Ventured here this afternoon to celebrate my aunts birthday. Was the perfect Sunday funday adventure!! Arrived on time for our 130p reservation. I arrived a little early to set up for our celebratory occasion. Our waitress Michelle was super sweet and attentive. She offered us a welcome pour of their "You are my Sunshine" which was lovely. I honestly could've done without the flight that I ordered and just had this! Our food was delicious! From the appetizers we shared to the selection of pizzas we ordered. For desserts we ordered the Lemon Tart Cheesecake, Pistachios Strawberry Macaroons and I was able to bring in an outside cake for the occasion. Which was absolutely delicious!!!!!! The almond/vanilla cake paired well with the rosè. Our cabana was clean and set up perfectly for our arrival. The grounds and views were absolutely amazing....they offer mini amplifiers to listen to music from your phones... Really was the perfect afternoon for a perfect occasion. I will never stop talking about how great this place is for special gatherings! I hosted a wonderful bridal shower here in the space for 12+ and it really was spectacular. Great service, beautiful venue, and good food. My friend rented a patio cabana. If you are a wine club member, you can get this for free. Our server Jenni was attentive and fun. We each had a Fav Wine Flights which was great to try a few different wines. We all shared a Caesar salad, and the Pepperoni and hot honey and prosciutto and pesto pizzas. They were both great but I liked the Pepperoni and Hot Honey more. I really liked the Trio wine - it's not a traditional Chardonnay based wine. We also really liked the crème brûlée! I wished I could remember the name of our adorable server. From start to finish, she was so attentive and accommodating. She started us off with a glass of their "You are My Sunshine" sparkling rose, which was fantastic. We rented a table on the porch. We had beautiful views of the grounds, very open and breezy. Love this venue! Went here during February. We reserved one of the 7-12 greenhouses and our event went so well. The greenhouse has good natural lighting. The pizzas were tasty too. Good heating, even a fan for the summer. Be careful of the heating element because we burned one of our balloons that touched. Muddy on the parking lot in February after a few weeks of snow and rain so dress appropriately and wear the right shoes. Highly recommended! read more

Recently visited for a Saturday morning cabana reservation. Easy to book online through their website. From the DC metro area the drive was about an hour and half/60 miles. We chose to book a scheduled rideshare there and back. There is free parking and the winery opens at 10 am we were able to walk the grounds and interior winery until our reservation. The cabanas are neat and private which views of the farm with lighting, fans, and heaters. Our visit was fairly a warm day so it was nice to have the fan but overall you are shielded from the sun and able to enjoy an interior/exterior atmosphere. There was a little food debris on the chairs/floor but not messy and the cabana was very neatly designed and furnished. The staff is very courteous and attentive with Matt being our guide through the available wine offerings and accommodating our menu requests. He provided amazing service and recommendations that really made our visit special. Our reservation was for three hours which is more than enough time to taste the wines, enjoy the menu and purchase wines after. We enjoyed the red wine flight, a complimentary glass of their 2025 Rosé, and rose sangria as well as starters of hummus and Caesar salad and pizzas. The chef was accommodating to our party for a request for no diary which we really appreciated. The Caesar salad was crisp and savory and the hummus was earthy and filling. My favorite tasting was the rosé and the Cabernet Sauvignon and I love their wide range of offerings. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend reservations. Since his wife is a member, he rented a private cabana, and the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful -- relaxed, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a special occasion. Our cabana seated six, and we had plenty of space to enjoy the afternoon.The hummus appetizer was outstanding, the wood‑fired pizza was excellent, and the wine was even better. I came here with some friends for brunch, and we rented one of the private cabanas. They have heaters as well, so the cabanas can be rented year round. The food here is farm to table and the ingredients are sourced locally, and the everything tasted fresh. An adorable winery with fantastic selections for every palette, good food, and friendly service. We celebrated a birthday at Old Westminster in the small house rentals. Inside, they've thought of everything: blankets, heaters, fans, and a little speaker you can connect to. Jen was our waitress and she made it fun, gave out great recommendations for the women new to wine, and just made it a fun experience. The food was good and the wine selection was awesome. I don't love that the dry red tasting is only available to members but understand it makes a good business model. The petit Verdot was excellent! Such a fun place to get wine and good food. We were able to reserve a spot at the private cabanas and it is so lovely. We went when it was pouring rain, but the cabana was still warm and did a good job of keeping the rain out of our cabana. The food here is farm table so the food is super fresh and flavorful. You can even see them making your pizza through a glass window. We got the flights and were able to try the different wines they had to offer. We dot the cheese and meat board, several pizzas, carrots, and the hummus. The pizzas were really good and had a ton of toppings on them. I can't wait to go back! read more

