The staff was beyond friendly from beginning to end which is always a HUGE plus in my book. They have a good selection of beer, and for the non-drinkers, they have a few options, not a whole lot but not a deal breaker, they do start you up with water as you decide on what to get , they have a giant wall size menu as well as a QR code on the table which you can directly order from, super convenient. OH MY GOSH.. the food was SOOOOOO GOOD!! the noodles were made to perfection, the meat was just right and the FLAVOR!! Super super tasty, the serving is generous and yes it's pricey but rightfully so. I couldn't stop smiling while I ate, it was that good!! This place has been on my to-try list for the longest time and I finally got to go. Worth every bit of the wait. The khao soi here is my favorite I've had. And I've had it all over, NYC, LA, SF, Philly, you name it. Every single element was on point. The broth had so much depth and the duck was cooked perfectly, still juicy with zero gaminess. For those who've had the duck at Gion Duck Noodles in Kyoto (ik I'm comparing two completely separate cuisines), the execution of this duck is better. I got the braised beef on the side and holy shit. Most spots fail braised beef in one of two ways: overcook it and it's dry, or braise it so long that it falls apart but loses all its succulence. This one threaded the needle perfectly. Still had a bite to it while being completely succulent. One of the best I've had. The waiter suggested the Thai sausage and I'm so glad I listened. Really nice snap to it and packed a serious punch. Thai sausage is not easy to come by and I order it every chance I get. This is the version I'll be benchmarking against. I've had this place on my list to try and today was the day. There was a wait when we got there at 12:30 PM on a Saturday and people were standing outside. You have to go inside to put your name on their waitlist. The restaurant is very small. The wait wasn't too bad. They only serve one dish here. It's a curry based broth with noodles, crispy noodles, crispy shallots and pickled mustard greens. What you get to choose is the meat. My daughter ordered the beef tenderloin and I ordered the oxtail. Order and pay on your phone using the QR code taped on the top of the table. The first bite was fantastic: flavorful, tenderloin was cooked well, oxtail was amazing with the meat just falling off the bone. Crispy noodles and shallots created lots of great texture. But Beware! The chopsticks are very thin and "weak" so if you aren't careful, when trying to pick up the noodles, broth will splash everywhere. I grew up using chopsticks so I have had some 50+ years of experience. It was good and I'm glad I tried it. Will I be back? I'm not sure... The first several bites were great but I found this broth heavy mid-way through the meal. Let's just say: lots of cream and very little vegetables. The Khao Soi became very monotonous and one-dimensional. The flavor was overwhelming because there wasn't any texture. All of the crispy elements had become soggy. My daughter suggested that the dish needed bok choy and I wholeheartedly agreed. Bok choy that adds a bit of crunch (texture) throughout the entire consumption of this dish and breaks up the heaviness of the broth with some freshness. It's savory, creamy, awesome and has a better spicy kick with some chili oil. The fried shallots add an extra crunch throughout the dish, and egg noodles are al dente and easy to chew. I ate this one really fast but was overall extremely satisfied. - One of my friends got their seared duck kaho soi. He said the broth overtakes the duck meat taste; otherwise the amount of spice was superb and he didn't need to add chili oil. - For one of my friends who is vegan, she was pleasantly surprised; her tofu kao soi broth was actually very flavorful when normally most broths in other vegetarian soups are bland. She didn't need any other condiments; the whole dish was already perfect and flavorful! - We all then split a passion fruit pie which was is small but relatively sweet. The passion fruit tart was already sweet on its own though the graham crackers somehow balance everything despite also being sweet. Even after several years this place still hits with big crowds! It was not busy, but the one waitress had a difficult time accommodating the crowd. It was a struggle to get the waitress's attention for water cups. I had ordered the seared duck breast khao soi. Once our food came, we were quite disappointed by the small portion, as well as how lukewarm the broth + noodles were. Flavor-wise, the broth is rich and savory but quite heavy and difficult to finish. Unlike most reviews, the dish has very very little spice, but maybe my spice tolerance is high. The noodles were also undercooked for me. The duck was quite tender but a little gamey for my preference. I had hoped for more acidic notes to balance the flavors. The place prioritized our party of 9 and were super accommodating, the food was good even if I asked if it was spicy so they said their default is mild spicy(for someone with no tolerance that would be "very " spicy in my vocabulary ). But they provided me more coconut milk to add to the soup so it would at least be manageable. The staff and owner were super hospitable and truly attentive to our needs. The Thai ice tea was not as sweet though i mean at least from what other Thai ice tea i had before. The duck is sous vide and then they torch it after to give the skin a slight smoky flavor. They give you a lot of duck pieces!! The duck is very soft and cooked well. The broth was a little bit salty when I initially tried it, so I do recommend using the lime that they provide to help lessen the saltiness. Otherwise, the broth was very creamy and full of flavor. You can taste the coconut and the curry flavors blend together and it wasn't too heavy nor spicy. I just wish there was more crispy egg noodle and that it wasn't broken up into very tiny pieces. Even though the portion of the dish was good for me (I have a smaller stomach), I can see people wanting more noodles. They could have given more broth as well, as all of the noodles and fried shallots absorbed a ton of the liquid. But overall a very good khao soi that just left me wanting more. The restaurant is not that big. It is mainly made for groups of 2-4 people. The service in the restaurant isn't very great (at least for us who have T-Mobile), so my boyfriend had to step towards the outside for our order to go through. First time trying Khao Soi and it was delicious. The seared duck was tender and cooked perfectly while the noodles had a good al dente chew to them. I'm very specific with my curry and I liked that this was a lighter curry soup that's not too heavy on the curry spice. You order your dishes through the QR code and also pay for your tab there so it's super easy and fast. Place is cute and simple but there's not much going on in the neighborhood I noticed. I came here on a whim one Tuesday evening and was surprised to see they rebranded! Previously they offered chicken and rice, and this time when I came in I found they now serve Thai khao soy! The new concept is great and I think I enjoyed this maybe even more than their previous dishes. They had specialty dishes which unfortunately were sold out hence led me to order the seared duck khao soi. The restaurant was busy but we didn't have to wait to get seated. Ambiance was chill with guests talking but not overly loud either. Overall a great place to come on a weekday night. Special shoutout to the staff member who notified my party of three only ordered two entrées and came by to confirm if this was accurate. Turns out the system missed my order and it didn't get processed. How awkward would it have been if only two dishes showed up and I was left watching my friends eat! read more

WOW! Came here for dinner to celebrate a milestone with some friends and the Khao Soi.. wow.. soooooooo goood! I ordered the braised beef khao soi and it did not disappoint. The meat was so tender. The noodles were perfectly cooked. Broth was so flavorful too! Only downside is that the place is kinda small so there will always be a line. You can hit the bars around the area while you wait for a table. Parking is all street parking too. Enjoy! You do not want to pass over this place! read more
