Another awesome visit. It speaks volumes when the owner pays you a visit and tops off your drinks. OBTW, best ice tea in the world and comes with a pasta straw. Service was again super and likely a compliment of the owners. Wish I had this spot in BelAir. Food 10/10!

I dropped in for a quick coffee. The coffee was average, but they have such a wide selection of baked goods that I just have to make my way back to try. When you walk in the door, it's warm and smells just like fresh baked goods. The service was friendly and helpful, but we came close to closing, so we'll have to visit again soon. I grabbed some chocolate batons to go, which are very sweet but good... I wonder what the ingredients are since they weren't listed on the packaging. Looking forward to next time I'm in the area!

I'm a sucker for locally owned bakeries, particularly where they sell their own blend of loose leaf tea, selection of Maryland wines, and biscuits. The staff are friendly and welcoming. If you're having an iced tea, you can drink it out of an actual pasta straw! Amazing. Great spot! Great atmosphere. Has hometown diner vibe with a classy modern edge.

Pumpkin chocolate chip sweet scone of the day

I came in here a few days ago and got some items for breakfast. I got the ham and cheese croissant which was pretty good. I also got the sweet scone of the day which was pumpking chocolate chip and it was amazing!! The people taking our orders were helpful, and the guy who owns it even came by and said "I noticed your coffee cup was empty but you still have food left over. Want me to get you a refill?" And I think especially with how busy that place was at the time, that is some great service. The ambience was pretty nice as well. Its sort of folksy which fits with the Westminster small town vibe, and the seating works out well since you can sit at the big tables with a larger party, or you could sit across from random people since the table is wide enough it still feels like you are sitting at your own table. This place is a Westminster gem!!!

    "Egg", sausage, scallion, cheese strata

lively coffee shop in downtown Westminister, great seating and ambiance. trendy menu with bfast sandwhiches, quiche and casseroles all day. There is also a good lunch menu, and lots of wine displayed thru out cafe. service very friendly. only disappointment was the strata I ordered which was very very dry. if it cost more than $5 I would have taken it back, but it was relatively cheap considering the portion and I was ravenous. it was advertised as egg, cheese, scallions, sausage and biscuit.... but was mostly biscuit with some sausage chunks and dark brown shredded cheddar cheese plastered on top. I could not detect egg, it was very heavy and dry. I would come back and try something else on menu... like I said, atmosphere is nice and you can hang out as long as you like....

    Cheddar bacon scallion scone
    Stephen J.

Jeannie Bird is on Main St in Westminster, a historic downtown street that features a lot of great bakeries. I stopped into this restaurant and was greeted by the warm aroma of baked goods. I was pressed for time and ordered the Cheddar bacon scallion scone to go. So good and I'm not a huge scone lover! Each bite was filled with generous pieces of bacon, cheese and fresh scallions. The scone was fresh and filling. Treat yourself and do yourself a favor and order at least two scones, maybe three scones for another day!

Our visit was fairly a warm day so it was nice to have the fan but overall you are shielded from the sun and able to enjoy an interior/exterior atmosphere. There was a little food debris on the chairs/floor but not messy and the cabana was very neatly designed and furnished. The staff is very courteous and attentive with Matt being our guide through the available wine offerings and accommodating our menu requests. He provided amazing service and recommendations that really made our visit special. Our reservation was for three hours which is more than enough time to taste the wines, enjoy the menu and purchase wines after. We enjoyed the red wine flight, a complimentary glass of their 2025 Rosé, and rose sangria as well as starters of hummus and Caesar salad and pizzas. The chef was accommodating to our party for a request for no diary which we really appreciated. The Caesar salad was crisp and savory and the hummus was earthy and filling. My favorite tasting was the rosé and the Cabernet Sauvignon and I love their wide range of offerings. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend reservations. Already looking forward to my next visit! As of May 2026 the cabana reservation is $65 with food/wine being separate Free parking $$

We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.
