The food was good though the atmosphere was a bit more rustic than I expected from the photos. The upstairs dining area is small and they were seating people downstairs in a tent like area. read more

Great restaurant in the area when visiting Hershey. Modern, great cocktails. Loved the variety. Delicious food and wonderful service. Go for the bone in pork chop as its tender and tasty. Good fresh oysters and fresh salads. Friendly and makes us all feel welcome. The wood fired smoked items are the hidden gem. The smoked pork belly or brisket was wonderful. Will be back when in the area. read more

Knocks it out of the park! Everything from service to quality was great. We enjoyed the cheese plate, bruschetta, & oysters to start, and the scallops & pork for the main. All my drinks were great: espresso martini, margarita, French 75. Dessert was an incredible snickerdoodle crème brûlée. Missed a star because we were originally sat in the far downstairs corner behind a loud party of several families. We indicated it was our anniversary on the reservation and they acknowledged it when we checked in. I would hope for a bit of consideration as to the occasion, since it was early in the night and they had lots of open space. However, we asked if we could move somewhere quieter and they happily took us to the top floor. It was a great ambiance up there. Will be back! read more

Fresh oysters awesome. Service just ok. To compare to other Hershey restaurants this place is just ok.

Tucked away in a sublime blend of history and culinary artistry, The Mill emerges as an unmissable epicurean sanctuary. The structure is an elegant tapestry of stone and wood, reminiscent of the establishment's bygone mill heritage. The outdoor patio at The Mill is a serene oasis that seamlessly marries modern comfort with rustic charm. As you step outside, the warmth of a fire-lit area beckons you to unwind, its flickering flames casting a soft, ethereal glow on the surroundings. The bar itself is a striking masterpiece, built with a stone facade that pays homage to the venue's historical roots. With comfortable seating and an atmosphere imbued with an unhurried sense of time, it's the perfect space for lingering conversations or simply soaking up the enchanting environment. Whether you're savoring a finely crafted cocktail or simply basking in the firelight, the patio serves as a tranquil backdrop for an evening of relaxed sophistication. The interior gleams with a newly-restored bar with an old time rustic feel, underscoring the notion that tradition and modernity can coalesce in complimentary ways. Descending into the secondary bar and dining room is akin to stepping back in time, while still enveloped in contemporary comforts. The room exudes a wood-fired, living quarters ambience, fortified by the stone and wood foundation--the quintessence of rustic sophistication. The Whipped Brie board was not just a dish but an experience in and of itself. The texture of the whipped Brie defies description--think airy, pillowy clouds of dairy intermingling with the perfect crisp of Brie chips. This exquisite spread was enlivened by homemade Blueberry Jam, a drizzle of fresh farm honeycomb, and a sprinkling of seasonal fruits. The Mediterranean Board was a tour-de-force of flavors. Halloumi cheese--renowned for its high melting point--was fried to a perfect balance of creamy and crispy textures, offering a fragrant juxtaposition. The Lamb Meatballs were a revelation, divested of the customary gaminess but retaining their intrinsic richness. The Spanakopita, a Greek delicacy consisting of spinach and feta cheese wrapped in phyllo pastry, was flaky and flavorful. The dish was brought together by the "Everything Hummus," featuring a harmonious blend of Everything Seasoning, Onion Jam, Crudite, Grilled Pita, and Olives--a Mediterranean orchestra on a plate. Every dish was elegantly presented on wooden spherical trays, the visible tree rings adding an organic touch that echoed the restaurant's natural aesthetic. The House Smoked Pork Belly, adorned with Brussel Slaw and Walnuts, was a triumphant experiment in seasoning and smokiness, while the Braised Short Rib was a culinary sonnet of softness and savoriness, enhanced but not overwhelmed by its accompaniments. Although the Caesar Salad was not the star of the show, it added a subtle, balancing note to the rich ensemble. However, the pièce de résistance was the Five Layer Short Rib Lasagna. Here, every layer was a revelation, woven together by Braised Short Rib, Pepperoni, Tomato Ragout, and Toasted Bread--each bite was an interplay of savory complexity and textural diversity. Concluding the meal with a nightcap of Frangelica and coffee was akin to the closing act in a well-orchestrated symphony, leaving an indelible resonance of satisfaction. In summary, The Mill offers an unrivaled dining experience, harmonizing its rich history with a tantalizing menu that delivers on both innovation and taste. It's not just a meal; it's an evocative journey deserving of acclaim and repeat visits. read more

The service was great and the food delicious. Cocktails are creative like the Spiced Cranberry Old Fashioned. The sliced brisket was amazing. So much food I couldn't finish it. Great look and ambiance. read more

Be prepared to pay NYC prices for unimpressive food. Service is ok. Food is nicely presented and the ingredients are fine, but taste is bland. Owners of the restaurant pay rural PA rent yet charge NYC prices. Ambiance of the restaurant is a nice rustic (hence 2 stars instead of 1). When you are paying the bill, they bring you a device and the tip options are 20, 22, and 24%. No thanks! read more

