I absolutely loved Links Bridge! They have four really top notch reds (barbera, Syrah, cab franc, and monocacy) and a lot of great whites as well (the Albariño and chenin bland stood out). They also have terrific charcuterie boards to pair with a tasting. Overall, this was a great stop, and I look forward to coming back!

This place is magical! It's kid and dog friendly but in the best way. There is bocce, pickle ball, a whole elevated patio near the river, and this lovely garden that feels like your own secret garden (minus the cholera). I could spend hours here. The wine flight is a generous sampling of their reds and whites and you can take a bottle down to the river with your kid or dog (or both) and Lucy, the resident pup, may even come to play. Even with the. Hold ten and dogs it feels somehow classy and casual so you can just feel at ease and enjoy the nature surrounding you. The charcuterie board was a hit!

4.5 Stars.Cool little rustic winery. Lovely setting. You can arrive by canoe or kayak. Great service. Good wine. They have private river access which is nice. Will return.

Links Bridge is a beautiful quaint winery. Joan and her husband are so sweet, and helpful with any questions you have. Take the time to strike up a conversation with them, they're super passionate about what they've built. The wines are great too. Really loved the Cab Franc as a red and the Albariño white is also delicious. The grounds are pretty to take a walk down into the vineyards. This is my third time back and I'll def come again!

Very nice winery in a quiet location. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. You can bring your own outside food but they also sell charcuterie plates. Wine tasting with 7 wines was $14. We ended up ordering additional glasses and staying for several hours.

What a great experience. We were Immediately greeted at the door by the owner and the tasting specialist (Suzanne) who was awesome. A little different tasting process, you sit at a table and they pour the seven wines, 4 whites and 3 reds ($7.00) at the same time. Suzanne did explain the process of how each wine was made. Don't miss this winery, it's definitely a hidden gem. Our favorite was the 2017 hillside Chardonnay and the 2015 Cabernet Franc which were not on the current tasting list. They also have a great outdoor area, and you can take a quick walk down to the river. The tasting room was pretty awesome too, it's brand new with plenty of room to move around.

We traveled 40 minutes out of our way to visit Links Bridge because of the great reviews on Yelp and Facebook. Both places say the winery is opened from 11am to 6pm today. Unfortunately when we arrived there's a sign on their gate that says "by appointment only." It never occurred to me that I'd also need to call to ensure the winery is opened if their hours are listed as opened online. So disappinting and a complete waste of time.

What a wonderful and intimate experience this winery is. The wines are fabulous, relaxed atmosphere, and we didn't feel rushed at all.

If you're looking for a big, fancy winery with a bustling tasting room, this isn't for you. But if…read moreyou want a very friendly place where the owner (Ed) will greet you at the parking lot and take you on a terrific golf cart tour - up close and personal with the grapes used to make the wine you'll soon be sipping - Six Wicket (tastings by appointment only) is superb. After the golf cart tour, which features wonderful mountain views (SW is high up, not far from Camp David but reasonably close to route 70), Ed will stop at his beloved croquet court and invite you to partake. Do: it's a blast. Then you can choose an indoor or outdoor tasting location (bring your own nibbles; there's no food served here) and check out some excellent wines including a delicious Cab Franc in Slovenian Oak and a fine Petit Verdot, among others. Coming soon: a Gruner Veltliner!

Of note, you MUST pre-book your tasting and tour - they operate on an appointment-only basis and it's BYOF (bring your own food). This is not only their vineyard, but also their home - which means you are welcomed in like a guest by Ed and Kathy for your visit. Our visit started with a tour of the vineyard grounds - you will get up close and personal with the grape vines and understand what is really behind what you taste later on. There's plenty to see as there is 15 acres under vines and a total of 7 different grape varietals (two whites, Chardonnay and Albariño and five reds, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Teroldego and Pinot Noir). You'll learn why they planted the way they did and why they planted what they did. You'll understand that Ed's medical background shows up in the health and care of the vines in ways that make a difference in the final output of the plants. We then went to the porch for a fireside tasting of four wines: Albarino (2022), Rose of Cabernet Franc (2022), Cabernet Franc (2020 - American Oak and 2020 - Slovenian Oak). The wines are outstanding. The Albarino is crisp, dry and refreshing - ready for any fish or poultry meal, or just a nice dry white to enjoy with friends. The Rose is a perfect sipper - not sweet by any means and would work well with a variety of foods. The Cabernet Francs were tasted side-by-side while listening to the story of their Slovenian Oak barrels / barrel-making process. The American Oak is full bodied and to me had a hint of a whiskey-like feel to it. The Slovenian Oak was smooth and elegant - certainly something worth enjoying with friends and family. After that, we went into the barrel room to see some more of the operation and do a barrel tasting (if you've not done one of these before, they are very special as you're tasting wines before they are bottled and in some cases while they are still in the maturing phase!). It was an informative and enjoyable experience - it's clear that Ed and Kathy are passionate about their grapes and wines. Take the trip to the mountains and treat yourself to some amazing Maryland wines while there at Six Wicket Vineyards!

Diane, the lovely owner is so gracious and sweet and was able to handle the flow of oenophiles quite effortlessly. They have the main tasting room and also an adjacent room that could accommodate a group tasting. Diane did a great job of giving us a detailed description of each wine and I was actually pleasantly surprised! I'm not a huge fan of Md wine but truly enjoyed the wines here. I purchased a bottle of the Estate Red and they had a wonderful sangria made with their Chambourcin which I also purchased. I love supporting local and especially such a great vineyard such as this one that is also a working farm. I would encourage anyone to venture out to this vineyard--but actually put the address in your gps and not just the name, you will end up at someone's home. I assume this family are use to people ending up at their home-they have a sign that has the address of the vineyard on it--thank you mystery family!
