Ample parking and plenty of seating inside, outside and on the floor above. It's a beautiful building and we had no trouble finding it. It did take awhile to get sat since there wasn't anyone at the front but once sat, service was quick. They don't have flights but they do have 8 oz pours. We tried the Sound Machine, the El Tejon and the Big Hill Cider. Loved the cider, it wasn't overly sweet and had good flavor. I did like how refreshing the El Tejon was and my husband really enjoyed the Sound Machine. For a quick bite, we ordered the Brisket Melt. I wish it had a little more sauce on it but overall it was delicious. The fries were really good. Family friendly and friendly and attentive service, would definitely recommend coming here.

I'm a regular here with my friends. This place ROCKS and if you have not been here in awhile since their opening a few years back, I highly recommend you come back and try their food again. They hired new chefs and management, and the menu has been revamped. 1) Onion ring tower - awesome (heavy but expected) 2) Truffle mushroom pizza - best pizza if you're a truffle and mushroom lover. Perfectly done crust, nice truffle flavor, just divine you must get this 3) Thai chili salmon - their salmon is perfectly cooked "medium", tender, some of the best salmon I have ever had with tender rice and bok choy Their ciders and beers are also great! The ambiance is super impressive as well with tall ceilings, live music, ample seating, and firepits outdoors. I've hosted several group events here and they were always able to accommodate us (even with large groups of 12-15 on the day of). This has got to be a staple in York that you come to! I'm so surprised that it only has 3.5 stars!

Great spot a bit south of York off the Leader Heights, PA exit off I-83. I'd been wanting to visit for a while and things lined up on a recent Thursday South County is an impressive facility. It is tucked away in a secluded wooded area not far from the interstate. Parking is plentiful and the grounds are beautiful, with indoor and outdoor options. Though South County doesn't offer flights, you can order 8-ounce pours--which is what I chose for a selection of four lighter beers. All were fresh and excellent, and I plan to return to try additional selections. For food I enjoyed a basic pepperoni pizza which was excellent. Lots of other tasty options on the menu as well. I sat at the bar and the service was excellent. The bartenders were clearly busting their butts and hustling. Service was very attentive but NOT intrusive or annoying. Overall: great spot. You may have your own opinions on specific beers my overall experience was impressive. I'll definitely be back to try other beers and menu items.

What a fantastic brewery! A secluded oasis- ample parking- with a plethora of beautiful indoor & outdoor seating options we settled into an outdoor spot, cozy around the firepit- they don't offer flights, so we ordered a few 8 ounce pours to run through their massive IPA selections- there wasn't a bad beer in the bunch! I rated everything ranked 4-5* (out of 5-on untapped) they all had such a hoppy crispness with varying unique fruit, dank, or piney blends- (well priced pours) we ended up buying a few 4packs to go (& I love their ability to create your own 4pack at a flat price!) we didn't get food, but I always like to glance at menus for future visit knowledge- they have a decent variety, but nothing jumped out sounding delicious "want to try that" more just 'hungry have to eat'- prices range from reasonable to "hmm that seems high", but a few items passing by looked good-so I'd have to try some to fully judge but the beers really stand out! definitely recommend going for the beer & ambiance

Have been to South County a few more times since my last visit. Food has been consistently delicious. Service has always been friendly and attentive. Still think they need some TVs on the wall!

Made it back to SCB-York for Wednesday night music. We heard Keri previously, thought this would be a good way to break up the week. The large space definitely accommodates her bold voice! Always impressed with the drive entrance and outside impression of this building. Impressive. I still wish for a large, rectangular bar right smack in the middle of the place... Our server was very nice, and checked on us often. The chili was good! Onion rings too greasy, bbq chix pizza very tasty! The Stellar was my beer choice for the night. Was hoping Day Runner session was still on, it is more my style, less hazy... I enjoyed watching the young floor staff do their thing, tending to the people and the space. SCB remains clean and organized.

