It was a busy night on a Saturday around 4 PM. It appeared a darts organization was playing tonight. It was great to see the place full of customers. We ordered Cajun hamburger and fries, a large cheese fries with our favorite spicy ranch, and hot rocket Boneless wings.

You can never go wrong with the cheeseburger sub. So good and fresh made hamburger patty. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is Great for Groups or families to dine in or get takeout.

I was surprised to see how little people there was considering how good the food is! It's a nice place and I adored the booths by the windows. The waitress was very kind and everything turned out great! The crab dip was smaller than expected but nonetheless delightfully filling. The fries were the perfect amount of crisp. The chipotle chicken steak sub was spicier than expected but I enjoyed it very much!

Capital crave has by far some of the best sandwiches and subs in Frederick. They are a bit off the beaten path being on old national pike, but well worth a visit. Hands down the best cheese steak in Frederick. I've had their cheese steak, chipotle chicken steak, and tuna melt, all have been delicious! We've ordered for pickup and eaten in. They have plenty of parking, indoor and out door dining and really nice staff. I think this would be a great place to hold an event or come watch a game. Lots of big screen TVs. If you're feeling like a great sub definitely check them out.

Ahh, another Yelptory, (that's a Yelp victory)... So, I used to play golf here. Yes, at the VFW, no I can not claim to be one, but I used to play on their course which was open to the public, and super cheap in it's last years. Now it is being developed (boo!). Never, in all the times I was there, did I even give Capital Crave a second thought. First, it looks kinda crappy from the outside, like who would eat there kind of crappy? Second, it gives you the impression you have to be a VFW member to eat there. Well, Yelp continues to teach me the age old lesson that you should judge an really old person by their really wrinkly skin, or however that saying goes... So we came on a date to this place because we wanted to go on a little lunch date, and we had to be near Frederick, but we didn't want to go downtown. Yelp led us here. We practically had the place to ourselves. We got to sit at a picture window and overlook the grounds of what used to be a golf course, which was now covered in snow. It's probably really a bunch of dug up dirt, but under all the snow it was quite picaresque. When we arrived, the hostess was nowhere to be seen, but she turned up after about 2 minutes of us waiting by the wait to be seated sign. We got to choose our table (see above). She was rather unenthusiastic, but she was also our server, and when we engaged her with questions about the restaurant and food, she turned out to be really nice. She really took great care of us, and was attentive to our needs and helpful with menu selections. They serve sweet tea which is nice. We ordered the potato skins, which were really potato wedges with delicious melty cheese and crispy bacon. I do wish they had green onions on them though. I read a tip about Javier Sauce, named after a longtime patron. So I asked for some, it's like a sweet hot sauce, and really delicious if you have a sweet tooth and like a little heat. I ordered two kinds of wings were the X Hot Rockets and Asian Tso. Both were great choices, the hot wings were so tasty and hot, but only mildly so. The Asian Tso tasted just like the General's original recipe to be found at many an american chinese take out place. My BYFF, Caitlin T., ordered the steakhouse burger. It was cooked perfectly and delicous, although a touch too much A-1. Maybe just sauce one of the buns next time. The food definitely took a while to come out, but when it got there, it was clear it was worth the wait. Freshly prepared, and yummy. They taste like fresh cut fries... So, we will be back! Thanks for the great service Paula! I can see why Crave is in this restaurants name. Those wings...

Amazing wings and delicious house made sauces. Their burgers are made with local meat. And the drinks are stiff, cheap, and well made.

They appear to still be using their 50/50 beef and bacon blend, and they were grinding/blending more meat when I arrived. The finished product itself makes me seriously question their palette. While smash style burgers aren't my favorite, I have enjoyed some good ones. The one I was served today was so smashed that any residual flavor from the meat blend was virtually eliminated. This was then overwhelmed by the sheer smack-your-face acid from the pickles and mustard. Further cementing my poor experience, the server acted as though my order was an afterthought. Probably not the attitude one should express towards any patron, much less to start the business day. There are LOTS of outstanding burger options in and surrounding Frederick. Given that, this genuinely poor experience, and the premium charge for their products; I am fairly certain I won't be back.

I gave four stars instead of five because my order didn't come out exactly right. The burger was cooked medium well instead of medium temperature and I didn't get any raw onions on my burger as requested. Also, there was whip cream on my shake when I asked for it to be removed. Otherwise, I would certainly order again the next time I'm in Frederick.

The onion rings deserve their own shoutout too, crispy, hand-breaded, and the perfect side item. And of course, we had to finish with dessert. Driving through the area late at night, we stumbled across Wag's with a craving for burgers. Though we weren't there to drink since we had a drive ahead of us, we loved watching the other patrons enjoying the bar scene. With daily specials and a great basement vibe, I can see why people love Wags. As for the food: the burger was just alright - but what can you expect when your meal is less than $10 per person? It honestly was perfect for the price point. The Wag Burger claimed to have a special sauce but we didn't taste it, which was fine because the burger was juicy, greasy, and hit the spot. The Philly cheese steak had a bit more flavor than the burger and was also a solid choice. Fries are fresh and made in-house, and I appreciated that you can salt them yourself and decide what toppings you might want to add. The menu is honestly huge for a dive bar, and all the food was solid. Shoutout to the staff here because after hearing how some drunk customers were treating them, they deserve all the tips in the world. Despite the staff being berated, dealing with intoxicated patrons threatening to run around nude, all while waiting tables with ease and kindness - you all deserve raises.
