant was very full with a large party. We were seated right away at the back of the restaurant. The restaurant ambient temperature felt like 85+ degrees inside. I was sweating even with a cold beverage. The service was very good. The place was very loud due to the gathering on the other side of the restaurant. The rolls and oil were outstanding. The caprese salad was average. The tomato's (which are in season) had very little flavor. I had the manicotti for dinner. The plate looked delicious when it was served, but unfortunately, the sauce was lacking flavor. The three manicotti pasta rolls were not that bad. If they could had some Italian seasons to this sauce, it could be an excellent dish. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the food quality (lacking flavors). Hopefully, they can fix the cooling issue. It was not a pleasant experience.

Went here with my coworkers one day after work. There were 8 of us. It was pretty empty in the restaurant minus a few other tables. Seated immediately. For some reason, they sat our big group of 8 next to another big group of 6 people. Honestly this almost ruined the whole experience for me. I could hardly hear my coworkers at the other end of the table, I wasn't able to engage in conversations since I was the one closest to the other big table. I was about to ask to move, but I didn't want to embarrass my coworkers. Out of the whole empty restaurant you sit two big separate groups of people together, literally with my back nearly touching someone's back. Very frustrating and definitely impacts my review. Another con is that they're BYOB, but luckily there's multiple stores near where you can purchase some. They even provide wine glasses. Took about 20-30min for all 8 of us to get our food, and be served at the same time. From what I could see, everyone enjoyed their food. They give complimentary bread with the best olive oil I've had. The bread was very tasty. I ordered the penne vodka, and it was so delicious I ate all of it!! It also came with a side salad with your choice dressing, but I honestly only took a few bites of it cause I wanted to have sufficient belly room for pasta. Their menu online vs the menu in store does have different prices! Online it said my meal would be $12, but it was around $17 at the restaurant. They do have a pretty large many with plenty of options. I absolutely LOVED my meal of penne vodka. I will definitely get take out of the penne vodka on my lunch breaks in the future. Service was pretty good aswell. Unfortunately, the seating arrangements is what gives this a 3.5 star in my opinion.

This was the chicken cacciatore. Amazing.

I have been to this restaurant four times in my entire life one time pre-pandemic. I had knocked on there in years and then decided to go there this year one night to surprise my wife with somewhere "new". The food was amazing I had chicken cacciatore the first night. It was delicious. The service was astounding. The people who worked there are of the most amazing caliber. Made me wanna go back all the time. I went there a second time had the rigatoni with sausage that was delicious probably the best sauce I've had out. I make my own sauce at home most of the time and this sauce was as good as my own at least maybe better than some of my batches. And I went there a third time on Valentine's Day, which was about a two weeks ago now. My only disappointment with Valentine's Day was that I called ahead to ask if they had a full menu or if it was a limited menu for Valentine's Day and the girl on the phone told me it was a full menu so I was excited because I wanted to try out the lasagna this time. However, when I got there, it was a limited menu to my disappointment and pretty much everything on it included either crab shrimp or scallops I believe shellfish. Which I'm allergic to, so that was not cool. However, they were able to make me a New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, a salad and broccoli which was a modified version of the strip steak, which came with a crabcake. And that was amazing. This place in my opinion gets a 10 out of 10 pretty much consistently, the food is delicious. The service is insanely good. The people who work there are the best kind of people. I will go there forever. I've already got plans to bring some people from out of town there in the next couple weeks and months because the food is so delicious. It's such a nice restaurant to sit in. I guess my only other complaint or gripe if there could be one is that parking is weird they don't have a lot in their actual lot, I found myself parking down in the next lot over at the closed medical facility that was outside of their business hours because there wasn't enough space. I recommend calling for reservations if you're trying to get there on Friday or Saturday, this place gets packed.

Steak and scallops. Delish!

