Atmosphere was pleasant ,VERY clean, our waitress was wonderful and accommodating. There were five of us and everyone had something different. All were delighted with our appetizers and meal. The place was clean and the staff were pleasant. The food was a real disappointment. We ordered Ginger's Dolsot which was completely bland and Curried combination fried rice which was also bland and dry. Hope things get better as it was a pleasant space otherwise. read more

great ambiance and great service. The food came fast and everything was very tasty. We got the combo chow mein and Gingers Galbi. The only thing is the mild on the Gingers Galbi is still a bit spicy but still very good. Big portions for a very good price 10/10 would come again! read more

The server (Chris I recall), was so so nice and hospitable to my parents, who are both not too fluent in English. Thought we'd try this place. Nice remodel. Not very busy. Extremely slow service. Pot stickers were good. Tea never refilled. Dirty dishes from appetizers never removed. 45 minute wait between potstickers and main dish. Rice was cold by the time main dish arrived. Waiter didn't k own about food or menu. Said he had no training. Ribs were so tough they weren't edible. Very disappointing, another Eureka flop. read more

Disappointed to say the least. My friend and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner tonight. We were greeted at the door and had to wait a few minutes for the waiter to seat us. The restaurant is large and rather cold looking, lots of empty space, neutral colors. Nothing Asian about it at all. The canned music was American. Zero ambience, kinda sterile. There was a woman and a man working the front. There might've been 18 people in there at dinner time we ordered water and hot tea which came out quickly but we were advised to let the tea steep for a while. Good thing because it was very weak and barely lukewarm. We ordered the vegetarian egg roll appetizer, I ordered the crispy eggplant and my friend ordered the fried rice and shrimp. The egg rolls looked and tasted like they were from an airport Panda Express, the dipping sauce from a jar. A bowl of barely warm white sticky rice came out with the eggrolls, which was confusing (which dish does that belong to, the egg rolls?) The lady was apparently just there to run the cash register and refill beverages, so that left the one waiter to take care of everybody. There was no soy sauce on the table, they do not have wasabi or pickled ginger or fortune cookies, which made us very sad. My crispy eggplant came out next on a plate, just a pile of room temperature fried eggplant for $17. The little bowl of steamed white sticky rice that came out with the appetizers should've come out with my barely crispy eggplant. A good 10 minutes later my friend's room temperature fried rice and shrimp came out. It was a big mound of fried rice with maybe six little shrimp in it. We each ate about half of our entrées. No waiter insight. I wondered how long it was going to take to get the ticket and some to go boxes. It took quite a while. He said he'd be back with the ticket and two boxes. Ten minutes later he returned, I gave him my credit card. We couldn't box up our leftovers because he had removed all of our silverware. I said something so he brought us two little soup spoons. I used my fingers instead! I left a tip and our bill came to nearly $50. I will not be back to this restaurant and I do not recommend it. It's just bad. And sad. A bad buffet would be better. read more

Mixed review. The food for the most part was very good. We had the Korean Fried Pork Tenderloin appetizer, which was solid. The Budae Jjigae soup could have been great. The flavor was tremendous. However, the big pieces of tough brisket were difficult to deal with and so pretty much remained uneaten. The two entrees Ginger Orange Pork & Bul Go Gi were both great. And we look forward to trying other things on the menu. Now the bad......service was terrible. The place was not that crowded. A party of four, we asked for the soup and appetizer to come out first. Nope. The entrees came first with the soup and appetizer closely following. We ordered Crispy Eggplant, it never came. The Bonchon Dishes that were supposed to come with the Bul Go Gi never came. We asked for additional tea, it took 15 minutes. We asked that the tab be split between two credit cards and the server put it all on one card, we had to send it back. The server was pleasant enough but was pretty casual about all her errors ("it was very busy"...no it wasn't). So all in all, the food deserves a second trip, next time order the starters and then order the mains when the starters come. And we know what server to avoid if possible. read more

Love their food! So happy there's a Korean place now! Their Korean bbq, pork apps are my fav. Honestly everything here is super good. I came during their soft opening. Service was slow at first but they seem to be getting the hang of it last few times I Went. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Visited this new restaurant and had a great time! Delicious Korean food, great service, nice atmosphere, huge portions! The restaurant sign isn't too visible from the street at night, but there's a parking lot you can turn into. This time I tried a few appetizers, banchan and tofu/mushroom jjigae, which came bubbling in a hot pot. Next time I'll try the bulgogi or kalbi. This is a good restaurant to order family style and share. Lots of options on the menu to please everyone. My meal was served with rice and simple banchan. They have dalgona coffee, which I plan to try in the future. read more

Don't want to bash this place too hard but it was incredibly disappointing to say the least. As a Korean in Humboldt county I was very excited to hear about this places arrival but I definitely won't be returning. I'm not convinced the menu was created by a Korean person at all the dishes tastes to me like someone who hasn't really had any experience with Korean cuisine outside of maybe the internet. Pricing was also unlike any other Korean establishment I've ever been to. Only Korean restaurant I've been to that charges for banchan AND kimchi separately and in terms of the banchan the options were also unusual and maybe even Chinese side dishes, not kimchis. The kimchi itself didn't taste fermented either the flavor was strange. Hopefully this place changes the menu or consults with Korean chefs to rework the menu otherwise I don't think the food can confidently be labeled as Korean. Halmoni would be disappointed. The service was lovely and so was the interior but, again very unusual for a Korean establishment all in all I understand the area has a very small Asian population, even smaller of a korean one so it's just pretty obvious to me this is "Korean food" from non Koreans serving a non korean demographic so to some maybe this is acceptable. read more
