Great place to visit. Located in the city so parking could be a challenge. There are some spots along the street and also a garage nearby. Check the on street parking kiosk for prices/hours. There is a huge staircase to get up to the speakeasy once you find the red door. The website says there is an elevator if needed. Once inside, you will immediately get the speakeasy vibe with the moody and dark decor, as well as the period appropriate lighting and seating options. There's some small intimate areas, as well as a main bar, a side seating bar area, and a back area with tables and chairs. I would recommend reservations. You can pick the bar or lounge when making reservations on their website. From the moment you enter, you will get terrific service. The host was great and we were early for our reservation, but we were seated at the bar as requested. As soon as we sat down, the bartender greeted us with waters and a sample of a bourbon punch. The entire visit was filled with very attentive staff who were always friendly and knowledgeable about the offerings on the menu. The drinks are well thought out and very good. The quality of the ingredients, as well as the flavor profiles work well. It is very difficult to pick from their crafty menu. We tried a total of 4 drinks and all were delicious. Highly recommend the Papucho - such an excellent mix of flavors that are well balanced and a very unique flavor. Honestly, not sure you will find one drink on this menu that isn't delicious. They do offer a menu of various foods. We ordered the octopus and the roasted monk fish. Both were fantastic. The servings are not big so be prepared to order dental dishes or just come with the intention of not getting a massive meal. They are good portions for a small dinner or think tapas. Returned either a group of friends, for their first time! So glad this place continues to impress going forward. Our server was amazing (I wish I remembered his name!), the food was delicious, and the drinks never fail to impress. The only issue we have every time we go is that they unfortunately always run out of a few dishes on the menu (and always seems to be the ones we want)! In addition, calling the restaurant has been difficult, it has often gone straight to voicemail for me. For that reason make sure to make reservations ONLINE (that has never failed). I was thoroughly impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. There is a speakeasy vibe, opening up into a very classy space with traditional decor and slight modern touches. The staff were friendly but there may have been a shortage at the time. The drinks selection was impressive, and crafted with care. Conway was great! I sat in the lounge with my party which is great for cocktails and small bites but would recommended the dining room if you're getting a full dinner. The vibe is classic lounge, dimly lit and nice decor. We know two of the servers (Sam and Joe) from another restaurant and they are absolutely lovely. Very knowledgeable and personable. Heard about this speakeasy-style bar and decided to go for cocktails before dinner. It was a short walk from our hotel. The door isn't really obvious at first, but we were able to find it from the descriptions. The bar wasn't busy thankfully, and we were warmly greeted. We loved the unique drink menu, and the bar itself is sophisticated and classy. The bartenders are knowledgeable and even gave us dinner recommendations. This place is a gem! It's has a speakeasy lounge vibe and was a really fun place to sit back and hang out. I went for a girls night with my sisters and we sat at one of the lounge tables, it was really nice we had a couple drinks and ate dinner. The service was great, and we were able to hang out and didn't feel rushed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. Came here near opening time on a Thursday to avoid the rush. The place has a very nice speakeasy theming, apparent from the moment you walk in thru a lightly labeled red door and up a set of stairs, then enter into their beautifully decorated restaurant area. They have a large drink list of very unique mixed drinks, and the bartenders were happy to help me choose ones that I'd like. Their food menu is limited, and what I got was very good, but the portion size was pretty small for what I paid. This was the only thing holding it back from 5 stars. This place will be a new go-to for me and my crew! We were welcomed with a little sample drink from the bartender, such a nice and simple gesture. Food was outstanding, we ordered a bunch of shareables for the table to be able to taste a lot of things, and nothing disappointed. The roasted squash and potatoes were a favorite. The food here was really good. We got a flatbread and chicken liver pate and the fish sticks. Everything was delicious. The drink menu is really interesting. Everything we tried was great. While sitting at the bar a couple came in and was seated next to us. It was their anniversary and the bartender congratulated them when they were seated. The woman did not look happy. They were given two glasses of complimentary champagne, proceeded to argue and leave without ordering anything or leaving a tip. Reopening night (and my first time)! The entrance is separate from Annie Bailey's, there is a huge door knocker, and traditional to a speakeasy, you need to knock three times in order to enter. Once you walk up a somewhat steep flight of stairs, you are required to hand sanitize and have your temperature taken. The curtains are pulled back and you enter a dimly lit space. Intimate and romantic, smaller dining areas that make for a more cozy dining experience, and lovely plush velvet seating at the bar. All COVID guidelines are being strictly followed. There are socially distanced seats at the bar as well as dining areas. All staff wears masks and plexiglass shields installed at the bar. QR code and reservations required. If you love a good cocktail, this is the place! Probably the best cocktails I've had in Lancaster. Different than what you'll find at any other restaurant. We were the only guests at the bar, so we had ample time to conversate with the mixologist and he was fantastic! Very friendly, polite, welcoming and personable. He took the time to answer questions we had about certain ingredients, explained the process of how he creates his different concoctions (like the Sweet Pea Hydrosol) and even showed us a video. All of the cocktails are complex, robust and beautifully presented. We only had the Burrata Salad and Truffle Mac & Cheese Cube, but both were delicious. The burrata was fresh and I enjoyed the pairing of beets and orange & balsamic. Overall, we had an exceptional experience! I was a little apprehensive because I'm not a huge fan of Annie's, but I love how Conway Social has a totally different vibe. There are absolutely no similarities between the two locations. So happy to find the Social Club. What a great