Everything was delicious except the rocks beans! They were just pork n beans with ground beef. Should have had a more open campfire taste I think.

Best bbq in central pa without question. The ribs are some of the best I've ever had regardless of region. Mac and cheese is also the bomb.

I love Rocky"s BBQ. The brisket is so good and tender. The ribs are off the chain delicious. I also like the Pork barbecue sandwich.

My mom said her chicken croquettes were really dry and she found prices of paper inside of them. Inside the bathroom there was something hanging out of the outlet beside the sink. Then she said, "you know who does great tuna salad? It's a diner over in Columbia!" But she couldn't remember right there what it was called. I googled diners in Columbia and I read back to her she shouted , "Black Olive"!!!! I'm here with two friends but didn't order tuna as it's breakfast and so I ordered eggs Benedict with turkey sausage instead of the Canadian bacon, and lemon on the side since I love my hollandaise sauce tangy. I get my order but not as I requested. Canadian bacon is in there and turkey sausage on a side plate. The hollandaise sauce looks like melted cheddar and no lemon on the side. Worst of all I cut into the poached eggs and they're too hard. Well I was just too disappointed in their skill level to ask them to redo. Our amazing waitress was trying to talk me into ordering something else if I didn't want a redo. She had a manager come by and I told him what I ordered and how I got it. It was ok I didn't want to trouble anyone. He insisted they'd get it right so I gave in. A few minutes later he presents me with jiggly poached eggs on top of turkey sausage and wedges of lemon. I will say I was impressed the second time around, though the hollandaise sauce needs work! Here's a quick blender recipe Ingredients: 3 egg yolks, 1 tbsp lemon juice, pinch salt, 1/2 cup hot melted butter. No need to make it from powder. You "can" taste the difference! Over all very happy with the cleanliness, service, attention and will be back mid March for that tuna sandwich. Mmm can't wait!

Still two steps over there. So in fact, there is no handicap access for someone in a wheelchair. Fortunately, I am able to use a cane and was able to ascend a few stairs to the interior. Inside is a small restaurant with a counter for ordering and a handful of tables for seating if eating there. We stood at the order counter several minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. In their defense, they were busy filling orders, placing to go orders on their warming area, and continuing to cook. Finally, the "cook" looked over & said, "I apologize for the wait, we'll will be with you in a minute." The young person who finally took our order seemed a bit inexperienced, but we weren't in much of a rush. Nevertheless, there still were several slip ups in our order. My wife ordered a BLT. When they asked if she wanted it on white or wheat, she said, "white, please, toasted and no onion." What she didn't realize (my wife) was that white or wheat meant a brioche style hamburger bun not traditional sliced bread. That was not clear until we asked after being served -- and were told they don't use "regular bread". Second hiccup in this order was that while the sandwich had a wonderful abundance of bacon... I mean a load!... Somehow they not only left off the onion but also was no tomato! It ended up being a bacon, lettuce and mayo sandwich on a bun. So back to the counter to ask them for several slices of tomato. (Apology accepted.) My order was for a Philly-style cheesesteak with Cooper cheese. It came very hot, juicy, and quite yummy. In fact, it was too big for me to finish. So once again, the general generosity with fillings and toppings was top-notch. Prices were very reasonable and I would encourage you to go and try it. If in the area, we likely will come back as well. As a side note, my wife worked as a server at this restaurant 68 years ago when she was a teenager! Different name back then for both the restaurant and for her. Fond memories.

Hinkle's Restaurant is an old-fashioned soda fountain and restaurant. Their menu has a little bit of everything - and so many classics: burgers and hot dogs, haddock, crab cakes, a fried oyster platter, liver and onions, sandwiches and wraps, salads, pierogis, all-day breakfast, and more. When I arrived this past Saturday for lunch, I asked for a seat the bar/counter, since I was enjoying a solo meal. The service at the counter was great - friendly, fast, helpful. I ordered the Old Fashioned Shifter ("a favorite of Pennsylvania Railroad workers; the Shifter is ham and cheese, lettuce, tomato, sweet pickle, and mayo"), fries, and a Lime Rickey. The sandwich was great - simple and delicious. The Lime Rickey wasn't my favorite - I thought it was just a bit too artificial-tasting and syrup-y (some fresh lime juice would've made a big difference). But overall, I enjoyed my meal! The restaurant itself has a lot of charm. You can see the history in the space, but its recent renovation also means that it's a very comfortable restaurant - historic but modern in the ways you want a restaurant to be, too. I enjoyed my meal here. I'd happily return!
