Came to visit my son and his family and decided to have lunch here again. I must say this place did not disappoint again!!! Upon entering we were greeted by the staff, everyone was warm and friendly. Our whole dining experience was very pleasant, from Judah who took our order to the staff tha prepared it, everyone made us feel appreciated!! Don and Tiana (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) went out of their way to make us feel at home. Don told us about his experience in the Navy, as my wife had mentioned to him that we were there before our son left for boot camp training in the army reserves. He also told us about all community services your restaurant provides, amazing! This will definitely be one of our "must stop" food places every time we visit! Mission BBQ in Camp Hill, PA catered the wedding reception for our daughter on July 12, 2026. There were 220+ guests. Mission BBQ was so helpful in planning the menu. They arrived on time and set everything up exactly as we wanted. Our bartender was late arriving which would have caused the drinks not to be iced down in time for the reception. Mission BBQ went to the store and bought ice to ice everything down even though it was not their responsibility. They provided their own serving tables and decorations which coordinated with the guest tables. At the end of the event, they boxed up all left-overs and cleaned everything up perfectly. We had an amazing experience yesterday at a wedding catered by Mission BBQ, Camp Hill. I am a bit of a bbq snob because i smoke a-lot of meats. All of the food from start to finish was amazing. Whomever came up with those mashed potato meat cups deserves some type of peace prize. The 4 young ladies working the event were extremely nice and professional. Have been to mission BBQ a few times before always a nice experience. Went with my nephew, and he decided to get the burger with a side of coleslaw and a drink for $15. I went with the 1/2 pulled chicken that was served with a piece of cornbread for $9. The coleslaw he was not a big fan of, and neither was I, I don't think it's something we would get again. He enjoyed the burger and said it was cooked perfectly and tasted really good, especially when he added smokey bbq sauce to it. My pulled chicken was a big portion, and for sure, I think it's worth the 9 bucks. I drenched it with their amazing bay bbq sauce, which Is bbq sauce with old bay it was to die for. Mission BBQ is a fan favorite of ours. They catered our wedding during COVID at a reasonable price. We love the moist brisket sandwiches, ribs, fries, and sweet tea. The smoky mountain sauce and sweet belle are my favorites. My husband likes the spicy ones. It's very patriotic which we like. I asked about the baby back ribs and spare ribs and since they overheard me they gave me samples without even asking. WHAT!!! Ok! Made my decision to get baby back. This is a much overdue thank you with all my heart to the staff, especially Kyle, who got me going in the right direction after I got lost coming from UPMC where my husband had been admitted as a patient. I am from out of town and didn't know my way around the suburbs of Harrisburg. Their concern and kindness was out of this world. However, this is not just a review about how they helped me. The food was marvelous and I left there with a large pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, excellent mac & cheese, and a cookie. It was basically a bag to-go back to the hotel (which they would not let me pay for) because I was so upset at the time. Kyle came out when I got into my car and made sure I had the right directions, which was invaluable. I wanted to pay for my food, but the staff insisted and said that it was Christmas time and they wanted to do something good for someone. The reason I chose Mission BBQ to stop and ask for help is because of their American flag that flies over their property. My husband is retired military and we have been to other Mission BBQs. My fiancé and I stopped in here for lunch - my fiancé wanted bbq, but I had brought in Jersey mikes from next door since I just had bbq the other day. One of the older gentlemen who worked there sat down next to us and asked how everything was. He noticed I didn't have a drink with my sub and offered to get me something on the house. Solid but not spectacular. I heard a lot about this place so I decided to give it a try. After all, barbecue and the Fourth of July go together marvelously - it's an American tradition! I tried quite a bit of food to get a good feel for them. Perhaps the most impressive part of the meal was the peach cobbler. Spoiler alert: when the dessert is better than the rest of the meal, we are not headed in a stellar direction. They offer two variations of brisket, essentially dry and wet. Get the dry version, it is much better. The ribs were solid but a bit over seasoned. The chicken was solid but a bit under seasoned. The green beans and baked beans were both good, and the potato salad was decent but not spectacular. Frankly nothing was bad, but nothing set my world on fire either beyond the peach cobbler, and a couple of the sides and the dry (they technically refer to it as lean) brisket are worth a repeat purchase. I'll go back, but they won't hit my top 10 regular rotation. read more

Sad to say tonight's meal was for the most part inedible. I have had take out from this restaurant 3 times since they opened several months apart. The first time was excellent. The second ok but not great. Tonight we threw away 8 of 10 baby back ribs not only because they were overcooked but the salt content made them inedible. I thought they didn't look good when the staff showed me before I took them and he said that's what they look like. We also had brisket which wasn't very good either. Most of that was thrown away as well. My Son was starving so he ate the two pieces of corn bread and the Mac n cheese which were good. I had a serving of Cole slaw and that was also good. But for $46 the meat should have been the star. I appreciate the mission of this restaurant and wish to support it but cannot with this kind of inconsistency. I wrote and erased this several times because I get that in these times things don't always go well. But my hope is that this will help them to make any changes needed. Brand new Mission Barbecue location in Camp Hill! Right on the corner of Market st where Route 15 hits Camp Hill, where the VA building used to be. The place looks great. It's a chain, so you'd expect that, but really well done. The parking lot is still under construction, most people probably don't think it's open yet, but it is! The pork and ribs are outstanding here. Brisket is very good, and all the sides are fresh and homemade. The sauces are probably my favorite part, great variety and excellent flavor - I think the Texas Twang and KC classic ones are my favorites. Also, the potato salad is excellent. Salad was actually good sized and fresh also. Hate to say it, but in my opinion, much better than Dickies, the other big BBQ chain. So happy we got them here in Camp Hill!!! read more
