Bugolgi
Jen C.

My friend and I came on a Thursday evening. I've been craving Korean BBQ and was excited to try to bugolgi. We were seated immediately. The interior was very clean and tidy looking. We ordered the bugolgi, which came with a little dish of three kinds of banchan, and the ginger dolsot. The banchan included pickled cucumber, cabbage, and radish - not the traditional banchan spread I would expect at other Korean restaurants, but they tasted good. The bugolgi was decent - it was slightly dry and not as flavorful as expected, but still fulfilled my craving. I liked that the ginger dolsot had large pieces of shrimp and had ample protein. Between the two of us, we were stuffed with these two dishes! Overall, we were satisfied with our experience and will return next time we're craving Korean food!

The beef bone broth was very good

3 1/2 stars It was just OK. I go in, it's just your standard asian restaurant vibe on the inside. They have lunch specials, but they are only Monday through Friday. I was there on a Saturday, so I ordered off the regular menu. The cumin beef sounded interesting. Beef slices with onion, garlic, and cumin. That's what was listed on the menu. I asked the waiter if it was overly spicy because of the cumin, and he said, "no." it came with a cup of beef bone broth, that was very.delicious. It was rich, but not overly so. The cumin beef was just OK. The beef was very tender, and it did have a good flavor. You could taste the cumin. There were two problems with it. First of all, it was a little bit greasy. When I was done eating, you could see the oil left behind on the plate. The other thing, and this is a big one, is that even though they weren't listed on the menu there were red chili peppers in the dish. If somebody ordered this who was allergic, that could be a problem.... Plus, the chili peppers were over sautéed. If I accidentally put one in my mouth, I could taste the bitterness. The rice was well done, and it did help cut the spiciness a tiny bit, but not much. Because of the chili peppers, it was a bit spicy. It was right up to the edge of where I like spicy. My forehead was sweating. In some cases, if the flavor is good, I don't mind. But in this case, it was too much. Just an extremely OK meal. If an ingredient is not listed on the menu, it should not be in the Dish that is brought to you.... Lunch was OK, but I don't think I'll be back. Thanks anyway.

Spicy Korean Ramen (beef) and Asahi beer.

This place surprised me! I was staying in a hotel nearby and I was hungry, so I decided to give it a go. Upon glancing at the menu I had my doubts, only because I couldn't tell if this was Chinese food, Korean food, or what. I since realized that they call it "fusion" so that makes sense. Anyway, the ambience was nice. Clean, decorated pleasantly with slightly retro Asian vibes. The service was excellent. Attentive and friendly. I decided to try the spicy Korean ramen with beef. I was not disappointed. SO GOOD! I've been craving it ever since. It has kimchee, beef, egg, etc. And it was more than a little spicy. Yum! I had a beer to go with it. Highly recommended if you are into ramen.

The food was great and the service was wonderful. The ambience was great too. We ordered honey prawn walnuts. And they just melt in your mouth was very good and just the right amount of sauce over them. The chicken soup was wonderful loved it. Rice was great.

This place is great for vegetarians! We got the spicy eggplant, veggie dumplings, and sizzling tofu. Everything was well-executed and delicious--including the delicious banchan. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Stopped in here for a pick up order the other night. My kids and I ordered chicken lo mein, Bimbap (beef) and I got garlic chicken over rice with bone broth. It was very good. Definitely no complaints from the kiddos, they wanna order again on the next pay day. : ) When we walked inside we were greeted immediately and I did love the openness of the restaurant so I plan on wanting to go back for a sit-down meal.

Crispy eggplant was my favorite, hot pot was very good. My fiancé and I went here for date night and were pretty happy with what we ordered would definitely go here again.

Excellent food! This is traditional Chinese food, the cabbage lamb soup was perfect. It tasted what I would found in China. The eggplant is the best eggplant I had!! Can't believe in a small town exists such a good restaurant. Strongly recommend for those who are stopping by in Eureka.

Chicken chow mien, sea same balls, egg rolls, orange chicken, fried rice, ramen, soup, pork bao buns, and more.

I absolutely love Ginger! It is one of my favorites!! The customer service is exceptional and quick. I always leave full of tasty food! I recommend this place to everyone who's looking for a delicious meal! They have an amazing dim sum menu, we always get the chili oil wontons and they're amazing. One of my other go-to's is the chow mien, great flavor, always consistent. I usually go for chicken or beef but they're all great. The orange chicken is some of the best I've had, excellent. The real show stopper, my favorite that I've only tried recently, is the bulgogi. It's so tender! If you want a sweet treat, I get sesame balls everywhere I go and theirs are amazing! I've been with lots of different people who in combination have tried over half of the menu and they have all enjoyed their food every time. I've never had a bad experience here, always the opposite. The restaurant itself has a nice design and is very clean. It's great for big family events. I've been here with different groups of 2, 3, 4, and 6 and it's always amazing! I can't even count how many times I've been here, it's my go to place. If I could give more stars I would!! Give it a try, you'll be back for more!!!

Great food! Could use more vegetarian or plant based options. Would love a soup on the menu that doesn't have animal products.

It's been difficult traveling and finding good vegan options, especially with smaller towns that…read morehave lots of hours/days they aren't open, especially "Off season". I'm hoping this helps another vegan out there, or anyone really. We came in for an early ish dinner. At the time it was pretty mellow but that was appreciated because we just needed to relax and enjoy sitting down after hiking the last few days. Something fresh and not too rich where we could take out time and not feel gross. I was curious about the soul options being vegan or not because miso usually isn't, but they had this yummy sounding mushroom and veggie broth soup with vegetables and tofu (I think it's called Kenshin jiru but I might be absolutely butchering that). GET IT! It's not too heavy but has such a great flavor, plus the fresh veggies and bits of raw tofu for protein (they accidentally forgot the tofu but when I asked my server if they could just bring it on the side for me they were super nice about it). I also got some standard edamame and avocado maki roll, both of these were "fine", they did the trick but weren't amazing. My partner had the large hot sake which he loved, and then a tuna maki roll and the omakase nigiri. Same thing with his maki, fine nothing to write home about, but he loooved his omakase. They didn't tell us what was on it but I think it was albacore, salmon, salmon roe, mackerel, yellowtail, and tuna. He said it was some of the best tasting fish/nigiri he's had in a while. Our server was great at refilling our waters and checking in making sure we had everything and was just very sweet, so we appreciated them a lot. We'd definitely recommend!

We ordered a lot but it took far too long especially being the only two people in the entire place. The sushi rice was over handled and gummy. Never even asked if we wanted a water refill as my glass was empty. The roller (while we were waiting for our rolls) and wait staff then owner talked too much instead of caring for paying customers. I asked for the bill from across the room and that was acknowledged but it never came. I had to ask again and was pretty upset at that point. Zero tip. I'll find another place to favorite, I'm over this one
