This place started showing up in my social media feeds constantly. All day. Every day. Smoked meat? I'm listening. Smoked meat and homemade peanut butter pie? In the same building?! Immediate must-try status. I hatched a plan to visit on a chilly January Friday night, knowing they'd recently been selling out of items before their posted 7pm closing time. The target: 5:30pm. Risky enough to feel exciting, early enough to still secure smoked meat. A calculated move. Get Smok'd is located in a strip mall, and when I arrived, most of the front parking spots were full. Brief "oh no" moment...then I snagged a spot from someone pulling out and hustled inside. The dining room was much more spacious than it looked from outside, though many tables were already filled. I stepped up to the counter fully prepared--having studied both the menu and their social media all week in belly-growling anticipation. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with street corn and a fountain soda. Adventure Buddy went with the Lamb Gyro special, coleslaw, and a soda. Total for dinner came in around $40, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food. We timed it perfectly. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a large party of ~20 people walked in and filled a reserved table. More folks followed right behind them and suddenly the place was packed, buzzing, and running low on seats. Lamb Gyro: Fantastic. The smoke really came through on the lamb, and the tzatziki was super cucumber-forward, which Adventure Buddy loved. It was also a generous portion for the price--always appreciated. Street Corn: First off, the presentation was on point. The husk flared out like a little sunburst--very eye-catching. The cook on the corn was perfect, seasoning was just right, and the ear itself was a great size. Goldilocks corn. Coleslaw: This one missed the mark for us. The cabbage itself was fine, but the dressing was very bland and there was a lot of it--bordering on cold coleslaw soup territory. Not our thing, though it might work for some. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The pulled pork? Fabulous. Moist, juicy, perfectly smoky. I paired it with the Lawd That's Good traditional sweet sauce and ate every last bite of the meat. The roll, however, didn't live up to the pork--it felt like an odd mismatch. I skipped the bread and focused on the star of the show. Peanut Butter Pie: I...was not prepared. I did not expect a smoked meat joint to casually deliver one of the best peanut butter desserts I've had in a long time. This isn't a slice--this is a personal peanut butter pie. I'd guess 5-6 inches wide, about 1.5 inches thick, served in its own tin and piled high with whipped cream. This wasn't dessert--this was an entire second meal. At $10, it was worth every single penny, and I seriously debated ordering another. I will absolutely be back just for this pie. Overall, Get Smok'd BBQ earns a solid 5 stars from both me and Adventure Buddy. Friendly staff who checked in, meat smoked to perfection, and a peanut butter pie that completely stole the show. Good lawd! PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit later in the day, check Get Smok'd on social media first. They sell out. Early. Often. My friend and I ate there last night. Excellent. He had the 2 meat platter with 2 side dishes and said they were excellent. I had the double Patty smash burger with bacon and it was one of the best burgers I have had. There was also some homemade pickle Chips that were delicious. We split a PB pie. I hope they do coconut pie at some point. My only critique is the burger (all sandwiches) should come with potato chips. Or fries but I am thinking they don't have a fryer there. I didn't mind the price of the burger but the sides were too expensive for me to add. I just wanted something more with that burger. If that burger had Chips would be 5 stars. Amazing meats. We loved the brisket...so nice and juicy and very generous portions. The ribs were also delicious with a nice dry rub seasoning. We expected the loaded Mac and cheese to be mixed n but also very good. Mike, the owner, came out to check in on us because we ate outside due to the dog. He is So nice and it's great to know the care he puts into securing great meats to do his magic. The place is more like a deli inside with two picnic tables outside. I went there on Saturday, January 31, 2026, because I wanted to use my monthly cheat day to check out the ribs and mashed potatoes. The young lady at the register looked completely uninterested. Not rude or anything, but definitely not into her job at that time. She was rubbing her face, playing with her hair and looking at the ceiling. Maybe she had a headache? They were out of ribs. And I didn't see mashed potatoes on the menu. I got the nachos with pork instead and they were MEH. The portion size was large and they looked good, but they weren't anything to write home about. The best part was the pico de gallo. It looked fresh and tasted good. The chips looked (and tasted) like the little round chips that you buy in the mega huge plastic bag. Definitely not made in store. And the pork was a little dry. Not terrible, but a little disappointing. My sister got the gyro and really enjoyed it. These guys catered a party for us Thursday last week. I forgot to post my review. I know Texas style barbecue and this is first rate. The brisket was to die for - 9.9. Pulled pork very good - 8.8. Mac and cheese was different. I'm not a big mac and cheese guy, but this was a treat - 9.5. Their barbecue sauces were homemade and fantastic - another 9.9. I don't know if their brick and mortar food is as good as their catering business. They had to feed about 70 of us so they had a couple really big trays. Came here after 8yo son's basketball game in New Cumberland, another family joined us. It was a pleasant and clean atmosphere with a friendly staff. The owner was so friendly and informative, it was refreshing to not feel like a burden or be pushed through. We ordered Brisket tacos, Loaded nachos, street corn, baked beans, Mac and cheese and the happy wife dessert special. I can't remember everything our friends ordered, but no one left hungry or undersatisfied. All portions were massive, and delicious, his sauces were out of this world. The owner even heard my wife debating over the Smoked Turkey Rachel (but ended up ordering something else), and he still made us one for the table to try... Incredible. We were originally planning on taking a bite and taking the rest home, but we ended up eating everything on the spot. Brisket was so tender and there was a great amount of meat. I have never taken the time to write a negative restaurant/business review ever in my lifetime. This is a first.....I support local / small businesses and had hoped to provide Get Smok'd with business for an order for food to celebrate a 65th wedding anniversary party for 20 people. I started the process by contacting them 3+ weeks in advance with an initial phone call inquiry for food quote for 20 people. Never got a call back. Stopped in several days later and spoke with owner "Mike" and we worked up a menu. He promised a quote within a few days to 1-week. Never received a thing. Called in to check on status of quote/interest in my business....no call back received. Stopped in again 1-week before party event and "Mike" was out but promised a call back that day. I said hey, if too busy and not interested in business just let me know so I can come up with a plan B 1-week party. No call back. Absolutely horrible customer service. I went to Mission Barbecue and will continue to do so in the future. I'm sure Get Smok'd will plead personal matters which I was aware of and can respect, but manage your business and tell customers you can't support orders if too much going on. At least call them back and don't leave them hanging and stressing for another barbecue catering option 1-week before event. Sad and embarrassing. read more

This is great BBQ! I tried Get Smok'd at a food truck festival earlier today. I got the Better Than Their Brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Everything tasted good, but I thought it was pretty overpriced. They said it was a half-pound sandwich, but it was wimpy for $11. The traditional sauce was just okay. The real star of the show was the Happy Wife dessert (a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream, bacon, and caramel sauce). Delish! read more
