The bartenders are always friendly and the service is quick . The music is usually a sort of open mike night, but you will usually find the same musician(s) there every time. They are definitely attempting to create a hippie lounge atmosphere, and the clients follow que. It is a comfortable scene in here usually. Aside from the main bar room, there is an additional area in the back to dine in a bit more privacy. The menu selections and drinks are overpriced. The food is okay, nothing spectacular, my favorite item is the red bean hummus. If your looking for a casual night out downtown First Cap is a good pick.

Other places are catching up with adding Troegs and a few Victory bottles, which is GREAT, but none can match the fun (albeit a little stagnant at times) cooler of craft beer from California to PA. Service is....well, the service is friendly if you have been there a few dozen times. I can see how a first timer can see it as being a bit chaotic, but don't let that stop you- ask anyone at the bar for help and they'll flag the bartenders for you. Live music via a great group of local musicians on Monday and a variety of acts the rest of the week. I hear the burgers are great, too.

Holy crap. I had not been in this location since it was the Alpine Inn and wow...times have changed…read morefor the better. Horn Pub features a big bar and equally large dining areas. My companion and I didn't sample the menu, but everyone around us was eating and clearly enjoying their meals and the dining spaces were FULL on an early Friday evening. To ne, that speaks volumes. For what appears to be a "divey" bar from the outside, Horn has a pretty solid list of drafts, cans, and bottles. My companion is a wine drinker but found a pinot grigio that suited her. Service was fast and friendly at the bar, and tge crowd (definitely local and regular) was also super friendly. Give Horn Pub a try! It's a.great reminder of what a good local spot can be.

However, after she brought our drinks she didn't come to check on us for over 30 minutes. She took another food table order, 10 feet from us that arrived after us. Another table that had only ordered food after we sat down received their food before we could order food. This waitress said "I have help now. She'll be right here". Our new waitress was super nice. So we ordered our wings and appetizers. By 1300, we still did not have our appetizers of pickle chips or any of our food. When we received our food, it was pretty decent, and our second waitress made our visit more pleasant but will most likely not come back.

The bar is a bit cramped at times but luckily they had a good amount of tables. During Happy Hour the day I was there (Saturday) the well drinks are $2.50 I couldn't believe it. The margarita was $7 all day and mine was nice and tasty. The clientele there could be a bit immature and annoying, I hope they're good at spotting fake IDs. there were a few chicks next to me and my girlfriend at the bar and they kept talking (yelling) to each other and discussing loudly about, some inappropriate things that a drinking college girl would discuss. The bartender was great, attentive and definitely knows how to make drinks. I couldn't speak on the food as I only got drinks but I was really regretting not ordering that $2 grilled cheese. I'd recommend this bar to anyone looking for cheap drinks or food in the area, especially if going to York College.

Front bar is good for sitting around with a few friends and talking while the back bar is for dancing. Biggest downfall-- Still allows SMOKING! Be prepared to set aside clothing you don't want to wear anywhere else outside the bar, because leaving Murph's you smell like a smokestack. Best quality-- You come to know everyone there on Saturday nights (And Wednesday's for 50 cent drafts, which if rumor is correct is now 75 cent drafts. Shame)
