Our first time the ambiance it is small to say the least. The staff were friendly. The food the smashed burger was good the coop sauce on it spicy. The perogies were good but I could lose the seasoning it didn't need it. My friend had the buffalo chicken fries she loved. My Mac and cheese fries were bland the fries were really salty ketchup helped a little but. I was disappointed because they had a turkey one but didn't have it. It looks good in pictures but not in person. What a disappointment I don't see myself coming back

They do not take orders over the phone. You either have to go on or order online. Went with the traditional loaded with waffle fries. Waffle fries are seasoned, a smidge too much pepper for my personal liking. Not enough sour cream. For $11.75 I felt the portion was a bit small, but it was tasty. Cheesesteak with wiz and onions was excellent. Their wiz is on point. I appreciate that they have both seeded and non/seeded rolls. My non-seeded roll was soft and just how I like it! Blueberry lemonade was fresh and just enough tartness. New and clean area with some tables if you want to eat in. Service was solid. Online ordering time was spot on.

Second time here and these guys really know what they're doing. From the wings, cheesesteaks, fries and potatoes, all really tasty treats. A little pricy, but quality isn't cheap. I think they use really good suppliers because I enjoyed every bite. Looking forward to trying the burgers and chicken sandwiches and tenders. Nice store too, modern, with outdoor seating available. BYOB as well, so bring some alcohol along for no extra charge! ;)

If you are a fry fan definitely check out potato coop. They have every fry type you can think of, pluses baked potatoes and periods. I went with the chicken cheesesteak fries on waffle fries. Sometimes waffle fries can be soggy but even with all of the toppings these were still crisp and flavorful. A side of coop sauce was a good balance to the saltiness and richness of the chicken cheesesteak. I love fries but they have to be good quality and these were great. It was a bit pricey but I really enjoyed my meal.

Way overcooked, so salty I only ate half. Husband tasted it, agreed salty and dry.

Really disappointing in almost every way. Their prices are RIDICULOUS. The burgers are just ok. Hotdog with chili and cheese was so salty, overcooked, I couldn't finish it. Four tables inside. FOUR. Very very slow service. Huge TIP button for no table service, slow food, tiny overpriced drinks. If you must go, like I had to because my kids wanted to try it, pay with cash. We ended up sitting outside in the cold, and not one table or chair was dry. They don't even bother to have an employee dry them off with a towel???? I had to use a ton of paper napkins. Mac and cheese was dry and boring. The only decent food was the chicken sandwich and the waffle fries with cheese. My daughter got the cheesesteak fries, a SMALL lemonade that she said was way way too sour, and a sandwich... $30!

Review of The Potato Coop The Potato Coop offers a unique take on comfort food, but it comes with some caveats. While the food is undeniably tasty and served hot, the experience can be a bit hit-or-miss depending on your priorities. We tried several items, including the buffalo chicken fries, mac and cheese fries, poutine steak fries, and the cheesesteak pierogis. Each dish was flavorful, with the buffalo chicken fries perfect balance of spice and crispiness, but needed something more. while the mac and cheese fries were needed to be cheesier. The poutine steak fries and pierogis were solid choices too, with hearty portions and satisfying flavors, but nothing that wowed us beyond expectations. On the downside, the price is pretty high for what you get, especially considering the limited seating, when you can't sit outside during the cooler mounts. The small, cramped space doesn't lend itself to a comfortable dining experience, especially during peak hours. If you're looking to sit and enjoy your meal in a relaxed environment, you might be disappointed. The Potato Coop is worth checking out!

This is like my fourth visit I usually get the burgers and fresh hand-cut fries. This visit I tried the wings again the wings were cooked perfectly and the garlic truffle aioli is killer. Only complaint is the wings need more sauce coverage.

I really enjoyed everything: great burger cheesesteak and fries served hot and fresh...delicious! The service is friendly and it is a good value too- amount of food is ample for what you pay.

