Of all the restaurants featured during Restaurant Week in Hershey, I would have to rank Trevi 2nd from the bottom on my list. Now, it's not because they aren't good mind you, it's simply because they don't stand out quite as much as their competition. For example, if I were to be in the area for dinner, I would be much more likely to dine at The Harvest or The Circular before returning here. Kinda Italian kinda not; I am not really sure how to classify them. The meal was good but there wasn't a wow factor. I will say the staff here were probably more professional than some of the others venues; very poise and on point. Regardless, for me the menu is where it counts. I need dishes that draw me in before an atmosphere that captivates me. The whole thing falls apart if my palette isn't catered to as well as my person - we are out to eat after all. Keep in mind I am not saying Trevi is a bad restaurant. I am just making it a point that you can do better elsewhere. read more

Overlooking the vast scenic front of The Hershey Hotel Trevi 5 provided a relaxed handsome atmosphere. Stopped in for a late - and lite - Sunday dinner we shared the "Chef's Selection of Italian Meats and Cheeses". My family and I have been visiting Hotel Hershey for 15+ years. We've had countless meals at both the Circular Dining restaurant and the Fountain Cafe (now Trevi 5) years ago. I have been telling my in-laws about the hotel for years, and finally, this weekend we got the chance to visit. We all had other engagements until 3:00, so we got to the restaurant at about 3:30. The dining room was completely empty. I assumed that members of our party would order more food than we did, even just dessert, but we were all so excited to see each other, we just ordered coffees, a few appetizers, and a few desserts. As a former server, I know this is irritating, so I planned to leave a very generous tip to compensate. Remember, the dining room was completely empty, so it's not like we were holding the table up from other paying customers. Our server was a little curt, but I understood why and didn't bother with it. An hour and fifteen minutes after we arrived, the host walked over to us and told our party that they had a large party arriving at 5:15, and we would need to move for them to have the table. It was clear that she was also slightly annoyed with us. Keep in mind, just in our area of the restaurant, there were six open tables. Either they didn't plan well when they seated us, or they were annoyed with our short orders, which are both unprofessional and unacceptable. My family and I have traveled all over, and needless to say, this has NEVER happened to us at ANY restaurant, let alone a nice establishment like Hotel Hershey. Future Hubs and I planned to try Harvest our first night at Hershey Hotel but mother nature had other plans so Trevi 5 it was. Initially I was disappointed by the menu's sparse offerings but decided to give the "homemade" gemelli chicken pesto pasta a go along w a traditional Caesar. The salad was ok but didn't come close to my favorite Caesar-Macaroni Grill or even close 2nd Voo Doo Steak Lounge in Vegas. The anchovy was salt overkill. The pasta dish was fresh and colorful w summer veggies and the chicken perfectly seasoned and cooked. The dish wasn't packed w the flavor punch I was hoping for though. Future hubs went with a strawberry micro green salad w balsamic reduction. It was a bitter and sour combination that failed. Penne Bolognese was decent but again nothing special or exciting for being a fancier fine dining joint. The pasta does not taste homemade either. The pluses are the bread was good, Hershey kiss cocktail makes a yummy dessert drink and of the three Hershey Hotel restaurants we got the best service here. read more

Excellent restaurant in the hershey hotel. We went december 9th for dinner before going to hershey park. I had the apple cider glazed pork belly. Delicious. Nice and crisp outside and tasty inside. I have had pork belly before but not as good as this. I also the truffled grilled cheese. Very good and very cheesy. Did not get the dessert. Nothing gave me that wow i have to order this. Kids chicken tenders were good too. Nice atmosphere, you can dress casual but jeans and a pollo should be a minimum. Would definitely go again. read more

My fiance and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary at Trevi 5 last night and it was wonderful! We came in with high expectations and they delivered. All the staff was so polite, courteous, and attentive. The fall menu was delicious. My scallops came with a tasty pumpkin risotto and my fiance ordered the homemade parpadelle with mushrooms. My boyfriend & I came here for dinner one night & lunch the next day, we liked it so much. For dinner we started with the shrimp bisque & field greens salad, which were both delicious. As we were in the mood for pasta, I opted for the sausage & pepper lasagna & he got the penne bolognase. We loved both. Prior to being seated for dinner we hung out at the bar where we sampled some of the signature cocktails (loved them too). We got to talking with the bartender