atmosphere inside! Just getting in puts a smile on your face as you know your in for a good time. My wife and I just wanted to stop in for drinks before dinner. Someone was blocking the doorway in, so we passed it twice. You will notice the small plaque and fox door knocker. We did not have a reservation, but they were happy to seat us at the bar. It is a dark, speakeasy vibe. The cocktail and spirit list are long and extensive. The bar is beautiful and had some of the most comfortable bar chairs we have sat on. The drinks were well presented and delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit so we can include dinner. The entrance to the bar is a single black door with a single green light bulb that is lit when they are open. You knock on the door and the host will unlock the door and guide you up the stairs to the speakeasy. It's dark and intimate upstairs with old style social club decor. You're given a free drink sampler once seated. Our bartender was super attentive and gave awesome recommendations. It took us a few minutes to read through the drinks menu which were sorted by unique themes such as garden. They are all unique and beautifully crafted. We ordered mussels as a snack and they were the most succulent and fresh mussels in the states. The coconut sauce that it came in wasnt as much of a curry but more of a crème soup which was delicious on its own. We didnt order anymore food but everything looked so good so we'll definitely be back for dinner as well. Loved this intimate spot, will definitely be back for another date night. read more

Conway Social Club The other day, I went out with some friends, and they took me to Conway Social Club. I have never been, and mind you, I am new to Lancaster. It took me about 10 minutes to find the door/sign because it is obscure. When you are looking for the door, it's a red door, and the sign is on the left inside; you will not see it from the sidewalk. I did not see an elevator, so I don't think it is handicap accessible, so if you cannot walk upstairs, I do not recommend going. However, the ambiance was charming. It felt like I was part of a social club that was a membership only, so that already met my expectation. The menu is exciting, but they do not have a large selection. I ordered the cauliflower tempura, which was good. I ordered a steak with fries and a salad as my main entree. I was impressed with the steak as it was well-seasoned and cooked medium-rare. The fries were great, and I did not care for the salad too much. The drinks were phenomenal. I forgot which drinks I ordered, but you can see them from the photos I posted for this review. I was up from Tennessee visiting family. My sister in law and her husband took me here for dinner one night. I love the speakeasy vibe you get from knocking on the secret door to walking up the stairs into a dimly lit room with curtains to hide it from first view. The decor is perfect for making you feel like you're in a private study in someone's house. I loved it! The night we went was a Wednesday night and it was very quiet in the restaurant with not many guests there. We didn't mind it at all but my SIL said that was very unusual compared to how busy it usually is. Our waitress greeted us promptly and brought us an apéritif which was a peachy bourbon based drink. I usually don't care for brown liquors but this was delicious with a nice balance of tasting the stronger liquor and the sweetness from the fruit. She was very polite and took care of us well. She gave us a moment to look over the menus. I think the idea of making the cocktail menu read like a book and categorize the drinks into chapters based on what they're made from is genius. My brother-in-law ordered a single scotch neat, my SIL ordered the Fallow Fields (chapter 3: meadow) and I ordered Baker Street (also chapter 3). We all enjoyed our drinks! I tried some of my SIL's drink and it was one I would also order and happily drink next time. We ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer to share. We chose the Brie and Gouda cheeses and the prosciutto and spicy coppa meats. The board is HUGE! It had 4 thick slices of bread, apple slices, honey, berries, fermented veggies (they were one of my favorite things since they had a nice spicy flavor to them!), and a generous portion of the meats and cheeses. We probably could have shared this as our meal with how satisfying it was; but we really wanted to try some of their dishes! I ordered the Grain Bowl small plate. It was still a big portion that was absolutely amazing! I could have kept eating and eating because of how the flavors blended together nicely! My SIL got the Gnocchi Sardi. I couldn't try a bite since I'm allergic to mushrooms, but she enjoyed it! Then, my BIL got the flatbread as his appetizer and the Salmon dinner on the 2 for $40 menu. He had one slice of the flatbread since it was also about the same size as the charcuterie board--so it was big enough to be his full meal. He saved the rest to take home so he could eat his salmon (which he said was good but cooked just a minute or two under what his personal preference is). We had such a great time here and everything we ordered was made perfectly and tasted absolutely delicious. I hope I get to return when I visit Lancaster again! read more

The first thing I noticed about this place was the very 1920s cozy library style and feel of the decor that they have going. The bar seats where the comfiest bar seats I have ever sat in! The whole set up is very intimate. Which I loved. The bartenders were top-tier! Super chill, cool, and friendly. Not only did they have amazing personalities but were extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and menu and let me tell you these were not just any regular cocktails they were pure ART. Totally worth the pice which was an average about $15. They also had a secret menu that was hidden within books with a QR code that you could scan (which I thought was super cool!) this menu had pricier drinks... like drinks that were hundreds of dollars which I declined lol but hey if that's your thing ask for that menu! They also have food which we regrettably did not get to try because we had come to this place right after dinner somewhere else but we saw a few people order and the food looked delicious! We did get to try a complementary chocolate mousse dessert that the friendly bartenders gave us at the end of the night and that was really great! I ordered a drink when we got our food and we didn't get it till well after the food was finished. Also cocktails were served with garnish on the side. Garnish for a cocktail should be served in the drink because as you are drinking the citrus/cherry/whatever aromas are to be there to enhance the drink. You are a place with a cocktail menu roughly 3 to 4 times the size of your regular menu and you don't know this??? Food was fine nothing epic nothing terrible except the over cooked gnocchi.