I'd spotted their truck at community festivals and events more times than I can count, but every single time there was a line...and every single time my impatience won. Until one beautiful Friday evening in July. For the first time ever, Soul Lotta Empanadas and I found ourselves in the same place without a crowd standing between us. This was my moment! The hardest part wasn't waiting. It was deciding what to order. Their menu is packed with creative empanadas and, if I'm being honest, I wanted approximately all of them. After a solid internal debate, I landed on the Crab Rangoon Empanada, the Cheesesteak Empanada and a cup of their Street Corn, mostly because I saw someone else walking around with it and immediately developed food envy. A few minutes later, I was handed my basket of empanadas and my cup of street corn. I was absolutely starving, so naturally the Crab Rangoon Empanada got first dibs. And it absolutely lived up to the hype I'd built up in my head! The filling was rich, creamy and packed with flavor. Everything I love about crab rangoon was there, just wrapped inside a perfectly fried empanada instead of a tiny wonton. Honestly, this might be my preferred crab rangoon delivery system now. Why eat eight little rangoons when you can eat one giant one? The Cheesesteak Empanada was just as generously stuffed. Plenty of flavorful filling, plenty of cheese and another excellent choice. If I had to order again tomorrow, I'd happily get either one without hesitation! Then there was the street corn. It was a little different than what I'm used to, leaning more tangy and bright than rich and creamy, but I actually really enjoyed that! It was topped with crushed Cheetos, which honestly made me smile before I even took the first bite. It also made one thing very clear...I had ordered entirely too much food. The empanadas disappeared, but the street corn came home with me. And sometime around the middle of the night, I found myself standing in my kitchen finishing it cold and straight from the cup like a feral raccoon. No regrets! If you see Soul Lotta Empanadas at a festival and there's a line, wait. Trust me! I spent way too long letting long lines scare me away, and now I know they were worth waiting in all along. My only problem now? I've got my eye on those Apple Cobbler dessert empanadas. Looks like I'm going to have to track this food truck down again before summer ends. And this time...I'm ordering dessert first!

The other ones we tried were also great. But the key, must-have ingredient is their sauce! A combination of sweet - kinda like an orange chicken sauce - and bbq flavor. It is SOOO good you'll want to keep buying more.

The flavor lineup was stacked, but I finally committed to a baseball-sized scoop of Monday Morning ($6) -- brown sugar ice cream swirled with cinnamon and studded with coffee cake chunks. And it was phenomenal. Sweet but balanced, creamy as a dream, with those coffee cake bites adding just the right texture. Imagine drinking the leftover milk from a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch -- but better. Whoever invented this deserves a medal. And here's the twist: I later realized I had just inhaled a treat that was dairy free, gluten free, peanut free, soy free, and vegan. My mind was blown. I don't know what kind of ice cream sorcery Honey Bear is working with, but I do know this: it works. And they should never stop.

I wasn't looking for ice cream when my wife and I attended a concert at Riverfront Park in Harrisburg. But as we were walking towards the stage I saw the Honeybear Ice Cream food truck and was intrigued. Ho hum let's take a gander at that menu.... IT'S ALL VEGAN?! Ok, you got me, let's do this! Honeybear has an entirely vegan ice cream menu. These aren't your basic flavors. They've got fruit flavors, traditional ones and coffee. They've got mix ins. They've got root beer and coffee floats. They've got brownies and cookies. You getting my drift? This is inspired ice cream here. Honeybear has a menu of different ice cream combos. They also had a list of favorites from the people working. I went with the recommendation posted by Macy. It was coffee ice cream (which uses Harrisburg's own, Little Amps as the coffee), graham cracker mix in and chocolate shell on top. It is then topped with a cherry (a real one with a seed, no maraschino ones here). Incredible combo, incredible ice cream. Price wise Honeybear is consistent with other local vegan ice cream shops I've visited in Baltimore, Tampa and Denver.

I can see this being a much bigger draw in summer when the area is active and people are looking for an easy place to eat and drink. It was not very busy when we were there, but the layout felt like it could get cramped and difficult to navigate when the place is crowded. I do not know the origins of the restaurant, but it has that dropped in feel, like something that would fit just as easily near an outlet mall. It is a straightforward American bar and grill type stop. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing stood out either. If the sports bar vibe is your thing, you will probably enjoy it. For me, it is the kind of place I might return to, but mainly because it is convenient, not because it is memorable.
