We had lunch at Trevi 5 after visiting Hershey Gardens. The restaurant is located inside of The Hotel Hershey. It has an upscale feel, however the website states that the attire is "resort casual." It took a minute to find the restaurant as we were roaming through random hallways. Eventually an employee directed us in the right direction. We arrived after lunch rush so it was not busy at all. We were seated immediately and our drink order was taken quickly, but after that, the service was extremely slow. Our server as well as other employees were very nice and professional, but they were slow to take our order and bring out our food after we eventually ordered. I had the Pancetta and Egg Salad and it was really good! The portion was generous. The pancetta was very flavorful and added a nice saltiness. It had a nice amount of vinaigrette on it and the flavors complimented each other well. read more

We came for a nice date night for the first time and were underwhelmed. I will say the outdoor space is nice, and we love a good outdoor seating area. This place is very pricey, and knowing this we stuck with water and no appetizers. Our waitress was standoffish and yanked the menus out of our hand when we declined drinks or appetizers and frowned at us...even though her tip was easily going to be a nice chunk due to the expensive menu prices. I got the Lobster Tagliatelle, which was pretty good. It had a great depth of flavor, and the onions really pulled everything together. I would've preferred the greens to be maybe blended into the sauce, since they ended up clumping together in focused areas in the dish. There was a sufficient amount of lobster in the dish. I was comfortably full by the end of the meal. My husband got the Rigatoni Bolognese, which was disappointing. There wasn't much flavor, enough so that it could've been on a kid's menu. He added a bunch of salt and pepper but was still underwhelming. For the price, it was honestly pitiful. He said that he was still hungry by the end of the meal. For my meal, I would recommend this place only if you are looking for an expensive night out. Based on my husband's meal, I would say absolutely do not waste your time or money. read more

I was in Hershey for a bachelorette party weekend and for our first night in the area we dined at Trevi 5 for dinner. It only made sense as we were staying at the Hotel Hershey and it came as highly recommended from the staff. Even though I'm wary of Italian food outside of major metropolitan areas with lots of Italians, I was looking forward to checking this place out - so off we went. Trevi 5 is located in the main hotel on the second floor off the old fountain lobby. The restaurant was fairly crowded when we arrived, but since we were a larger party we were seated in a private room which was very nice. The decor was kinda unremarkable - the carpeting and walls were a light grey which didn't really read Italian restaurant - it wasn't warm nor was it remarkable. The menu had a good selection of standard Italian fare - starters, pizzas, pastas, mains, and sides. We decided to start with several apps to share - antipasti, fried calamari, grilled octopus - plus three pizzas: quattro formaggi, margherita, and carciof. The apps were pretty good, though I thought the pizzas stood out more; they had that brick oven consistency with good flavor. For my main I decided to get pasta - specifically the pappardelle with beef ragout. The dish was fine, I wasn't a fan of the sauce but also felt there also should have been more of it (as contradictory as that sounds); the pasta was a smidge overcooked as well. We also had drinks - I had one of their iced tea varieties which was quite good. Service was great - food came out at a good pace and our server was really friendly. Overall, Trevi 5 was fine - you gotta take it for what it is since you're in the middle of Pennsylvania so Italian food won't be on the same level as other places. I ordered the Lobster Pappardelle and unfortunately the lobster was spongy and the pasta was sticky. It definitely seemed as though they put the pasta in the pot before the water came to a boil. My husband had the beef sandwich and it was acceptable but we've had better from Panera. Our appetizer was the fig and pistachio buratta and we had the Reese and Kiss martinis. Those were the only saving grace. Service was good...ambiance was on par with Olive Garden. I don't plan to go to this restaurant again. Food: it actually surprised me in that it was pretty good, not amazing. It was pretty standard fare for where I am from in California and in this area stands out as a little better and more flavorful than most places. Seasonal farro beet salad: delicious flavorful and well dressed salad. Did not need a protein added and was a big portion. Fig and gorgonzola pizza: just ok. It was on the sweet side with the honey and some figs. I was happy they didn't skimp on the figs. Although we didn't taste much blue cheese or cheese in general. Pesto pasta: tasted decent but the pesto was so watery we were surprised they let the dish out of the kitchen. Roasted veggie sandwich: pretty standard but the potato chips seemed homemade and very tasty. Focaccia: surprisingly delicious. Coffee: Cappuccino was ok. Espresso was burnt. Also shockingly they charge $7 for a double espresso, which is very high price even for someone from high cost of living area. Service: was surprisingly slow despite being not that crowded. We had to track down our waiter for water and the check. Ambiance: nice nothing really special about it. Trevi 5 was the typical, generic restaurant that you can find in any hotel. There was nothing to suggest an Italian concept and really no atmosphere whatsoever. Although if the weather is right, the outdoor tables on the terrace looked lovely. That said, the food was tasty. We enjoyed a salad, the octopus and a couple of pizzas. In fact, I was quite surprised at how good the pizza was. The service was slightly surly and rushed at first but quickly turned around to pleasant and efficient. Bartender was very friendly and efficient as well. Bottom line - if you have want an easy, fairly quick meal, Trevi is a good choice. Especially appropriate with kids (as we had). But if you want a nicer meal with atmosphere, this probably isn't for you. read more

