REDD'S SAMPLER REVIEW (Includes two sides and cornbread)…read more Here's what I ordered and my honest ratings: Sweet Tea - 7/10 Good, but not quite that true Southern sweet tea flavor. Collard Greens - 7/10 A little more tangy than I prefer, but still decent. 1/4 Rack of Ribs - 8/10 Great flavor, just not falling off the bone like I personally like. Beef Brisket - 8/10 A different cut than I'm used to, but still flavorful. French Fries - 10/10 Crispy, hot, and easily the standout. Cornbread - 7/10 Didn't try it this time, but from a previous visit it leans a bit dry. Parking: Street parking available. It wasn't hard to find--we only had to walk about a block. Accessibility: There are steps to get to the second level (about two steps), so something to keep in mind. Amenities: There is a bathroom that's spacious and clean, with a changing table and wipes, which is a big plus. Atmosphere and Service: The staff was incredibly engaging and worked really well together. Depending on when you go, they may also have a small market set up. Overall, this was a top-tier experience, especially when it came to the service and overall environment.

The place smells amazing....just like a great Kansas City BBQ place would smell. I decided to go with the two meat plater with two sides. I picked smoked chicken breast and wings with Mac and cheese and baked beans. Chicken breast: you could taste the smoke with a good flavor but it was cut very thick and was pretty dry. It ripped apart as I was cutting it. 6/10 would not order again. Wings: PHENOMENAL! They were massive and very flavorful. 10/10 would order again. Macaroni and Cheese: Great side would pick again after trying all of the others. Baked Beans: would use as a staple side and order every time I went to this restaurant for food. Staff: They were amazingly welcoming, friendly , and helpful. Honestly I wish I would have ordered in the restaurant and ate there. The service would have been awesome based off of my limited interaction.

On a recent road trip, from Salisbury to Mocksville, Statesville, Mooresville, then back to…read moreSalisbury, we stopped at a remodeled garage/store when we saw a band playing in the front of the now bar/store. There were covered tables outside, for seating, and a food truck was set up next to the entertainment. We were looking for a local place to get a quick, late lunch. We really enjoyed the setting, on the old Main Street of Mocksville, NC. We looked over the menu for the food truck and decided to give it a try. We ordered the BBQ chicken, BBQ spare rib sandwich, and potato salad along with the macaroni and cheese, for our 2 sides. Because of an arrangement with the bar/store, we weren't able to purchase our drinks from them, but they did have a variety of sodas, water, and alcoholic drinks. Everything was delicious. I am not a big fan of red tomato BBQ sauce but the sauce was sweet, thick and tasty. The meat slid off the bones, and was very tender. We loved the potato salad, too. I guessed most of the ingredients, but there was something else in the salad that boosted the flavor! When asked what else she put in the salad, Kay responded, "the special ingredient is "LOVE." Eric and Kay, the owners, were great. They were friendly, answered all our questions about the food, and where they can be found in the area. Their phone number is included so you can find out where they are usually set up. With the increased prices for anything connected with food, it was a little high, but in line with all the other food trucks in our Piedmont, NC area. We recommend this mobile restaurant for anyone who loves BBQ and eating outside, on-the-go, or to take home! Thank you to Eric and Kay for adding to the enjoyment of our day out.

The place is beautiful, great styling and everyone looked so delighted to be there as they lunched on the terrace or they dined inside. I was greeted warmly by the hostess at the register. Great portions, thoughtful packaging for take out orders, , nice price point. The portions were generous and the flavors were nice. Both of us who ordered wished the food had a bit more salt and flavor, but overall it was a great meal and the short experiences from ordering on the phone to enjoying their food- we're all pleasant and charming.

We are fans of food trucks in general because of the unique experience they provide, the random foods you can try and we like to support the little guys! My wife and I both ordered the pulled pork sandwich and she also had the macaroni salad. The pulled pork was just okay, nothing amazing. It was bland and they don't offer and extras like slaw. There was nothing that made it stand out. There was a lot of pork on the sandwich though which was good. My wife really loved the macaroni salad, it was flavorful and yummy! We did not try anything else but the other couple we were with said they tried the pork nachos before we got there but didn't like them. They said they felt it was made with canned cheese sauce and did not have much pork. Our food was ready within a few minutes of ordering which is good fast service. We don't know where they are from but it appears they serve South Central PA and the Carlisle, Shippensburg area.

Our server was attentive and did a pretty good job of taking care of us. The only 'ding' that I will give this place is that the restaurant owner and some of his staff members and friends were very loud while working on their beer vats. They showed no consideration for their customers and, instead, seemed to be oblivious to the fact that most people eating in their restaurant wouldn't want to spend their lunchtime raising their voices just so that the person they were dining with could hear them. These guys were so loud and boisterous that, a few times, we just gave up on trying to chat with one another because there was zero chance that we could comfortably speak loudly enough to hear each other.

The steaks were okay -- they seemed tough and mine, for medium seemed slightly over cooked with hardly any pink inside and what there was was very light pinkish / brown color. Jenni said her steak was done to her satisfaction -- medium well. I would say mine was probably also medium well. My steak had a lot of fat and gristle that I didn't eat. The mashed potatoes were amazing. My asparagus seemed stingy in size and number of stalks and added little taste or filling to my plate. Jenni said her green beans were okay. The iced tea was great. My Pepsi didn't taste flavorful though Alyssa said she checked the soda bags and they were full. I swapped for sweetened ice tea. Alyssa was a super friendly server who checked on us regularly. We want to patronize local businesses but we probably wouldn't get our meals again and would try something else. Jenni said she'd rate our experience as a 2.5 which is exactly what I'd give so we're going to round up since maybe our experience was just a little off this evening.