who mentioned how he was working on some pumpkin-flavored featured beverages for the fall. As it's sort of a competition among bartenders, he said he'd love for us to try what he was working on, but alas, our table was called. However, later, while we were having our appetizers, he came over with his pumpkin cocktail, on the house. He said that he'd love to hear our thoughts, since we mentioned we're such big fans of pumpkin. (Spoiler: it was really good!) That was really nice. Lunch the next day was lovely as we sat outside on the patio (beautiful weather). We each got paninis. I got the grilled asparagus & wild mushroom with ricotta cheese truffle spread & my bf got the salted beef with pancetta. Again, we loved them both. Trevi 5 is a contemporary Italian fusion restaurant found in the lovely Hotel Hershey. The seating and ambience is fresh and airy and the service, like most of the Hotel Hershey, is friendly and superb. The food, however, is just okay. I came here for lunch with my BF during restaurant week ($15 for 2 courses). I was really looking forward to the meal, and seeing as how it was an Italian restaurant, I opted for the Paccheri Pasta (w. lamb sausage, peas, mushrooms, carrots, pecorino + mint butter). My BF ordered the Grilled Spicy Shrimp Salad (w. baby greens, oranges, red onion, roasted beet, almonds + basil vinaigrette). The pasta was very underwhelming...in fact, it was almost disappointing! The pasta itself was overcooked, the lamb sausage was more like mini meatballs, the peas tasted like they came from a bag (like the type you get from the freezer at the grocery store and place in the microwave), and the sauce was something like a broth (not creamy as I would have expected when they used the word "mint butter" in the description). The best part of the pasta were the mushrooms (which were delectable and hearty). Luckily, the grilled shrimp salad was very tasty and refreshing, with a flavor profile that was very fitting of spring! On the flip side, the desserts were fantastic. My BF had the Ricotta Cannoli Tart, which he loved and devoured even though he was stuffed, and I had the Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Panna Cotta, which was rich and creamy and not too sweet. My only critique is that the panna cotta would have been better without the caramel glaze on top.... Overall, Trevi 5 is a fine restaurant. I was a little disappointed since it should be an Italian restaurant and in that vein, it is blasphemous to overcook pasta. After hearing you don't need to stay at the Hotel Hershey to dine there I wanted to give it a try. We stopped into Trevi 5 for lunch and ordered way too much food which we greatly enjoyed! Started with calamari and a margarita pizza which were both big enough to share and could have been a meal on their own. The calamari was spicy and crispy like I enjoy. The main course was penne bolognese and some pappardelle pasta with yummy mushroom alfredo sauce. I added chicken to my pappardelle and there were plenty of mushrooms in the sauce. I love Hershey Hotel and I think that Trevi 5 is a nice restaurant with very good service. With that being said, the food wasn't all that impressive. We started the dinner with the crab fondue appetizer. It was very tasty but a little watery. I guess I pictured it being thicker. We had a hard time getting it to stay on our toast points. The bread they brought out to us was tasty and warm but some of them were greasy and the oil that was at our table for dipping tasted "old". For entrees my husband ordered the seafood risotto. It was unremarkable. It was very pale in color with a bunch of cherry tomatoes and peas thrown onto the plate. It tasted pretty bland and had a STRONG frozen pea flavor.... I got the baked fusilli with chicken. It had a lot more flavor than the risotto but the chicken they used had a texture of being store bought and not fresh prepared. I'm talking literally those perdue quick cuts chicken that you buy that are pre cooked and pre stamped with grill lines and have a chewy processed texture. Yep, that's what was in my $20 dish. I don't mind paying for good food, but to me this seemed like glorified cafeteria food. Not something I would expect from a chef at the Hotel Hershey. The end of the meal they brought us strawberries dipped in chocolate with "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate in chocolate. Those were delish. But not enough to make me come back. The pumpkin soup and pear salad are delicious courses too! My favorite pizza is the sweet Italian sausage and you can't go wrong with the pastas whether it's the staple Bolognese or the adventurous rigatoni or ravioli. Also tried the prix fixe during Hershey Restaurant Week, the lunch menu was a great deal. The creamy shrimp bisque was fantastic, and I also enjoyed the salad as well. The pizza was decent, very thin crust with quality toppings. One of the highlights for me was the assortment of bread that came with the meal along with the house olive oil, really delicious. The feel of the restaurant is sort of like an upscale bistro if that makes sense. It has nice views out the front of the hotel and you can also sit outside on the deck as well. read more