I took a long walk with a friend from downtown Hershey up to the Hershey Hotel in search of a drink and a nosh and we settled on Trevi 5. Without a reservation we were able to sit in the bar area immediately, which was fine. Trevi 5 overlooks the front of the hotel, which is a lovely view--the main reason for coming was the view. I ordered the Trevi Iced Tea which was a delicious cocktail--not like a Long Island but more like a Prosecco limoncello cooler. To start my friend and I shared the rosemary focaccia which was served in a cast iron skillet with olive oil and balsamic reduction. A great first bite! For dinner I ordered the white pizza which was as perfect as I could hope for. Flavorful, and well prepared, I would highly recommend to everyone! I like the addition of the broccoli rabe on the pie and the Calabrian chili oil. I do think chili flake could have kicked it up half a notch more. Dessert was weirdly the most disappointing of all the courses. I had the cannoli cheesecake and something just seemed off. There was a strong orange flavor when I would have rather a more zippy cheesecake flavor. And generally it was kind of bland? I like the idea but the execution wasn't there for me. read more

I was staying at The Hotel Hershey for one night while driving to my final destination. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and there are a lot of dining choices in the hotel during the tourist season when the park is open and there are outdoor dining choices as well during the tourist season. Because I was here during the off season on a day the park was closed, my only choice in the hotel was Trevi5 or the bar which has more of a snack menu. I had a wonderful steak for dinner as well as dessert and a chocolate martini (by law, you have to have chocolate when staying in Hershey). The meal was excellent and the service was outstanding. I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Hershey. read more

