The Dog House is becoming one of my go-to spots. The food and drink prices are very reasonable and the food is always delicious. Bartenders know what they're doing, and it's the kind of place where you don't feel rushed--you can actually hang out and enjoy yourself. What really keeps me coming back, though, is the atmosphere. It's got that perfect mix of laid-back and lively. They are constantly trying to provide live entertainment that makes it not only a place to grab dinner and drinks, but also a place to hang out and listen to some live music, play quiz games, etc. Definitely one of those spots you end up staying longer than you planned. read more

Went tonight to see a friends band and enjoy a lighter dinner. Was certainly not expecting 5 star cuisine but it was good to say the least. I tried their Stromboli and I'll say that it was quite delicious for bar Stromboli. The marinara dipping sauce for the boli is a 6.5 at best but it was palatable. My wife had the California burger and said it was pretty good as well. The place is pretty standard bar food so don't expect Michelin quality. Never heard of this place until seeing a clipper ads. I went with a friend and looked like a home on the outside and sports bar on the inside with a ton of TVs. Be mindful if you are sensitive to temptation bring a jacket. The service was friendly. We tried the the BBQ burnt end fries as an appetizer. Crispy, BBQ cheesey goodness. The ends were just right chewy and melted in your mouth yummy. The underdog it was a hotdog wrapped in bacon and deep fried with sweet potato fries. The fries I wish they were cooked as long and crispy as the regular. My friend, tried the cheese steak sub she enjoyed it with the onion rings. This place has been going down over the past few months. I have been back multiple times to give them a chance and every visit I experience the same thing - slow service, inattentive staff, and they are out of a lot of food and drinks. Ask for a beer - they are out, ask for this menu item - they are out of the sauce, ask for a soda - the syrup is out. They built a new outdoor bar but they should be focusing on the exterior which is not maintained and the walls on the inside have water damage and are falling down.. read more

We had a great visit to The Dog House on a Saturday night. We originally only chose to stop by because of the band they had scheduled for the evening. We are very glad we did stop, because we had a fun and tasty visit and will  definitely return on a regular basis.   The layout of the building chunks different dining/bar areas and provides a nice space for musicians, which isn't squeezed in between tables.We were impressed with the food. We had the California burger and onion rings, which my wife is still talking about how good it was. I had the cheesesteak stromboli which was very good!  They have a nice cocktail and beer list, but quite a few of their beer menu items were out. Prices for drinks and food are very reasonable. The service staff was friendly and professional, but appeared to be very short staffed as our waitress was covering a large portion of the dining room. She was always attentive when we needed her, so this is nothing against her.  If you're looking for a relaxed place to grab dinner or watch a game, the Dog House is a good choice. read more

Tonight at The Doghouse was best described as a nightmare. We were placed in a dark room (we needed to use the flashlight on our phones to see the menu) in the back and were told by two staff members there were no lights to turn on. We waited for 45 minutes and still did not even have water. The service was TERRIBLE. The owner passed us, sitting in the dark, multiple times. It was when Christmas music started playing that I stopped her and told her our situation. She listened and then we never saw her again. Some of our orders were wrong. One person ordered a Cobb salad with chicken, but the chicken never came. One person got her food while the rest of us were FINISHING ours. One person never got the fries she ordered. We had to get our own drinks because the ones we ordered didn't come. Then, the waitress brought our checks one person at a time!! read more