The things that are Great are the location and view from the outdoor seating area. The interior is very impressive and well kept. Expect to to pay for the experience of The Hotel Hershey with Trevi 5s food prices. Although they are not overly priced. My family and I have had dinner at Trevi 5 twice. You better look at the menu BEFORE you go because you might not be hungry for any of it. It's a place to get extremely fancy for, believe me when I say this. I walked in with jeans, sneakers, a worn down jacket with a hood, with a hoodie underneath that. I was not at the right place. When people stare like they did - you know you don't belong. Not that I care, but fore warning for the ones who do. I just reviewed the menu and I can't even remember what I got. I know it's was from the Pasta section, and the only thing that looks appealing that I would have possibly gotten was "House-Made Campanelle Pasta". Please, it sounds better than it seems. I can't even describe how horrible it was. I'm the worst cook in the world and I could do a better job than that. That's what I'm trying to say. It is so not worth it. Other dishes I tried as well - I mean come on. Not even one plate I liked. Oh, the bread was great - I'll give them that. After reading some of the other reviews I do have to agree the bread served at the beginning is very disappointing, unless of course you plan on beaming someone in the head with it. Please let me explain our culinary delight to you step by step. We started with Beef Carpaccio, Cipriani Style. This is the first time that I have had this and this will NOT be the last time. It was excellently prepared beyond belief! After that we moved to Salumi e Formaggi and we choose 8...(I just copied it from the menu) Gorgonzola Dolce A mild, creamy blue cheese from the region of Lombardy Pecorino Pepato A sharp sheep's milk cheese, studded with peppercorns, from Sicily Raschera DOP A Semi-Soft Cow's Milk Cheese from Piemonte Bel Paese Semi-Soft creamy Cow's Milk Cheese from Lombardy Sopressata A garlic laden, peppery dry aged salami from Southern Italy Prosciutto di Parma Nutty, buttery dry aged ham from Emilia Romagna Capicola Tender, fatty, lightly smoked salume from Campania All of these were wonderful and of course I helped wash them down with a Hotel Hershey Chocolate Martini before and after a shared dish of Penne Bolognese! The food was underwhelming, the beautiful hotel sets high expectations for the restaurant. The place is difficult to find as there are no signs, with multiple restaurants in the hotel. The menu is small, we ordered the antipasto salad, Tuscan chicken panini and a pizza. While the portions were large, the food was ok. The antipasto salad ($13) was very strange, mostly carrots which wasn't listed in the 10 ingredients in the menu. The carrots were sliced in huge rounds and difficult to eat. It was as if they ran out of ingredients or lettuce. It also had pimento instead of black olives, was coated in heavy dressing and topped with a thin crunchy breadstick. The panini ($15) was alright. DO NOT EAT HERE. The "food" here is fucking ghastly. Heaping portions of low quality, unappetizing ingredients presented in uninspiring slop. The chef here should be ashamed. This place is a joke. The bread was obvious heated from frozen. The shrimp bisque tasted like it came from a can. Salad Dressing tasted like pure fat and sugar. When i asked the waitress why it was so sweet she told me it had honey in it. Wtf is the point of that? My friend ordered the calamari and it was covered in parmesan cheese. Squid.. and cheese. Think about that, obviously they were not when they put that on the menu. Only a fat cow would like that greasy mess. I thought appetizers were supposed to be light? Guess they are tgi Friday's. The steak i had was dry and obviously old, select grade quality. My side dishes were just dropped on my plate next to it. Dishes come out looking like cafeteria food in general. Everything here is close to rotting or stale. The tiramisu i ordered for dessert looked so cheesy and pathetic we laughed a little. It even said tiramisu on it hah! I sat in lounge/bar area and was once again greeted by bartender. Had a glass of Orvieto wine, from the Umbrian region of Italy. Cold, crisp and slightly sweet. Presented with a menu and chose the Housemade Burrata salad which was perfect for what I was looking for. Crisp frisée greens tossed in a light citrus vinaigrette with toasted pine nuts and an interesting drizzle of hop scented honey. Dry not creamy bland and had no truffle. Looked like boxed Mac n cheese. Got carpaccio as app and it had so much fig jam on top you couldn't even taste the meat. Overall it was really pretty awful. We live in Hershey and my wife and I had dinner here on September 20 for the first time. We've been to the Hotel's circular dining room and have never been disappointed. Food was good, but not great. Service was friendly and efficient. Bread came out quickly as we mulled over the wine list. But the bread was disappointing. The slices