My family and I came here for my mom's birthday, and it was a very nice dinner. The food itself didn't stand out to me, but the ambience was classy and the decor beautiful. The entire environment around the hotel was very beautiful, especially at fall time with all the colorful leaves glowing at sunset. Service was good and quick. We had the following dishes: - Tomato rosemary focaccia - nice soft, warm, fresh bread. Herb/tomato flavors were light. - She crab soup - very thick and creamy. This is a really nice place to have lunch or dinner outside! We had to eat outside due to COVID dining restrictions but no complaints, the weather was beautiful and the view was even better. Lovely archways a short walk from your table make for nice pictures in between courses. The food was great, the pesto burrata salad was a delicious appetizer to split. The bruschetta was smaller, and it was okay. All of our dinners were great- especially my vegetarian gnocchi. I always get tiramisu wherever I go (as long as it's house made) and there's was very good. A little sweet but expected- after all it's Hotel Hershey! The only problem we had came from the cocktails. They were very inconsistent. All three of us got the Chocolate Signature Martini and they all tasted different. One was great, one tasted purely of crème de cacao, and one tasted like straight vodka chilled! We expected better for their signature cocktail. While staying at the Hotel Hershey for my 40th birthday we tried a couple different places to eat and visited Trevi 5 on the last evening. None of the other restaurants made any extra special accommodations for my birthday so my sisters didn't ask this last time, but several staff members at Trevi 5 came out with gorgeous chocolate covered strawberries on a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate! I was beyond thrilled and surprised. The staff at this restaurant from our server to the younger gentlemen helping out were so genuinely warm, friendly and funny, they really made our dinner something special. On top of the outstanding service we received, the food was absolutely delicious. We had bruschetta for an appetizer and shared a few types of pizza and salad for entrees. We also got desserts including vanilla and chocolate gelato and tiramisu, plus the chocolate covered strawberries, all of which were so delicious I even took one back to our room! We ate around 4pm on a Wednesday and there was not a crowd. Was seated right away without reservations. Appetizers: The calamari was yummy, the banana peppers were a tasty touch. The bruschetta was also pretty good. The ricotta was fresh and light. The house salad and pear salad were both delicious as well with a generous amount of spring mix and other healthy ingredients. My baby and I went all the way from Lancaster (while visiting there) to Trevi 5 to celebrate. They had sent a birthday coupon for me that I wanted to use. When we got there, they said they'll comp the lower of the 2 meals and that we HAD to get 2 entrees. I tried to explain that we are at a hotel and had no place to store leftovers, after all, how much can me and my baby eat?! They refused to budge. To top it all off, I told them we are vegetarians and they offered to comp chicken fingers from the kids menu!! Waste of gas, time and money. The waiter also had the top 2-3 buttons of his shirt open - we could see his chest hairs...ugh. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. I had better expectations from Hotel Hershey. read more

Had a late lunch in June and went back 7/8/2024... Had the same beef Panini and it was a totally different presentation and taste. The first sandwich in June was wonderfully grilled had more filling and significantly larger. Today looks sloppy and did not nearly have the flavor as the one in June. However, the homemade potato chips were hot and crispy today. Also had the whipped ricotta appetizer instead of a pizza which complimented sharing the sandwich very well just unfortunately wasn't as good as in June. The service impeccable, the atmosphere iconic and there's always another meal tomorrow. I don't particularly appreciate giving bad reviews. My form of a bad review is no review at all. However, this place, I can't help. I'm going to make this short and sweet. I took my Mom there for Mothers Day, thinking that the restaurant would be as close to a 5-star experience and menu selection that one could get in central PA. I got the Chicken Marsala which came out with a "decent" presentation. Whelp, the meat was dry, and the starches were tasteless. My mother got the Shrimp Scampi, also tasteless and underwhelming. Neither dish looked particularly fresh; I honestly believe cooks (NO WAY IN HELL DO THEY USE CHEFS) prepare the food ahead of time. Maybe they throw it into a microwave or something? Now, this would have been fine had I paid a regular restaurant price-- but nope. The "meal" came out to over $100.00 (again, I was fine with that, if it had been worth it). Neither of us could finish the food. I realized that I was not in a classy place, so I asked for two to-go boxes (not kidding). We took the food home and fed it to the dogs. I wish it ended there. The carpets were worn and probably over 20 years old, and the place hasn't been updated since the '90s (along with their menu). It's criminal. If you are looking for a nice evening, or even a date, my God, don't go here. There is nothing impressive about it, literally nothing. read more