I've never once been prompted to write a review of a restaurant in my entire life, until this experience. I need to warn as many people as possible so they do not make the same mistakes as we did. Our server immediately started out by telling my boyfriend he was stressed out about being the only server after 5 pm (we saw at least 2 other servers take new tables after 5 pm) and that his hair was down and he needed to put it up in a hair tie. My boyfriend ordered a beer and the server said that they were probably out of that one. He came back and said to my boyfriend, " yeah, it didn't work". My boyfriend ordered a different beer and the server then proceeded to say they did have that beer, but that putting his hair up with the hair tie did not work. We ordered the brisket burnt end fries for an appetizer. The fries were fries, the cheese tasted and looked like vomit, and the brisket was as dry as the Sahara desert. We were pretty underwhelmed at this point. My boyfriend ordered a burger, which he likened to a school lunch burger but significantly worse. To compare, my boyfriend will eat any burger and enjoy it, including school lunch burgers. I ordered a Stromboli which tasted edible for the first few bites until I realized what I thought was cheese was actually raw dough. After tearing apart the entire Stromboli, we determined the entire bottom was raw and cold to the touch. I have never once complained to a server either, but I felt the need to let him know about the raw food. He proceeded to say, "yeah, that happens sometimes" and brought the check. For $52, you would hope the food would be at least edible. I genuinely thought John Quinones was going to come out at this point and explain this was all just a big prank. It's become our go to place for dinner and drinks and get togethers with friends. We've met there during the summer after sporting events on the patio and met friends to hang out and listen to the music. We have always had such great service. We were there this past Friday watching a band. Even though it was packed, we had amazing service and our waitress was friendly and very patient with our large party. We said something again to our server who was a very nice young boy, but we could tell he was very overwhelmed. He told us he has never served before and this was only his fourth night working at the establishment. He came back with part of our order. So those who had food began to eat. 10 minutes later some more came out. The person who had just ordered a side salad and a side of macaroni and cheese still didn't receive her food. I said to the young boy when he came back that we were missing several things, and I asked him if I could please speak with his manager. This woman comes out, goes to another table first then comes over to us. Very unprofessional she looks at me with this cocky look on her face and says AND!!!??? My two friends sitting across from me started talking and said look we're not eating this , we no longer want it. Here is the money for the drink we had and here is $10 for the server, but we're leaving. She looks at him and says that's fine! she turns to me and asks what my problem is. I said we have been here for over two hours. I said this young boy is so overwhelmed. He's never served before this is his fourth night working here. He has no training. She gets so cocky and says oh, he said he had no training? . I said no that is not what I said. He never told me that, but it is quite obvious. This boy was lost. She kept insisting that he told me he had no training and that was not the case. He was very nice and polite. He just didn't really know what he was doing and you could tell that. I told her if this is his fourth night ever serving, he would be shadowing someone. She was very unprofessional very argumentative and it was just making me more angry so we did get into a mouth battle. She told us to leave. We told her she didn't have to worry about it because we were planning on leaving. She was very loud so I got loud in return. I do apologize for my behavior, but it would've never gotten to that point had she approached our table with the professionalism of a business owner, but that wasn't the case. We will not go back there again. the food was a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. We kind of figured there is a reason this place changed its name three times over the last several years. Solid start for this new restaurant! They have a decent draft beer list and great prices. A double crab cake dinner with 2 sides was $18! The kids' menu has a good selection of entrees, too. We had the fried calamari app and were happy with how nicely they were cooked. The rings were thicker cut than usual, but not rubbery. The garlic aioli was yummy, but the rings could have used more seasoning. I ordered the double crab cake dinner and was very pleasantly surprised! The cakes were delicious & contained tons of lump crab. They were seasoned perfectly and had no bell peppers or anything inside to detract from the flavor of the crab. My husband got the California burger and we were not impressed with it. It was well-done even though he asked for medium-rare and the tomatoes were sad-looking. The flavor was ok and the beef seemed decent quality. I didn't notice too much different inside, except that the moose statue is gone. The lighting & tables all seem the same, but I'm sure things will be changed as they are open longer. Wow this has gone Completely downhill. It took forever for someone to come to our table. We asked if they have wine and the serve said "yes, I think. We have regular wine". Asked for Pinot Grigio and wound up with Pinot noir and that was not good at all. Someone at our table didn't get the beer he asked for either. The food is horrible. My friend and I were at the Dog House tonight to see Shea Quinn. First time to eat there. We had such a great time listening to Shea and Erica. We also enjoyed one of the best dinners we had in a long time!! Scallops made to perfection with shaved brussel sprouts which were awesome and quinoa and brown rice which was delicious. BTW there were alot of scallops...I can't say enough about our waitress Sarah...she was GREAT!!! So friendly and not pushy!! Allowed us to enjoy a couple martinis which BTW were AWESOME!! I had Espresso ones and friend Grape ones!! And the Orange Crushes are soo good too!! I can't wait to go back for more!! Will definitely order same and hope Sarah is our waitress!! Newly opened location. Seemed to be the same ambiance of the last owners. The server seemed a little frazzled, maybe because they just opened. But she was nice otherwise. Got the steak and crab cake. Steak was good, on the smaller side. The crab cake was tasty and pretty decently sized. So for $24.00 I think it was a pretty good deal.