This is by far the best Maryland winery that I have been too. I think these wines can compete with other well known areas, and the professional awards show it. The servers have always been knowledgeable when I have been, and they are able to provide recommendations and suggestions based on your own taste and preferences. They give you a complimentary pour (they call it a splash) of a wine not on the menu that you can buy by the bottle at the beginning of your reservation. Old Westminster Winery is definitely worth the drive out! The farm it's on it's beautiful and the actual dining areas are so beautifully decorated. You can sit in the glass patio or in mini green houses during the colder months, so you can enjoy the sunlight while still keeping warm, which is a must in the cold! As soon as we arrived, aside from noticing the beautiful property and space I noticed how friendly and welcoming all the staff were. From the busy hosts being so welcoming to the servers being SO knowledgeable. I came out knowing so much about the winery and wine in general! For food everything we got was AMAZING! The pizzas were so well cooked and the pear prosciutto and Gouda pairing was so unexpected but perfect. The hummus gets points for being pink and for it generally being one of the most flavorful hummuses I have had in a while! Of course the main event is the wines, with the membership you receive four flights free each month, we were able to try all three available which was perfect because they were all delicious! My favorite flight combo was the classics. If you live around the area and would go monthly I definitely think the wine membership is a great opportunity to get free green house or patio bookings, free wine flights, and 10% off all other wine purchases! read more

My friends and I have been talking about this place for awhile, especially since there's been all this rave online and due to the awards that they've received. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for the private cabanas. The cabanas, the winery, the decor, is something out of a magazine. 10/10 on their design and making this a place where I could sit for hours with a glass of wine and great company. I didn't take a picture of the margherita pizza, but it was a 12" Neapolitan style. Chef's kiss all around. I could have eaten about 3 more of these. By no means am I some kind of wine aficionado, but I very much enjoyed the red wines and the sparking rose. They were on the dryer side which is exactly what I was looking for. I did try a few of the whites, but not my thing. I don't like white wine from a lot of places so no knock to them. Would I come back? Absolutely. Was able to book about 3 months in advance for a greenhouse for 6. The greenhouse was very spacious and decorated well. The only negative I can think of is cloudy weather is needed. If the sun is out in full force, I imagine the greenhouse will get too hot. The glimpses of sun we had, made us open fans and all doors. I've visited Old Westminster Winery twice now and it's such a great setting to unwind on the weekend. My partner rented us one of the outdoor greenhouses both times, which are so beautifully decorated. The service was fantastic - the staff members were so friendly, attentive, and eager to answer any questions we had about the wines or menu items. My book club and I had an amazing experience at Old Westminster Winery! When we arrived, we were greeted and seated right away. The grounds were beautiful, with tons of hydrangeas and other flowers. We reserved one of the little greenhouses and were allowed to decorate, so we brought a few bouquets and other small items for the tables. I'm not a huge wine drinker, but decided to go with the summer wine flight and loved all 3! The honey wine was so refreshing on the extremely hot day. I also had the Caesar salad and pepperoni hot honey pizza, and both were 10/10! Service was also amazing! The indoor tasting area was cool, clean, and the staff in there was also kind and welcoming. I've been to Westminster Winery many times at different times of year and it's always a blast. The wine is great, service is great, and we love the pizza. I came on a Friday night in February, renting a greenhouse with my girlfriends. We had server Casey and she was awesome. We each got flights and split some pizzas. The greenhouse is so cozy and has little heaters in it. The flights are about $30 so not cheap but tasty and change all the time. I love the pizza - is crispy and has great toppings. We stayed in the greenhouse for about 3 hours and had a blast. In the summer, it's a lovely outdoor space too. Plentiful free parking on site. I wish there were more restrooms (only 2 stalls!) and more food options besides pizza - it makes it hard to come more often. I also wish they had some more sides. Overall, it's a beautiful winery with great wine and could be great for all kinds of events!! read more

