This place started showing up in my social media feeds constantly. All day. Every day. Smoked meat?…read moreI'm listening. Smoked meat and homemade peanut butter pie? In the same building?! Immediate must-try status. I hatched a plan to visit on a chilly January Friday night, knowing they'd recently been selling out of items before their posted 7pm closing time. The target: 5:30pm. Risky enough to feel exciting, early enough to still secure smoked meat. A calculated move. Get Smok'd is located in a strip mall, and when I arrived, most of the front parking spots were full. Brief "oh no" moment...then I snagged a spot from someone pulling out and hustled inside. The dining room was much more spacious than it looked from outside, though many tables were already filled. I stepped up to the counter fully prepared--having studied both the menu and their social media all week in belly-growling anticipation. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with street corn and a fountain soda. Adventure Buddy went with the Lamb Gyro special, coleslaw, and a soda. Total for dinner came in around $40, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food. We timed it perfectly. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a large party of ~20 people walked in and filled a reserved table. More folks followed right behind them and suddenly the place was packed, buzzing, and running low on seats. Lamb Gyro: Fantastic. The smoke really came through on the lamb, and the tzatziki was super cucumber-forward, which Adventure Buddy loved. It was also a generous portion for the price--always appreciated. Street Corn: First off, the presentation was on point. The husk flared out like a little sunburst--very eye-catching. The cook on the corn was perfect, seasoning was just right, and the ear itself was a great size. Goldilocks corn. Coleslaw: This one missed the mark for us. The cabbage itself was fine, but the dressing was very bland and there was a lot of it--bordering on cold coleslaw soup territory. Not our thing, though it might work for some. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The pulled pork? Fabulous. Moist, juicy, perfectly smoky. I paired it with the Lawd That's Good traditional sweet sauce and ate every last bite of the meat. The roll, however, didn't live up to the pork--it felt like an odd mismatch. I skipped the bread and focused on the star of the show. Peanut Butter Pie: I...was not prepared. I did not expect a smoked meat joint to casually deliver one of the best peanut butter desserts I've had in a long time. This isn't a slice--this is a personal peanut butter pie. I'd guess 5-6 inches wide, about 1.5 inches thick, served in its own tin and piled high with whipped cream. This wasn't dessert--this was an entire second meal. At $10, it was worth every single penny, and I seriously debated ordering another. I will absolutely be back just for this pie. Overall, Get Smok'd BBQ earns a solid 5 stars from both me and Adventure Buddy. Friendly staff who checked in, meat smoked to perfection, and a peanut butter pie that completely stole the show. Good lawd! PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit later in the day, check Get Smok'd on social media first. They sell out. Early. Often. Don't waste a trip just to find locked doors and shattered BBQ dreams. This place is hot right now--and very much worth the visit if there's still smoked meat left to be had!

I had the double Patty smash burger with bacon and it was one of the best burgers I have had. There was also some homemade pickle Chips that were delicious. We split a PB pie. I hope they do coconut pie at some point. My only critique is the burger (all sandwiches) should come with potato chips. Or fries but I am thinking they don't have a fryer there. I didn't mind the price of the burger but the sides were too expensive for me to add. I just wanted something more with that burger. If that burger had Chips would be 5 stars. Highly recommend this place. I look forward to eating there again.

I believe Michelle (the owner) was our server, she is very personable and very sweet. They even have Hershey chocolates on all the tables so there are treats available for any of their guests. We ordered the bibimbap, pork mandu, seafood jeon (pancakes), japchae, Yangnyum chicken, and pork belly with cheese (I over order, every time, all the time ). The bibimbap and pork mandu I didn't try, but my cousin did enjoy it, the seafood jeon was delicious--seafood wasn't over cooked and it was not salty. The japchae noodles seemed a little over cooked, they didn't have the springiness I expect when I chew. Thr Yangnyum chicken was .. well, a little too breaded and fried and not what I expected at all. The sauce was a mix of sour and sweet salty spicy but not like a traditional Korean sweet and sour--I did not care for it at all (seemed Americanized?)--hard pass. The pork belly and cheese was amazing, imagine pork belly and chewy rice kicks in the most amazing not-too-spicy sauce paired with ooey gooey cheese. This alone was worth the trip! Soooo good. I just wished the baby was more cooperative during our dine in so we could have eaten more while it was piping hot. The amazingness of a few of these dishes really still makes this place five stars, especially with the awesomeness of a wonderful server/hostess/owner! I may not make it back here for a year or two but this place is definitely recommended for someone looking for Korean food.

You've got to head…read moreeither to Philly or Maryland for other options, which I only learned when my niece and nephew shared that they wanted to try hot pot for the first time. KPot is truly a gem! The atmosphere is modern with urban vibe decor. It's a cool place. And the service is excellent, from beginning to end. Our server helped us select our broth and gave us newcomers a lay of the hot pot land. You can order your hot pot add-ins by tablet on table-- and the food comes out without delay. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which our tablet selections were delivered to the table. Now onto the food and drink. We ordered the strawberry lemonade and regular milk teas. The strawberry lemonade was sweet but not overly so- very refreshing. And the kiddos reported that the milk teas was delicious. Now- onto the hot pot experience, which was so much fun! For broths, we tried the tomato, miso, and the spicy tom ka gha, which were all packed with flavor. Yum. KPot has a wide variety of meats and add ins for your hot pot. We tried the ribeye, brisket, beef tongue, pork, lamb, shumai, goyoza, octopus, eggplant, ramen, potato, and udon noodles. The beef tongue and the lamb were my favorites. But there was much more to try, we really only scratched the surface. I should also add that along with the all you can eat hot pot, there is also a little buffet with appetizers, desserts, and sauces. The kiddos enjoyed the freezer with ice cream options. KPot offers an all around well done hot pot experience in a cool atmosphere with fabulous service. I am certain we will be back next time I'm in the area. I'd say it is absolutely worth a visit.