Most hotel restaurants that I have visited offer mediocre food, and I have been around the country. Trevi 5, like all the restaurants at Hotel Hershey is some of the best food you'll ever eat--Trevi 5 never disappoints. The pasta is always perfectly tenderly al dente, never over-sauced, the salads are made with crisp lettuce and flavorful dressings--and the specials are always spot-on. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers that involve mozzarella. The service is always polite, delivers the correct food, and makes your visit relaxing. I rarely write reviews, but I had a terrible experience at Trevi 5 and wanted to bring it to light. Here's the story: After cancelling our original plans to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary because of the pandemic, we decided to still try to make it special by celebrating at the Hotel Hershey. We booked a table for 7 outside at Trevi 5 for the evening of their anniversary. We expected a few changes because of the pandemic, masks, plain outside table, no complimentary bread, no Hershey's Kisses. No problem. A couple days before our dinner, I called the meal reservations line to see if there was anything special we could do for my parents' anniversary. The woman on the line informed me that they do a complimentary "petit fours" plate with chocolate covered strawberries and "Happy Anniversary" written out in chocolate. Lovely. Sold. I was grateful for this small, but thoughtful addition to our meal and was excited for it to arrive after our entrees as a surprise. So imagine MY surprise when our entrees were finished and the waitress came over to ask if we'd like dessert menus. Hmm. They must have forgotten. So, I put on my mask, and went to the hostess stand to politely ask what was up. The hostess informed me that because of the pandemic they no longer offer the complimentary petit fours plates because they are "handmade." (Not sure what tools they are using for the rest of the food, but whatever.) "Okay," I said, "Well, I literally called two days ago and this is what they suggested. That was well into the pandemic." The hostess asked if I called the reservations line or the restaurant. I said the meal reservations line (does it even matter?? It's all the Hotel Hershey) and it was implied that it was my fault that I got the wrong info because I called the wrong line. Okay. Fine, no petit fours plate. But what else can we do? In this instance, it is completely the restaurant's responsibility to make good on a promise to the customer that THEY SUGGESTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. Instead of offering an alternative, I had to ask if we could have a complimentary piece of cake with a candle instead. They refused! I asked again and explained that it was my parents' 50th anniversary, polite the entire time, mind you. The manager finally came over (I didn't ask her to), informed me that they no longer offer the petit fours plate (yeah, I got that), and suggested that we can order dessert off the menu. At that, I broke and got tears in my eyes. This nice gesture that I was looking forward to surprising my parents with, turned into an awful conversation. After spending thousands of dollars on two nights at the cottages, and racking up a $300+ bill for the meal we had just eaten, they made me feel like we weren't worth a complimentary piece of cake. Humiliating. After she saw the tears in my eyes and heard my pleading voice, the manager finally acquiesced and told me they'll bring a dessert out to my parents. I thanked her profusely. At least 20 minutes later, the waitress unceremoniously brought out a piece of cake and offered a curt "Happy Anniversary" to my parents. Not special at all. In fact, very upsetting. Besides this terrible experience, the meal was generally good. My chocolate martini was outstanding. The burrata, bruschetta, and arancini were all very tasty. The desserts (yes, we ordered at least 4 more) were all good. The entrees were generally good. However, my mother and I both ordered the cacio e pepe and it was the worst pasta I've ever had. Definitely not cacio e pepe. My mom, who isn't normally picky, disliked it very much. Instead of a velvety sauce of cheese and black pepper, it was like pasta covered in slightly burnt garlic and oil. Just awful. Stay away from that dish for sure. Hey, I can live with a bad $22 pasta every now and then, but the experience I had with the hostess and the manager put a serious damper on an evening that was supposed to be celebratory. For an expensive, "upscale" place, they really need to take a course in customer service. I've had better service at the Olive Garden. read more

