We had been to Ciro's before and watched the pizzas being made, for we previously sat up front and watched the action before our very eyes. For our next visit, we decide amongst ourselves (the hubby and I), that we would sample Ciro's pizza. I appreciated the small side salad with its fresh components (not of the bagged variety) and their zippy vinaigrette. Admittedly, for not being overly busy, it did take a bit for our pizzas to arrive. To me it seemed, Ciro's was possibly short-staffed, for the front of the house. With so many pizza praising reviews, I was anticipating a stellar, savory pie - unfortunately, Ciro's didn't deliver. Their pizza was a big miss, for me. Meh crust, sauce tasting as if from a can of crushed tomatoes (absence of spice, nothing homemade about it) and rubbery cheese, that formed a helmet on my pie. The star of this meal was our gelato, in a child-sized cup, but rich and creamy.

Everything from drinks to dessert was excellent! The service was above and beyond, per usual. Halloween specials and staff dressed in costumes made it fun.

Food was excellent. Chicken parm, romaine salad w Gorgonzola dressing and tomato bisque. One note of disappointment. The handicap spaces are in the back but the rear entrance is closed so you have to walk around the building. ‍

Mango tonight!!!

Good Food. Nice Place. Great Gelato. Fun place to go for a family meal of just to get a drink. Absolutely worth giving a try.

Been eating there for years. Tonight the chicken Parmesan consisted of two tiny pieces, over fried and dry. Very disappointing.

My wife had the tagliatelli bolognese and I had the porchetta. Both were stand outs. We finished with tiramisu (we had to share because we were both very full.) Our server was excellent. Couldn't have asked for better. Attentive and answered any question we had. As far as ambiance goes it was a really nice space. Not too big. It felt cozy and just enough "farm to table feel." If you get the chance you should go.

I dined there yesterday, Sunday, September 20th, and I can't say enough about the great service. Big smiles, polite discussion with us, everything. Kelly waited on us at Luca and she was fantastic. We enjoyed the burrata and the focaccia as starters, so delicious. I had the ravioli in the sun gold tomato sauce and loved it, and my husband loved the Sunday meatballs. For dessert, Affogato has long been my favorite dessert whenever I see it on a menu. Luca's is one of the best I've had. My husband loved the olive oil cake with the blackberry jam! This is a beautiful restaurant with comfortable seating and while buzzing with energy, not so loud that we couldn't chat over our meals. Lancaster is indeed lucky to have such a great fine dining restaurant!

Growing up, the Italian community did a thing. Basement kitchen dinners. About 10-30 of us…read morewould gather on occasion in the basement bar/kitchen of a friend to cook pasta, enjoy some beverages, and spend time catching up with friends. Valentinos reminds me of this in all the best ways. Their motto is "where good friends meet" and they have absolutely nailed the family/friend/vibe, hitting the nail on the proverbial head. Debbie slings hot pasta like a humming birds, bouncing back and forth between tables just as fast as she can. And ohhh boy the sauce. I love it. Its sweet, meaty, and is really good for dipping your garlic bread in it. I will also echo others the Tenderloin Tips Sandwich is very VERY good. Rob, the bartender, is also a gem - putting up with my inane ramblings and proactively giving me water to hydrate. After several generations, Valentinos is still family owned/run, and they've still got it! Note that there is live music almost every Thursday on the restaurant side, including both professional and amateur artists. If you're looking for a down to earth place to get some food, drinks, and enjoy good company; this is the place for you! **Open for takeout and/or groceries during the COVID quarantine. Started off good enough hostess was gracious and wished us a happy anniversary- Server was cold, distant and seemed annoyed to be there- We ended up starting with the Classic CAPRESE- yes basic but when done correctly amazing- this was done correctly! I ordered the Cod Special which was excellent. Added a side of rigatoni nice but $10 seemed a little pricey. My wife had the Parpadelle Bolognese which she enjoyed. Problem was the tables around sat empty and dirty for far too long. When our entrees arrived our caprese plates were never cleared nor were we offered any additional bread- Half way through our meal the server shows up- "how was the first bite"- REALLY?? Never offered to pour our wine and had ZERO personality. Food was very good so would consider returning BUT- when you are charging premium prices it's the overall experience you expect which Sarah P was far from delivering.