Went here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Place waaa very busy and while the atmosphere was nice, food was so-so and service wasn't the greatest. Highly recommend a reservation versus a walk in like we did. Burger was decent, fries were good but we could have done without the queso. read more

When you first get here you have to walk up a whole bunch of flights of stairs to get to the main entrance. We waited for about 5 minutes for the hostess to get back from seating people on the patio which is back down again. It didn't take long for us to place our order. I ordered the chicken flat bread. I heard someone else order it and she asked for no Jalapeño but the server told her that it's pre made and they can't remove anything. So I started to wonder if they make it here or if it comes to them frozen. When I got mine you could see that it had fresh jalapeño on it. The taste was good but you could tell it was microwaved. The flat bread was not crispy like it would be if it had been in the oven. It seems they microwave it and then put fresh sliced jalapeño on it. Quite disappointed with this place and probably will not return. I have it 3 stars because the wait staff was friendly and my wife enjoyed her brisket. read more

Staff: walked in on bottom floor & read the sign to go upstairs. We looks lost. A gentleman with an iPad greeted us in a friendly manner. We didn't need to go upstairs. I had made reservations so he looked it up and sat us down. Amazing! Our waiter was prompt and friendly. Drinks: Delicious and perfectly done Food: brisket, Mac & cheese with Brussels sprouts was delicious. I had to take the leftovers home. My husband enjoyed his burger & fries. Dessert: snickerdoodle crème brûlée was absolutely delicious! Get this! Atmosphere: I love this old industrial with beautiful stone structure. The waiter gave me information about this Mill. Great history. Place was not noisy & I could hear my husband talk. Fabulous time here. I would go back! read more

We were visiting Hershey, PA for only 1 day and were told this was the one restaurant we had to try. The food was delicious and our waiter Bryce was very personable. His recommendation for the snickerdoodle creme brûlée was a big hit. I appreciated the allergen labeling and variety of option on the menu. Really adorable setting in a historic building read more

This was my second time at this restaurant I recommended it to a lot of people and wanted to make sure my recommendation was still spot on, and it absolutely is. Every aspect of this restaurant contributes to making it my favorite in the area. The ambience is very nice, our server (Shea) was not only knowledgeable about the menu but provided great service. This time around we were sat in the downstairs area which had a very warm fireplace and really cool decor. Now for the good stuff, we tried 4 of their cocktails (spring bloom, Aperol spritz, peach old fashioned, and espresso martini) all were incredible in different ways. My personal favorite was the peach old fashion with the dried peach garnish, but the grapefruit foam on the Aperol spritz was really tasty and interesting. For an appetizer we got the calamari. It was fried perfectly, buttery and crunchy at the same time and the citrus aioli really added to the experience. We came into dinner with a plan, a few years ago I had the scallops and knew I had to get them again. The Mill burger was also recommended to me. We obviously had to get both. Firstly, the scallops were perfect. They were cooked extremely well, the mango slaw was incredible and the dirty rice and roja sauce gave it a nice kick. As for the burger, it was worth every penny. The bun was toasted, the meat was cooked perfectly, and the black pepper bbq sauce really set it off. For the price one of the best burgers you're going to find. Since it was a special occasion was obviously had to get dessert. The Urban Churn dark soul ice cream was absolutely incredible and the portion size was perfect to split. If you've gotten this far I'm sure you can tell I'm going right recommend this restaurant to anyone who finds themselves in the Hershey area. read more

Whatever was especially delicious with the food and was enjoyable about the experience was somewhat lost by the hostess. Argumentative, pretentious twit likely suffering from inexperience. I shrugged it off but other members of my party were offended. Whatever, I just wanted to eat. On the polar contrary, our waitress was excellent and saved the day, thankfully. Shae, like the butter, was just brilliant!! Suppose I should have carried on about the food but have wasted my energy on the front of house. read more

Tried the Mill for diner and was largely underwhelmed. Brisket was dry, filet was chewy. Overall not worth the money.

Ambiance 4.5 stars Service 4.5 stars Food 3.0 stars Cleanliness 4.5 stars When we arrived at this restaurant, we were very impressed. They had a nice outdoor seating and indoor dining. We requested last minute to sit at a booth, which they kindly accommodated. The tables were nicely separated from each other. The place was huge with multi-levels. Both welcoming to family and romantic couples alike. A+ for environment. Our waiter was Bryce. He greeted us with smiles, and was knowledgeable about the specials. My partner did receive his beer a little warmer than what he preferred even though his request was a chill glass with an extremely cold bottle of Coors. For the appetizers, we got half dozen Prince Edward oysters which were smooth and flavorful, and the pork belly, which had a nice sweet flavor. The expected fatty layers were succulent and melted in our mouths. We got one of the special of the day, flounder with stuffed crab which was bland and devoid of seasoning. It was disappointing. My partner ordered the short ribs lasagne. The short ribs pieces were tasty. However, the lasagne was burnt and dry around the edges. A bit salty as well. Overall, not a satisfying dish. read more