of rosemary focaccia were dry and the rolls seemed day-old and were dry and tasteless. There is no excuse for a Hershey Italian restaurant to have bread this bad with Mussoline's bakery in town. I had the Caesar salad to start, which was good. But no freshly ground pepper was offered, nor was there a grinder on the table. I settled for powdery, dry pepper that was in the shaker on the table (not even a "restaurant" grind). Although it was dusk when we arrived, candles were not brought around to the tables until we were well into our dinner. It was not busy. The place was less than 25% full. I had the penne with Bolognese sauce, which was very enjoyable. The penne was al dente and the sauce was flavorful and just a bit spicy. My wife had scallops and mahi-mahi which she said was very good. My wife ordered the tiramisu for dessert. It did not look like tiramisu. The cake was dry and it was just not appetizing looking. She poked at it, hoping that the next bite would be better than the last, but finally gave up and left most of it. The check came to about $100 which included a bottle of pinot grigio. I guess for the price we expected much more. It's the details that count, like having the candles lighted (especially when you have a reservation), having excellent bread, offering freshly ground pepper for your salad, or fulfilling an expectation with a classic Italian dessert like tiramisu. The entrees were good, but not enough to carry the rest of the dinner. I can't see a reason to go back. The restaurant may do OK with a Hotel crowd that you don't expect to see again. But it's not a place that will be a favorite for townies like Devon, IMHO. read more

We are staying at the hotel for my husband's 40th birthday weekend. We ate at Here the first night we arrived. We started with the charcuterie and cheese plate. It was okay and definitely a good value. But it was not house cured meats. These were clearly from a package, nothing to write home about. Our next course was marinated grilled octopus. Again, it was ok, but the portion was tiny. It was one small tentacle over a piece of braised green with a sauce (the sauce was the best part). The octopus was cooked nicely, but it lacked seasoning. After that we had the crispy pork belly with goat cheese gnocchi. This was a little better, but not outstanding. The portion was a better size. We then split a duck confit and arugula salad with Chianti vinaigrette, which was delicious. The duck was moist and flavorful, the arugula added the perfect peppery punch and the vinaigrette gave the perfect amount of acid to the dish. We finished the meal with pignoli crusted diver scallops in truffle honey butter. This was the shining moment of the meal. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the crush of the nut and sweetness of the sauce paired extremely well. Our server was fantastic. I think his name was George. I'm torn between a 2 and a 3 on this restaurant. I ate here for lunch and dinner on the same day and for the fact that the lunch menu and the dinner menu are exactly the same I'm giving it a 2! For lunch I had the caesar salad and a pizza, it was satisifying and the waitress was very good. For dinner the waiter was very good. The food was ok. I expected a more traditional menu, I expected a different menu from the lunch menu, I basically expected "more"! I want to make sure that it is understood that my rating only reflects the menu and food and quality expectations and that I thought our wait staff was wonderful and completely professional. We decided to try this new restaurant (formerly the Fountain Cafe) at the Hershey Hotel during Hershey Restaurant Week. Though the dress is stated as casual, we saw very few pairs of jeans there- most folks were in business casual wear. While a more mature atmosphere, we did see a family with small children there, and the website offers a children's menu, so children are welcome at this upscale location. The restaurant itself is decorated with appeal, with cream colored walls adorned with Italy-inspired paintings of architecture and vineyards and interesting colorful light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Although the menu is what I would consider a little pricey, it was well worth the delectable food we had this evening. Everything was served fresh, cooked to perfection, presented well and absolutley tasty (see pictures). The service was excellent, timely and courteous. We really enjoyed ourselves at this new Hershey hotspot. Definitely will be back! read more

The meal and service were great!! There were minor things as to why this review is a 4 and not a 5. Anyway... The bruschetta is a must. Definitely not traditional, however wonderful! It is filled with lemon ricotta and an apricot jam. Awesome. I ordered the parpadelle, and it was great. In my opinion, parpadelle noodles are long and thick, not short and the thickness of fettuccini. Not a bad thing, just something I observed. My fiancee got the calzone, for a calzone it was pretty standard. Anything on the menu can be customized. Wait staff is extremely attentive! I would come back again! read more
