Mudhook Brewing is a cool place, rustic modern brewery style. While there, I only tried one beer (at this point I was full on liquids from a brewery tour and Mudhook was the last stop). It was the Cherry Lane Strong Ale, and it was just OK. What knocked my socks off was their cake dessert with plenty of ice cream and whipped cream. I ate everything and was super happy about it. Service was good and easy.

I had lunch at Mudhook a few months ago after visiting Central Market. My friend's B-I-L suggested lunch at Mudhook since I enjoy craft beer. For a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty slow in there. I started with the Maverick Marzen which I really enjoyed. That was my first time trying a Marzen. For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap with chips. The wrap could have used more dressing because it was a bit dry. The chips were meh. The meal didn't wow me, but it was okay. Our server was a no frills, cut to the chase type. She did fine, but wasn't overly personable. She was just there to do her job and keep it moving. The whole experience wasn't very memorable (hence the short review), but I would return (more so for the beer, not the food).

We really enjoyed our time here at Mudhook Brewery. The atmosphere is really cool. There is a great patio as well. We grabbed a couple of beers and we both really enjoyed our choices. The bartender was very friendly and we sat and chatted with her for a while. They have a speakeasy upstairs but unfortunately, they were not open. Sounds like a good reason to come back!

During a quick trip to York, my friends and I ran in for a bite to eat around 1:30pm on a Sunday. The staff was incredible. We told them we only had 45 minutes and they delivered! They were efficient and brought out of food nice and hot. Because we were in a rush, they brought out checks out and said to take as much time as we need, but wanted to make sure we could pay when we wanted. The manager or owner came up to us too towards the end of our meal to make sure everything came out fast enough which was sweet. The vibes inside and out are so cool. I love a fun dive and the beach setup for outside plus the shaded patio seating were so cool! I love when there are diverse seating options. Inside you could sit at the bar, high top, or regular table! It was quiet and had tvs around the room. It was the perfect balance between smaller town and strong community. I got the chicken fingers and fries and my 3 friends each got a different burger. I tried 2 of them and they were incredible. The Fried Pickle Burger is the way to go. The fries I had with my chicken were amazing- perfectly crunchy and soft! I can't recommend this place enough! Great dining experience!

It is a place that feels like a pub where everybody knows your name. Of course I am a mug club member. I really like their beer. The food is pub fair, I think some of the best burgers in York. The hot dogs are definitely the best, even though they took off the German dog... Great people and staff, and if you are there at the right time you get to join in on a sing along of Billy Joel's Piano Man.

This place is super cute in downtown York and has a great outdoor area for a cooler day (we were there in 95 degree heat so sat inside). They have a large beer and food list. The beer was subpar at best- it tasted very watery. My boyfriend and I both had flights so were able to try 8 different beers, and they all had the same consistency/taste of water at the end. They weren't absolutely horrible, but I wouldn't make the trip to go back for the beer. The food was great and your typic pub food! We shared the Buffalo chicken dip and then got a cheeseburger and a salad which we both enjoyed. Overall- a cute place in downtown York but I'm not absolutely in love with it!

Their hog wings are the best I've ever had, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The cheese steaks are also incredibly tasty!

Live music via a great group of local musicians on Monday and a variety of acts the rest of the week. I hear the burgers are great, too.