This place is a conundrum--it's pretty loud and filled with a mixture of interesting characters (some dressed for fine dining and some in shorts ready for Hershey Park), but the food is top-notch. The bread was delicious and the basket had a variety of styles. I ordered the filets of beef with buffalo mozzarella. This was one of the best filets I've had and was cooked to perfection. The Marsala & mushroom sauce was earthy and richly flavored. I think I made a happy sound with each bite! My husband got the veal osso buco with saffron risotto. The meat was super tender and the risotto was cooked nicely. We got the nut pie with amaretto gelato for dessert. The pie was like a cross between coffee cake and a nut roll--very good and warming. Our server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. We enjoyed the food immensely here, but were thrown off by the loud, large groups of tourists. It's to be expected since the hotel is close to the park, but at these prices we were hoping for a quieter dining spot. Pretty restaurant tucked inside the Hershey hotel. I enjoyed a chocolate martini which was absolutely delightful and the highlight of the restaurant experience. I ordered a filet mignon medium well and it came out over cooked (past a well-done). Ordered a tea after dinner and the hot water for everyone at the table (not just mine) was cold. Trevi 5 has been in the Hotel Hershey for a couple of years now. However, tonight I decided to finally try it out. Unfortunately, they don't accept reservations during the summer months, but I was able to get a seat when I walked. The hostess than took us to our seat outside. My table was located on the Hotel Hershey's outdoor porch so you get a great view of the town. Once I was seated the assistant waitress came over and started us off with the some Rosemary bread. The bread was fresh, warm and well-seasoned. After that our server Danielle came over. Danielle had been working at Hershey for over 20 years and as a result we had a nice conversation about Hershey. Eventually, I ordered the grilled octopus and Margarita pizza for dinner. The octopus came out very fast and came with grilled potatoes. The octopus itself was grilled perfectly and was full of flavor. After that I had my Margarita pizza. While it came out looking nice it was very messy and kept falling apart. You could tell that the pizza dough was not cooked all the way. However, it was very tasty. Finally, for dessert I had their mandarin orange sponge cake. I was not a very big fan of that as the cake was a bit hard and the orange flavor was a bit too powerful. Altogether, this is a good restaurant that I would return to, but it was not as good as other Hershey restaurants like Devon or Harvest. read more

Two stars for the great service. One star for poorly prepared food. For the price of lunch at Trevi, I expect a very good luncheon salad. It's the Hotel Hershey, after all, in a nice restaurant with a lovely view. I wish the view of my plate had been prettier. But alas: My arugula and mushroom salad was about half yellow. There isn't much good about yellow arugula. It's a sure sign it's been in the fridge too long, respiring in its bag or box, losing nutrients. When I pointed out the problem, the server calmly returned the plate to the kitchen and brought me a new one. The incidence of yellow leaves was lower, but there was still quite a bit of sad, sallow arugula in the mix. What was not in the mix? Mushrooms. The menu describes the salad thus: Marinated Mushrooms & Arugula Salad Chicory, Arugula, Marinated Mushrooms, Ricotta Salata Cheese, Lemon, Extra Virgin Olive Oil I dunno...I feel like in a salad whose title starts with the words "marinated mushrooms", 5 (yep, five) mushroom slices (slices--not whole mushrooms) is rather thin. There was a better proportion of ricotta salata, which is a very distinct cheese, but there certainly wasn't so much that it risked becoming overly tasty. I love this combination of ingredients and often make a salad much like it for my family. But I sure hope I do better than Trevi did. For $12, I left the restaurant hungry and grumpy. My friend ordered her favorite Trevi starter, the Salmon Carpaccio. When she had it at Trevi last week, she said, it was delightful -- fresh, light, perfectly seasoned. When she had it today, it was...not recognizably salmon. I thought it was some kind of fruit sorbet circling her plate. Nope, it was salmon that, as it turned out, had been over salted and wasn't fresh, but mushy and over-cured. She, too, was disappointed. Beyond a wonderful conversation with a good friend, the best thing about our visit to Trevi was the service we received from a new server who did her best to take care of us. We didn't see the manager, didn't get an apology. It was as though this was all standard operating procedure. Which might've been the worst thing about it -- no one seemed disturbed, surprised, deeply concerned. Maybe things will improve. The food and view was a nice experience. We had a woman in her late 40's serve us.. bangs, pulled back. Lisa? Cindy? I can't remember. She was so nice. The whole staff was. We were sat promptly without a reservation But we were on our way to Harvest. I wanted to sit outside My 14th wedding anniversary at the hotel I ordered a Reeses PB martini I think it made me qwezy I then had a scallop appetiser Beautiful By the time I hit my polenta, I was dying. My stomach wasn't having it. Took me a couple hours to recuperate in the room while they swam. We skipped dessert. Although that Nutella dessert looked crazy I sent back my asparagus egg polenta, with shame but the server was so sweet. I left back to the room early. My husband enjoyed his steak. I just feel like the drink was too strong and sweet on an empty stomach The asparagus felt burnt and the polenta over spiced flavoured. Great restaurant though!!! I went to Trevi last weekend with my parents who are almost frequent flyers at the hotel. Because we live so close they love going to eat at the hotel. Other than The Circular (also at the hotel) Trevi is one of the best options in Hershey. We started off with bread and their seasonal charcuterie (cheese board, also pictured). The bread is always giving right away and we didn't have to wait long for the cheese board. I split a pizza with my father and we both got Caesar salads with white anchovy (both pictured). We threw Trevi through a loop with our pizza order instead of getting their traditional margarita pizza, we ordered it with bolognaise sauce and topped with grilled sausage. They were extremely accommodating towards this request and the pizza was bomb. My mother ordered a fish entrée which smelled and looked really good and was possibly the best item on our table. You will pay a pretty penny to eat here but if you got it, it's worth it. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, try the Circular down the hall. Trevi 5 is overall an excellent place to have a nice meal. My favorite part would have to be the uniqueness of the menu and its seasonal changes. Excellent excellent restaurant. We ended up going both nights of our trip to the Hershey Hotel. As an Italian, I really loved Trevi's food and ambiance. Our waiter Brian, was so nice and attentive to our party of 10 (including 4 children). Highly recommend and would definitely return. read more