We stayed in the lounge greenhouse which offered a nice amount of space so for 5 people we weren't crowded at all. The table is maybe a little small with all the glasses and decor but you make it work. It can hold up to 6 people. Our waitress was helpful and informative of the various wine and food selections. If you're traveling from the DC area, be ready for a driveeee to get out to the Old Westminster Winery but just know that it will be worth it once you arrive. The winery is breathtaking when you arrive and a very relaxing experience. It looks like they newly renovated the outside and whoever came up with the design... shout out to you. You did your big one. There are small outdoor spaces (maybe 12) where you can dine outside with up to 10 guests without being in the sun. They had pumpkins and fall decorations scattered throughout. There's even a little event space off to the side that looks like it would be beautiful for a wedding. The wine itself I thought was ok here. The only thing that I would've gotten again was one of their rose's. Everything else was either too sweet or I was just not a fan (their orange wine). I ordered the sausage and onion pizza and thought it was kind of mid and lacked seasoning. There are plenty other wine and food option so maybe there are some other gems that I have yet to try here. I thought the service was pretty good, everyone was friendly. I'm not sure that I would seek out another visit to Old Westminster Winery but would definitely visit again if I were in the area. This winery is really cute if you want to find somewhere with vibes. They have cabanas that seat small and large groups as well as regular seating. They have a pretty good variety of food (mostly pizza which I forgot to take a pic of) and their selection of wine is pretty diverse as well. My only complaint about this place is the holding deposit fee for the cabanas. I have never been to a place that doesn't apply the deposit towards the final bill. So while the cabanas are nice, warning that this is really just a HOLDING fee. You don't get it back and it doesn't go towards the bill. read more

I visited Old Westminster Winery with a group of 12 and reserved one of their outdoor cabanas -- beautiful setting and perfect for a group! I loved the dry Rosé and got to sample their 2022 Origins red (member-only), which reminded me of Pinot Noir -- very nice! The bathroom even had cloth hand towels -- a nice eco-friendly touch. Food-wise, the wood-fired pizzas are a popular choice. I ordered the Pepperoni and Hot Honey, and my friend had the Margherita. While the crust had a good char, several pizzas in our group came out overcooked. More disappointing, though, was the soggy, doughy bottom on our pizzas -- not the crisp base we were hoping for. Whether it was too much sauce or underbaking, it was a miss. The cheesecake tart was amazing, and my friend loved the Chocolate Chip Skillet -- dessert was the highlight! Beautiful winery with great service, but due to the wine selection and disappointing pizza, I wouldn't return. This place so peaceful and relaxing. Nestled in the hills and valleys of Carroll Co. I booked a cabana for an early Sunday afternoon. When we checked in at the hostess stand, we were immediately escorted to our cabana by a very friendly staff. The cabana can seat up to 6 guest. There are fans in the cabana to help keep guest cool. I think the cabanas may be somewhat sound proof because we could not hear any conversation coming from the surrounding occupied units. They have a very extensive wine selection, of course....its a winery. The food and drink menu is in a cute little vintage leather cover. We opted to try the fruit and cheese board with added prosciutto, prosciutto and pineapple pizza, and the strawberry basil donut. Everything thing was delicious. As for the wine we did the summer seasonal flight to start. We ended up ordering a bottle of the Honey which was the third selection in the seasonal flight. I'm looking forward to booking another cabana in the early fall. The cool breeze and the fall foliage will make for a beautiful afternoon. read more

Wow, This was my first time experiencing a Maryland winery and I must tell you.. it is a MUST DO!!! We made a reservation about a month in advance, because this winery is highly rated and tends to book up pretty quickly. We were seated in the outdoor pavilion area during the late evening and it was perfect. Everything from the service / staff to the food and wine was amazing! I throughly enjoyed every bit of the experience. It is quite a drive from the metro area, but well worth it. There's tons of on site parking. Their food menu isn't extensive, but there are a variety of pizzas and apps to choose from. I truly believe that you can't go wrong with anything that you choose from the menu.