I went on 2 different days to get a good meal for my daughter as she is in rehab from a stroke. She is learning to talk again and she can now say "steak" when I ask her what she would like to eat! The service was top notch; very attentive and gave recommendations. Loved the outdoor area! We sat at the bar in the outside. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. The food here is also very yummy. I've been a few times. I've had their calamari and a trout special in the past, which was very delicious. This time, we got oysters and split a steak since it was Thursday steak night. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, I do have one small complaint...the steak still had the silver skin on it. If not removed, it makes the meat very chewy when cooked. I attached the picture of the steak. It was cooked perfectly (to medium rare), just upsetting that they served a lower quality piece of meat. Lastly, we got this chocolate, peanut butter dessert, which was TO DIE FOR . Will always come back for a special night. read more

Stopped into the Mill for the first time during our recent trip to Hershey Park. We were pleasantly surprised. The food, service, and timing of the courses were fantastic! Our table had the Kansas City strip and crab cakes. Both were cooked well and are dishes we would have again. The vanilla bean cheesecake was a perfect finishing touch! We will definitely be back on our next visit to the park. read more

07.23.23 Wife and I drove up for dinner today we brought a friend along with us, we still had gift cards left over from covid that I purchased to help out with insurance for the workers. We arrived and the parking lot was full as always, we were going to try and eat out on the new patio but it was full so we went to the basement and the bar only had 2 people at it so we sat down. We saw Amy but she wasn't working at the bar tonight she was serving tables instead of the bar. We sat down and the girl working the bar gave us some menus and took our drink order and told us about the special for the evening. It was a white fish with an egg plant puree with some mixed veggies, I would have got that but I don't like egg plant. Our friend ordered the special wife had the Summer Cobb Salad and I had the Filet. The meals were excellent, our friend was extremely pleased with the fish special said it was delicious and of course the Cobb and filet was excellent as well. Now dessert! We told our friend about the peanut butter pie here all the 2 1/2 hours up the road we told her how wonderful it is. Then when we ask for it we were told that they don't have it, that blew the wind out of our sails!! Another server told us that it would melt because of the heat of the summer that's why they don't have it now to come back in the fall. Im here now this is the first time we have drove up and they haven't had peanut butter pie, it was prepared in different ways but they always had it for I know the past 7+ years. We would get extra if we were staying in town to eat later it never melted it didn't have time too! So, we had to get something else. I decided to get the Cannoli cake, with in came out it looked really good! Well after that first bit all 3 of us were very disappointed, the cannoli cake I think had ways too many chocolate chips. And the cake was very dry, where was the cream that goes in a cannoli? That would have made it nice an moist and maybe then it would have tasted better with all those chocolate chips. Well at least we know not to ever get that again we will have to try something different for sure. We were just shocked because in all the time we have been coming here this was the first I guess it does happen. Hope to be back soon!! read more

Everything i ordered was amazing. I had the donut holes, lime in coconut, and eggs Benedict. This drink is my new favorite. Going to try to get there before it's out of season. I want to try everything on the menu. Was slightly disappointed we didn't get to sit outside seeing it's the end of the season for outdoor dining. There was an event going on. But our service was great inside. I'll just have to visit more next summer. Can't wait to go back. read more

We had Easter Sunday brunch at The Mill in Hershey, and although it was busy, it was definitely worth it. The shrimp was juicy and paired perfectly with the fresh wedge salad. My husband really enjoyed his steak and eggs, and our son was all smiles with his pancakes and bacon. We also tried the apple fritters--super tasty! WOW! My husband I came here prior to a concert last evening and we've both been here (sorry - totally forgot to review). The building itself is probably the most gorgeous place I've had dinner in years. It's warm and inviting while you can hear the faint buzzing of the passing trains. It's huge with an outdoor seating area and a big parking lot. Our server was Katelyn and she was phenomenal! She was so quick to tend to us; getting refills, recommending items, and checking how each item turned out. Truly, I think a good server can make an experience go from good to great. She's definitely a keeper! We ordered several drinks from the bar and they all came out in a timely manner, especially given how busy they were! The wine was crisp and cold and my husband enjoyed his mixed drinks. I also love the variety of specialty drinks they offer. We started with the oysters, which were of good size. We also got the bruschetta and it was delicious! The bread was not too soft but not too crunchy. We also got the calamari which was cooked perfect! The accompanying sauce was good too. My husband grabbed the pork chop which he devoured. I got the pan seared chicken breast. My only request would be to maybe serve with a little cup of the sauce on the side. I loved the carrots and enjoyed having them presented that way. And now for dessert ... WOWWZA. I know it's just strawberry sorbet but it was so flavorful. I thought everything was excellent from the service to the drinks to the food. Highly recommend trying this place out. Very reasonable for the quality and portions you get!! read more