Didn't even get to eat. We were treated like trash from the hostess, so we walked. We came in, and walked to the hostess station. I had a big smile and said "Hello!" (I was in a great mood before hand)Told them we had 5, and she immediately asked us if we could leave by 6:30. It was 5 o'clock. We went 20 mins early to have a drink and appetizer, and wait for our other 2 people and it was about to dump rain in 10 mins. She asked if we made a reservation, and my husband said "no, cuz we looked at reservations for 5 and a bunch of time slots were open." So, had we made a reservation, we could've stayed past 6:30?? I mean, c'mon. That's dumb. We are visiting from out of state, and talk about not feeling welcome. Then she said, "you can sit outside". And my husband said, "it's about to rain." She then said nothing, and my husband said, "well, we can go spend our money somewhere else." Her response was "Oh well!" What a shame, we are HUGE tippers. Someone missed out on what would've been a big check and a big tip. I'd think twice about who you have at the front door greeting guests. We won't be back. Pic below is of the available spots had we made a reservation. What a shame.

So the facility and the outdoor space is amazing! The wife had thebspiced apple cider and loved it. I was DD, coke for me, grabbed some carryout. The Festifall is real good and similar to Octoberfest. Also tried the light Lager and it was pretty tastey. My wife had the wood fired pizza, and it was fairly large and was delicious. Alot of pepperoni, with a little spicy kick to it. I had the brisket sandwich with potato salad. The brisket was very good..the potato salad was not what I was expecting. Service was amazeballs! Looking forward to our next time at South County...

First time visiting South County Brewery after a work meeting. Sadly I'm not from the area so I'm not sure when I will return but we all had a phenomenal time. This spot was recommended to us by our business partners and it didn't disappoint. We got the charcuterie board, pizzas, & chili along with espresso martinis. Initially I wanted an entree but missed the "after 4pm" comment on the menu but the pizza was delicious. It was a beautiful establishment and wasn't too busy since we went early afternoon. Would love to come back in the warmer months to experience their outside areas.

You order at the bar and they give you a buzzer when your food is ready to be picked up at the window. My friend was excited because they had bourbon and burgers, which hit the spot for her. She got a black and bleu burger with a side salad and raved about the burger. I opted for a gyro with fries, and a German pilsner. My sandwich was good, but I thought it needed more tomatoes and onions. The fries had a kick and were a very generous sized portion. If I'm ever in the York area again, I'd definitely stop back in.

Went with the bartenders suggestion of the Rei Rei Sauce (Combination of Mango Habanero Sauce, Thai Chili Sauce and a smoky BBQ Sauce as described by the bartender). Apparently they made it for a regular patron, and it was so good, it made it to the menu. . Wings were "naked" decent size and cooked rather crispy. I'm usually a hot and honey guy, so this was a bit more spicy than my norm, but it wasn't burn my butt off hot. Good mix of flavors in that sauce. The server did a great job with making sure that our drinks were filled, and we had to go boxes and brought our food out in a timely manner. Some of the appetizer choices were the calamari, fried kale and crab claw lollipops. All three were absolutely outstanding, and the portions were large. For dinner, our choices are rockfish, lobster, mac & cheese, filet mignon, or grilled chicken green curry. Again, the portion sizes were large and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were able to choose from a flourless chocolate torte or cheesecake. I forgot to mention that the Caesar salad was so fresh and the dressing was outstanding. I would like to come back and experience the restaurant and their entire menu. The upstairs had a fun, urban feel with a fireplace and a cool bar. We felt comfortable and it was a fun vibe.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

Juicy, tender, and full of flavor, it's the kind of entrée you end up recommending to friends for weeks. Their octopus is another standout, prepared with surprising delicacy. Tender, not chewy, with a perfect char that adds just the right amount of smokiness. It's balanced, refined, and one of the most memorable small plates you'll find locally. And don't leave without dessert--the crème brûlée is phenomenal. Silky smooth custard under a flawlessly torched sugar crust that cracks just right. Simple, classic, and executed perfectly.
