Outdoor seating is really nice! Can't go wrong with Alligator Bites & pizza! The wines go down nicely on a hot day.

This was our first stop in Gettysburg, Joey was great! The best stop so far. Can't wait to enjoy the wine selection we picked. Thanks Joey!

A cute little wine and gift shop, hosting Friday and Saturday outdoor concerts…read more We love this little wine shop, both for it's offerings, but especially for the weekend concerts and the outdoor umbrellaed tables. We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.

Rated No. 1 in Town by many and we agree…read more Came in expecting a solid night out--left impressed. First off, service was dialed in: attentive without hovering, genuinely warm, and paced just right for a relaxed evening. Cocktails ("bespoke") can sometimes feel like an afterthought at places like this, but not here. The La Dulce Vida was excellent--balanced, not overly sweet, and actually worth ordering again (rare). We split the baby beet salad and honestly could've eaten two. Bright, fresh, and one of those dishes that makes you rethink how good something simple can be. Mains: duck à l'orange and steak frites. Both delivered. The duck had that perfect mix of richness and citrus, and the steak was cooked spot-on--though fair warning, it's a serious portion. The frites skip the usual cone presentation, but they're crispy and plentiful, so no real complaints. All in around $200 with tip for two, which felt fair given the quality across the board. This is the kind of place that doesn't try too hard--and gets almost everything right. Would come back.

The mussels and frites were amazing and honestly I could have just had that for dinner and been happy. Drinks were clever and well presented. I had the maple bacon old fashion and the S'mores old fashion. I did like the bacon one a smidge better. Service was ok, had to ask for silverware and our waters went empty. No big deal. Would return.

I tried a glass of the 2024 Karl Josef Piesporter, and it was sweet without being overwhelming. It has a laid back vibe, so there's no rush to leave. It's a great place to sit and chat for a while. They're dog friendly, though I will say the dog next to us got a little active with their friend, which was a bit distracting. Overall, it still had a quaint atmosphere. The service was on the slower side, but we weren't in a rush. Just keep that in mind if you're looking for a quicker stop because this spot might not be your best pick. I really enjoyed the wine and the waterfront views, so I'll definitely be back!

We ordered two vodka lemonades and two spicy margaritas. A little later he brought out a cheese board and said he was training someone, they had made an extra one, and he wanted us to have it for free. Super nice of him! We sat there enjoying our drinks, the cheese board, and watching the Blue Angels fly by. Great atmosphere. When we asked for the bill it was $73. Keep in mind, that's for four drinks because everything else was given to us for free. We never asked for the peach drink or the cheese board--he offered them. We paid the bill and left a good tip, but come on...$73 for four basic drinks is crazy. Just be aware if you're stopping in. The drinks are not cheap. Even with the free extras, it didn't feel like a good value.