While fun, that combination can be overwhelming for first-timers--some guidance would have helped. The food was tasty overall, but most of the BBQ meats were bland unless you chose the marinated options. Sauces were definitely needed. There's an appetizer bar with fried foods, fruit, rice, and a salad and sauce bar, which helped round out the meal. Drinks were mediocre. Service and communication were the biggest issues. When we arrived, I informed the hostess of our party size and that the rest of my group was in the parking lot. When asked if we were on a wait, she told us there was no wait. Despite that, we stood there for about 15 minutes with no explanation while multiple groups who arrived after us were seated first. I eventually had to remind the hostess that we were still waiting. We were then taken to the party room, which had several open and clean tables. Instead of seating us at an open and clean table, they had us wait 3 more mins to finish cleaning a table that just left for us to sit at. Our server did the bare minimum--dropping off drinks and occasionally clearing plates. For a first-time experience with both hot pot and BBQ, it would have been helpful if the server checked in, explained the process, or offered assistance. Food runners were not particularly pleasant and didn't explain what dishes they were placing on the table. There was an 18% gratuity included on the bill and our server did not deserve it. Final thoughts: KPOT delivers variety and value, but poor communication and minimal service took away from what could have been a much better experience--especially for a large group. I might return with a smaller group, but with low expectations.

SEE UPDATE at end…read more Ordered in the app. 15 bone in wings Lg Mac and cheese Paid on line. Got phone call while heading to store and was told they are out of bone in wings! Would boneless be ok. I said ok but what about the price difference? They would give extra wings to make up for the price difference. Got to store. 15 bone in wings $21.49 15 boneless wings $12.49 $9.00 difference. At store was told they had prepared me 18 wings!!! WHAT??? Should have been 25-26 boneless to balance out the price. They were offering 3 boneless wings for $9!!!!!! First AND LAST time here. Usually go to the Dickeys in Mechanicsburg. Never any issues. This place is a joke. They are supposed to fully refund me. $25 on gift card I used and $6.11 on Visa card. We will see. AVOID this place. Counter person absolutely no help and no manager on duty. UPDATE: That evening I got $6.11 credit on CC and my gift card was refunded BUT only $15 and not the full $25. Called Monday and spoke with the manager Brandon. Very pleasant conversation. He apologized for missing the $10 credit and said he would take care of it. Admitted there was a miscommunication between himself and the employee as to what I should have been receiving wing wise. Said he would address the situation. I thanked him for his handling of the issue and agreed to give them another try. Will try to remember to post update about next visit. 2nd UPDATE After positive experience with Brandon (manager/owner) we decided to try them again. Got the 2/$29 2 meat plate special Ordered on the app again. Order was ready and waiting for me on time. Tried 4 different meats Pulled pork, 2 different types of kielbasa, and ribs. Ribs were slightly dry but did fall off the bone. All 3 other meats were great. Mac and cheese was wonderful. The Texas toast was really good. So I did up the review from a one star to a 3 stars and we will order from them again. Just caught them on a bad day with some poor communication between staff but overall, management made things smooth.

It was very disappointing, I was looking forward to a loaded potato but ended up with more of a naked potato. We did reach out with no reply or response, obviously there wasn't much they could do once the food was delivered but a sorry goes a long way. One of the reason we ordered from here was due to having them having a delivery incentive, or I don't think I would have. I believe their food can be pricey. Over all I was impressed that the food wasn't dry and reheated nicely.

This little hole-in-the-wall sits on the backside of a rivertown, serving up old-school vibes and seriously good pizza. The dough and sauce are made in-house, and you can taste it -- crust was crisp yet airy, with a buttery richness and just enough chew to make each bite satisfying. Sauce had a bit of spice, cheese was bubbly, browned, and full of real-deal flavor (no sad, fake cheese here). Toppings? Plentiful and delicious. We came dangerously close to finishing the whole pie, stopping only two slices short. For drinks, my adventure buddy went classy with an Old Fashioned (good, but nothing to write home about -- and the bar's lack of Luxardo cherries made him sad), while I kept it real with a draft Miller Lite. The beer was cold and clean -- and honestly, from a hole-in-the-wall bar, that's something I appreciate. Bartender doubled as our waitress and handled it like a pro, even on a slow Monday night. The place is dark and cozy, decorated with lots of '50s-inspired artwork, and apparently has a rooftop bar -- sadly closed during our summer date night. The bill came to $42 for the pizza, two drinks, and a tip -- budget-friendly date night win. No on-site parking, but plenty of free curb spots out front or municipal lots a block away. Safe area for an after-dark stroll. If you're into unpretentious spots serving pizza that punches above its weight, Fratelli's is your jam.