I have never had an unpleasant experience here and I LOVE that it is BYOB! We have had large group parties for dinner and had excellent service, we have arrived without reservations and been seated in a timely manner, and we have come for holidays and always had decent service and great food. My most recent visit was with reservations for a holiday dinner with my husband and two young sons. They were very accommodating with a highchair and booster seat for us. Even though the restaurant was crowded, we received our drinks quickly and had our appetizer order taken. Our server was very friendly and came back to check on us throughout our meal. I ordered a special that evening of steak and scallops--yum! The steak was cooked perfectly and didn't have a lot of seasoning that could overpower the flavor. The sea scallops were large, grit-free, and very nicely prepared. The bread that you get as a starter here is a nice rosemary foccacia. They serve it with a plate with olive oil on it, which is something I love as it reminds me of dining in the Mediterranean. We love Giotti's for the food and ambiance, but we also get consistently good service no matter how many is in our party.

When I realized I'd be just minutes away late Friday afternoon on one of the nicest days of the year so far, it felt like the perfect time to finally give it a shot. Friday afternoon, 74°, end of a long work week...this absolutely screamed "patio dinner," and Greystone delivered on that front! I arrived around 4:45pm and asked for patio seating, and was seated at a great table in full sun. The vibe was exactly what I was hoping for -- calm, quiet, and a really beautiful setting. When I got there, the patio was about one-third full, but by the time I left around 5:30pm, it had nearly emptied out. That said, I could definitely see this being a go-to spot when the weather is nice, so reservations are probably a smart move if you're aiming for patio seating. For my meal, I went with the shrimp salad wrap with a Caesar salad and a Diet soda. On paper, it sounded like a solid, light dinner option. In reality...it didn't quite hit for me. The shrimp salad was very mayo-heavy with minimal seasoning, and it was loaded with large chunks of celery (like...a lot of celery). The menu also indicated the wrap would include tomato but it didn't. The shrimp were left whole, which made it tough to eat as a wrap -- I ended up just picking out and eating the shrimp and leaving most of the wrap behind...along with what felt like an entire stalk of celery. Not exactly what I had in mind. Service also missed the mark a bit. My server checked in shortly after the food was delivered, but then disappeared for quite a while. I finished eating and waited about 20 minutes for my check, with both my Diet soda and water empty and no refill in sight before she eventually came back. My total came to $24.30 before tip, which put the experience right around $30 for one person, one cold wrap, one side salad and a Diet soda -- and for that price point, I was expecting something a little more elevated, both in food and service. Greystone definitely has the look of an upscale, country club-style dining experience. The space is beautiful, especially the patio, and the overall atmosphere is appealing. But right now, it feels like the execution isn't quite matching the vision. The food lacked that "oh my god this is GOOD" factor, and the service didn't support the price point. Also worth noting -- a few small maintenance details stood out, like a broken toilet paper dispenser laying in pieces in the women's restroom and loose floor tiles near the bar that shift when you step on them. Not dealbreakers, but noticeable in a space aiming for a more polished experience. Overall, Greystone is a great spot for the vibes -- especially on a sunny day -- but the food and service didn't quite live up to expectations for me. I'd come back for the patio, but I'd probably manage expectations (and maybe try something different on the menu next time).

This is my go-to pizza from back in the day, when the days were long and the paychecks light, I'd grab two slices, eat them there, and take a six pack back to my dark basement lair to plot my revenge on whatever life inflicted on me that week. It's so easy to order, the pie is brought to our table, and it feels like the majority of business is pu/delivery because the tables are usually occupied by people waiting for their orders, not diners. It's always too hot to eat, so I commit the sin of knife-and-forking the first slice because I can't wait. I don't want to over-sell it because everybody's preference for pizza is selective but this pie is best because it is consistently tasty, hot, and hearty. It's not gourmet or artisian. It is street pizza made with care and practice. Like a lot of strip mall stalls, the winter cold invades the dining room every time someone crosses the threshold. There's nothing to block it from the tables near the entrance. The beer cooler has a standard assortment of singles and half-cases with decent prices. Again, I'm not telling you it's the greatest pizza you will ever eat, but in a town where you have to be more specific about how many brothers or whose brothers are in the name of the restaurant, Brother Joe's is consistently satisfying.