Had a wonderful evening with friends, but it wasn't due to the food or service. At this price level - one of the most expensive restaurants in the area - you should find snappy and attentive service combined with expertly prepared and presented food ordered from an innovative menu. The food was one-star rated at best. It was quite memorable... and not for good reasons. The lamb risotto was a glob of meat stew on a bed of mushy green risotto. It tasted and presented like a meal that sat in a bain-marie all day and was served luke warm. The shrimp were hard, dry, and tasted charred. It's really hard to ruin shrimp, but I tried one bite and returned to my lamb mush. The filet mignon looked properly prepared, but I didn't try it. The dessert menu looked good, but don't get too excited here either. The desserts deserved 3-stars. The restaurant would not survive without being in Hotel Hershey with a tourism based audience. There are many high quality restaurants in the Harrisburg and Hershey area serving food from innovative menus, with exquisite preparation and presentation, and priced reasonably. I've been here twice and not impressed either time. However, the most recent trip will warrant me not returning. To start, the complimentary focaccia bread is not very good. I love bread and this is not it. The Panini i ordered tasted just ok but I pulled a hair out. I kept eating and didn't want to be rude but after pulling a second hair out I notified our waitress. She was apologetic but assured me it was not a hair and a string from the meat. It was 100% hair which left me feeling disgusted and also offended that she didn't believe me. read more

Of all the restaurants featured during Restaurant Week in Hershey, I would have to rank Trevi 2nd from the bottom on my list. Now, it's not because they aren't good mind you, it's simply because they don't stand out quite as much as their competition. For example, if I were to be in the area for dinner, I would be much more likely to dine at The Harvest or The Circular before returning here. Kinda Italian kinda not; I am not really sure how to classify them. The meal was good but there wasn't a wow factor. I will say the staff here were probably more professional than some of the others venues; very poise and on point. Regardless, for me the menu is where it counts. I need dishes that draw me in before an atmosphere that captivates me. The whole thing falls apart if my palette isn't catered to as well as my person - we are out to eat after all. Keep in mind I am not saying Trevi is a bad restaurant. I am just making it a point that you can do better elsewhere. read more
